Olivia Munn In L'Wren Scott - Harpers Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards 2013

Olivia Munn was among the star-studded set at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, held at Claridge’s Hotel in London yesterday evening.

While she usually lands on much sexier fare, the exotic beauty chose a head-to-toe look from L’Wren Scott’s Fall 2013 collection. The gold embellished neck collar — along with matching embellished pocket linings at front — provided this teal-green cocktail sheath with a little pizazz… but not much.

Because Olivia chose to wear her hair down with simple hoop earrings, we don’t really get to focus only on the statement details of the dress. I would have loved to seen this look worn with her hair swept back. As is, though, it falls a little flat for me.

To finish, she wore coordinating gold peep-toe pumps, which came across as too matchy-matchy for my taste.

Ruth Wilson In Peter Pilotto - Harper’s Bazaar Woman Of The Year Awards 2013

Ruth Wilson joined Cate Blanchett, Naomie Harris and Victoria Beckham on the red carpet for the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards held at Claridge’s Hotel in London yesterday evening.

I often associate the British actress with Dior so I was delighted to see her try something new on the red carpet, donning a multi-print Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 fiery frock featuring a sheer asymmetrical panel at the waist and a flared A-line skirt which thankfully maintained its volume off the runway.

This dress was a big challenge for her (as it would be for anyone), and one she could’ve easily pulled off, but the cutesy curls don’t quite go with the edgy, fashion-forward frock.

Had she sexed it up with a sleek ponytail, low bun or even a centre-parted straightened ‘do, I would’ve loved this look.

Naomie Harris In Gucci - Harper’s Bazaar Woman Of The Year Awards 2013

Naomie Harris joined a host of award-winning stars such as Cate Blanchett, Victoria Beckham and Rita Ora for the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards held at Claridge’s Hotel in London yesterday evening, where she picked up the British Actress of the Year award.

Opting for a look from Gucci’s Spring 2014 collection, the stunning actress selected this pale-pink-and-orange jacquard spaghetti-strapped jumpsuit with the black mesh bra which Rosie Huntington-Whiteley opted to wear with her look on Saturday evening.

I know many of you weren’t too fond of the bra being a feature on many of the pieces from this collection, but Naomie pulls it off without a hint of the look feeling tacky, and I think that is down to her not being too well endowed.

Black suede-and-patent-leather open-toe Gucci booties with black elastic bands, silver earrings and a black Edie Parker clutch completed her look.

I love the look from head to toe; her makeup couldn’t be more perfect. I’m in awe.

Mollie King In Gucci - Harper’s Bazaar Woman Of The Year Awards 2013

Mollie King attended the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards held at Claridges Hotel in London yesterday evening alongside Victoria Beckham, Rita Ora and Cate Blanchett.

The Saturdays singer is usually the better dresser of all the girls, but on this occasion I’m totally perplexed by her look.

While I love her Gucci Fall 2013 contrast-print houndstooth and Prince-of-Wales-check dress with a sexy black neck panel, this dress couldn’t be more wrong for her.

Yes, she has every right to experiment outside the what-is-expected-of-a-girl-band Topshop, AQ/AQ and Three Floor mini frocks, but this dress would look better on a grown woman.

By that I mean a Jessica Chastain, Nicole Kidman or Cate Blanchett; they possess the poise and confidence to carry this look.

On Mollie it ages her, drastically, but I appreciate the effort.

A sweeping updo and Gucci ‘Lili’ sandals completed her look.

Rita Ora In Ermanno Scervino - Harper’s Bazaar Woman Of The Year Awards 2013

Despite many of you outside (and even inside) the UK failing to understand the big deal about Rita Ora, the British singer was honoured with the Musician of the Year award last night while attending the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards at Claridge’s Hotel in London.

Working a new platinum ‘do, Rita opted for another winter-white look, donning a lightly embellished long-sleeved lace Ermanno Scervino Fall 2013 gown, which she styled with a silver ear cuff and a selection of silver rings.

The gown is stunning and I’m slowing coming to grips with the hair, but I’m not a fan of the ghostly makeup with the bold red lip.
