Carey Mulligan opted for a head-to-toe black look on the red carpet for the 15th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala last night where she picked up the ‘Supporting Actress’ award for ‘Shame’.
The British actress had been M.I.A. on the red carpet for a while, but she made a welcome return giving us a second look from the Bottega Veneta Spring 2012 collection on the red carpet.
Her embellished halter dress was paired with simple black satin Ferragamo peep-toes and a Bottega Veneta waxy studded intrecciato leather box clutch.
What I love most about this look is Carey’s hair and makeup.
As we know, she tends not to pay too much attention to this department, but her smoky eyes, nude lips and blonde quiff provide the perfect finishing touches and prevent this look from feeling too one-note.
