LACMA 2013 Art + Film Gala Menswear Roundup1

The boys also came out to play for the LACMA Art + Film Gala 2013 on Saturday evening and as you would expect, it was classic tuxedo’s all the way.

Michael B. Jordan: The actor wore a Gucci midnight blue peak lapel one button Signoria tuxedo with a white evening shirt, a navy satin bowtie and black leather laceups.

Sting: The British singer who performed at the event, donned a Gucci Fall 2013 black notch lapel wool Duke blazer with a contrasting velvet collar styled with a white dress shirt, black satin tie and black leather boots. The open top button keeps this look rock and roll.

Jake Gyllenhaal: In a sea of all black and midnight-blue, Jake stood out for me in his Gucci one of kind Marseille velvet shawl lapel one button midnight blue tuxedo styled with a white dress shirt, navy satin bowtie and black leather laceups. The velvet trims and a bowtie sealed the win.

Nicole-Richie-In-Dolce-Gabbana- Fall 2007-LACMA-Art-+-Film-Gala-2013

Nicole Richie joined Fergie and Drew Barrymore in opting not to wear Gucci on the red carpet while attending the third annual LACMA Art + Film Gala held at LACMA in California on Saturday evening, honouring filmmaker Martin Scorcese and artist David Hockney.

The designer wore another sheer number by Dolce & Gabbana, donning a floor-length, undergarments revealing frock featuring silver beading throughout with feather-and-bedazzled cuffs from the Fall 2007 collection.

A high fishtail braid, kohl-rimmed eyes, a House of Harlow clutch and geometric earrings rounded out her look

Salma Hayek In Gucci - LACMA Art + Film Gala 2013

Often I find Salma Hayek frustratingly inconsistent on the red carpet, but she looked resplendent while attending the third annual LACMA Art + Film Gala held at LACMA in California yesterday evening, honouring filmmaker Martin Scorcese and artist David Hockney.

In what’s probably her best look of the year, the actress stunned wearing a Gucci Première beige halter gown with delicate pewter decorative embellishments styled with a silver sculptural waistband and a silver clutch.

There were many great looks at this event, but this one really made me say wow.

I hope she will continue to stay consistent in this glorious manner going forward.

Drew Barrymore In Vivienne Westwood Anglomania - LACMA Art + Film Gala 2013

Drew Barrymore attended third annual LACMA Art + Film Gala held at LACMA in California yesterday evening. The event honoured filmmaker Martin Scorcese and artist David Hockney.

Like Fergie, the mother of one opted not to wear Gucci. Instead, she wore a Vivienne Westwood Anglomania ‘Twisted Puusti’ dress from the Fall 2013 collection featuring an ornate pattern layered up over sepia toned photographic prints, collaged together in an avant-garde style for an exceptionally creative finish.

I see where she was going here. I do love her accessories, including a pendant necklace, cream clutch and teal Christian Louboutin ‘Geo’ stud pumps, but this look desperately needed a belt.

Zoe Saldana In Gucci - LACMA Art + Film Gala 2013

After her meh Chloe dress earlier in the week, Zoe Saldana was back to her best for the third annual LACMA Art + Film Gala held at LACMA in California yesterday evening, honouring filmmaker Martin Scorcese and artist David Hockney.

The actress sizzled wearing a custom Gucci gown, which appears to be a Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 hybrid frock, featuring sheer, black and lime-green body contouring panels.

She styled her gown with sandals, a matching satin clutch and Gucci jewels, including a chunky bejewelled cuff. Tumbling curly tresses and smoky eyes completed the look.

I couldn’t help thinking of a similar dress worn by Gwyneth Paltrow earlier this year because both dresses feature ‘I’m going commando” sheer sides.

This put a lot of you off Gwynie’s Antonio Berardi gown. Do you feel the same with this look?
