Kylie Minogue In Nina Ricci – GQ Men Of The Year Award 2013

Kylie Minogue In Nina Ricci - GQ Men Of The Year Award 2013

Kylie Minogue was honoured with the ‘Gentlewoman of the Year’ award at the GQ Men of the Year Awards held at Komische Oper in Berlin, Germany yesterday evening.

Before presenting her with the award, José RedondoVega, editor-in-chief of GQ Germany said “Kylie Minogue has managed to become the dream woman and icon for several generations. She is the embodiment of a pop icon and has reinvented herself for each decade. And yet Kylie Minogue the person never disappears behind an artificial facade. It is precisely the ease of her music that makes it so profound.”
She accepted her award wearing a beautiful white Nina Ricci gown, taking a rare night off from wearing Dolce & Gabbana or Roberto Cavalli.

The frothy flamenco-style gown with a corseted bodice, rise-and-fall hemline and cascading ruffles was styled with gold sandals, drop earrings, neutral makeup and a chic updo.
She really is a timeless beauty.

Ellie Goulding In Julien Macdonald – 2013 GQ Men Of The Year Awards

Ellie Goulding In Julien Macdonald - 2013 GQ Men Of The Year Awards

While live reporting on the 2013 GQ Men Of The Year Awards yesterday evening, it appears I missed Ellie Goulding.

The singer was spotted at The Royal Opera House in London wearing two Julien Macdonald Fall 2013 looks.

For the red carpet she wore a feather-festooned and mirror-embellished mini dress styled with Rupert Sanderson ‘Moiki’ silver cut-out metallic pumps and a silver clutch. I will surprise myself and say that I kinda like the look, although every time I see her hair I wish she had done something different with it. A ponytail would’ve been perfect.

Her second Macdonald dress was worn to the after-party. This more daring embellished mini dress isn’t my favourite. It’s more JLo than Ellie Goulding. It’s a sexy dress, yet there is no sex appeal here.

GQ Men Of The Year Awards Menswear Round Up

Excluding Eddie Redmayne, the GQ Men Of The Year Awards held at The Royal Opera House in London yesterday evening was awash with handsome men in dark suits.

Justin Timberlake (in Tom Ford) and Pharrell Williams (in Lanvin) both opted for textured suits with bow ties jazzing up the traditional tux, while David Gandy kept it simple and classic in his Henry Poole & Co. bespoke three-piece suit.

Alexa Chung In Carven – GQ Men of the Year Awards

Alexa Chung In Carven - GQ Men of the Year Awards

Alexa Chung took to the red carpet at The Royal Opera House in London this evening for the 2013 GQ Men Of The Year Awards.

The British star wore a Carven Fall 2013 long-sleeved metallic faille top and matching skirt in a light-blue hue, which she disappointingly, but not surprisingly, styled with black pumps.

My favourite part of this look is her Chanel Perspex chain-accented clutch in the shape of a Chanel No. 5 bottle from the Resort 2014 collection.

Normally one to scream for a pop of colour, I think the red lips are too stark for this look on this occasion.

Do you agree?

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley In Versace – GQ Men of the Year Awards

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley In Versace - GQ Men of the Year Awards

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley joined many celebs on the red carpet at The Royal Opera House in London this evening for the 2013 GQ Men Of The Year Awards.

The Versace Fall 2013 collection wasn’t my favourite, with far too many PVC dresses for my personal tastes, but I have to say Rosie is selling this form-fitting white PVC dress with thin metallic straps to me.

That could have a lot to do with the simple styling of this look: stripping back the runway OTT-ness and presenting a cleaner, fresher look, with python Louboutins and flawless makeup rounding off the look.

Does Rosie manage to sell this white PVC dress to you?
