Rita Ora In Zuhair Murad Couture – 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Rita Ora In Zuhair Murad Couture - 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Rita Ora slinked onto the red carpet of the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards, held in association with Hugo Boss at The Royal Opera House in London, England on Tuesday (September 2).

The event was all about the guys, but the songstress was certainly a star of the show. She brought a headrush of sparkling glamour to the proceedings, absolutely stunning in a Zuhair Murad Fall 2014 Couture confection with a striking, geometric sequin motif.

Although the asymmetric gown could have gone so wrong with its sheer detailing and hip-high slit, Rita pulled it off with perfection.

From the super-smoky eye and nude lip to the disappearing nude sandals and well-placed jewels, the styling was on point. I even loved the rad braided, platinum faux-hawk.

Seeing the thin metallic belt on the model likewise made me wish for it on Rita. But overlooking that detail, this is how to do sexy, rebel rock-star while still flaunting a sophisticated edge.

Nicole Scherzinger swept onto the red carpet of the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards in association with Hugo Boss, hosted at The Royal Opera House in London, England on Tuesday (September 2).

Like Ellie Goulding, Nicole also showed a softer side in an Ermanno Scervino gown, hers from the Resort 2015 collection, complemented by highlighted wavy tresses and nude makeup.

The blush-pink colour and ruched design of the dress was gracefully delicate, but the hourglass silhouette was all about the sultry appeal.

Also sizzling were her fiery diamond jewels, whilst the sharpness of that black talon manicure ensured this look wasn’t without a dose of edgy attitude.

Natalie Dormer In Emilio Pucci – 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Natalie Dormer was also on the red carpet for the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards, held in association with Hugo Boss at The Royal Opera House in London, England on Tuesday (September 2).

The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress wasn’t hard to spot in her bright marigold keyhole dress, modified from the design that took to the Emilio Pucci Fall 2014 runway, which had me temporarily missing the liquid draping of the long gown.

But this little number was all about the retro glitz, accessorized with black strappy sandals, a black and gold hardware clutch, and the requisite kohl-lined cat eye.

With those bouncy bombshell curls, I nearly forgot about her half-shaven ‘Hunger Games’ ’do.

Ellie Goulding attended the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards, hosted in association with Hugo Boss at The Royal Opera House in London, England on Tuesday (September 2).

The British singer wore an Ermanno Scervino Spring 2014 white gown with dimensional lace appliqué, creating a soft, fluttery effect—and a bit of a bridal aura.

Mirroring the more delicate nature of the dress, she kept her styling simple with subtle nude makeup, tousled locks and minimal jewels.

GQ Men Of The Year Party

GQ Men Of The Year PartyIt’s no surprise that Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o weren’t the only ones cutting handsome—and pretty—profiles at the GQ 2013 ‘Men of the Year’ party, hosted last night in Los Angeles, California. There was plenty more eye candy to spare.

James Van Der Beek: The actor brought out his own baby blues in a Todd Snyder ensemble, ratcheting up his grey plaid suit with a blue shirt, lighter tie and mixed-print pocket square. The grand finale of the look, though, were those blue shoelaces on his brown loafers.

Darby Stanchfield: Decked out in a burgundy-red Emilio De La Morena Fall 2012 gown, the ‘Scandal’ star mixed sophistication and edginess with this streamlined, lacquered-bodice dress, which actually set off her slicked-back, flame-toned locks. You may remember Julianne Hough previously wore this gown.

Chace Crawford: The actor opted for a light dove-grey, wool two-button small notch lapel suit by Dior Homme, which he wore with a white cotton, button-down shirt, black silk tie and black leather derbies. Something about the suit wasn’t as sizzling as his stare.
