Sonam Kapoor In Maticevski – L’Oréal Paris Femina Women Awards

Sonam Kapoor In Maticevski - L'Oréal Paris Femina Women Awards

Sonam Kapoor attended the L’Oréal Paris Femina Women Awards on Monday (March 23) in Mumbai.

I was totally blown away by her Toni Maticevski pale-pink gown.

On her last outing she opted for something more adventurous, which paid off, but here we see her back to her breath-taking best, with the words pretty-in-pink never more apparent.

At first glance you might write this off as a typical princess gown, and while it does have a fairy-tale vision and is intrinsically charming, the asymmetrical neckline and exaggerated hips lend a more contemporary feel.

A braided updo and jewelled Leiber minaudiere completed her look, which may very well be taking pride of place on my BDOTY list. It is that good.

Sonam Kapoor In Jean Louis Sabaji – 2015 Filmfare Awards

Sonam Kapoor In Jean Louis Sabaji - 2015 Filmfare Awards

Sonam Kapoor attended the Filmfare Awards on Thursday (February 26) in Mumbai, India, where she picked up an award for being the ‘Most Stylish Star’ of the year and the ‘Trendsetter’ of the year.

She owned the red carpet wearing a Jean Louis Sabaji Fall 2015 gown that, despite its slinky silhouette, brought plenty of drama to the occasion courtesy of that feather-accented black train. This gown personifies why I love Lebanese designers: bold in design and oozing with glamour.

It also signifies a refreshing change in direction for Sonam, who is often expressive in her red carpet looks but frequently plays it safe.

Working a slicked-back hairdo and dramatic eyes, she was right to keep the rest of the styling simple, with the full focus on her masterpiece.

Love or loathe?

Kareena Kapoor In Roberto Cavalli Atelier - 2015 Filmfare Awards

Kareena Kapoor attended the Filmfare Awards on Thursday (February 26) in Mumbai, India, where she picked up an award for being the ‘Most Glamorous Star’ of the year.

The actress certainly lived up to her title wearing a yellow Roberto Cavalli Atelier beaded gown dexterously highlighting the upper body. This masterpiece owns the centre stage with its form-fitting silhouette and springtime colour for pronounced eloquence.

Simply styled with Louboutin shoes, Gehna jewels and a Judith Leiber clutch, is this a BDOTW-worthy look?

Priyanka Chopra In Maticevski – Star Guild Awards

Priyanka Chopra In Maticevski - Star Guild Awards

Priyanka Chopra attended the Star Guild Awards on Sunday (January 13) where she picked up another ‘Best Actress’ award for ‘Mary Kom’.

The actress wore a fluorescent orange mesh Maticevski Resort 2015 strapless gown featuring a fitted bodice and a dramatic high-low skirt with tuck details at front and side.

The impactful piece was styled with a rose-gold Mawi necklace and matching glitter Louboutins with her hair swept up into a bouffant ponytail.

This is a much bolder look from Priyanka – a much stronger and fiercer step outside her comfort zone.

I would’ve perhaps lost the necklace, but everything else works for me.

You may remember that Lily Collins gave this dress its red carpet debut late last year.

Priyanka Chopra In Theia – 21st Lion’s Gold Awards

Priyanka Chopra In Theia - 21st Lion's Gold Awards

Priyanka Chopra attended the 21st Lion’s Gold Awards ceremony in Mumbai on Tuesday (January 6) where she picked up an award for her film, ‘Mary Kom’.

Oozing elegance, the Bollywood beauty was working a 50s-style look, donning a Theia Spring 2014 bright pink brocade tea-length party dress with a black boat-neck crepe bodice.

This fit-and-flare style is anything but demure with its vibrant pink skirt, but the look was toned down with Jimmy Choo nude and black mesh pumps, Vinita Michael vintage earrings and a chic updo.
