Caroline Issa In BOSS – 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Caroline Issa In BOSS - 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Caroline Issa attended the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards held at The Royal Opera House on Tuesday (September 2) in London, England.

Widely known as a street-style darling, the Tank Magazine executive fashion director has a lot more feathers in her cap: along with columnist for The Telegraph, and much-courted fashion consultant, now she can add designer to her resumé as her Nordstrom Signature x Caroline Issa collection will launch in 53 Nordstrom stores and on Nordstrom.com in February, just in time for Fall 2015 Fashion Week.

Caroline wore a typically chic and understated look, selecting a Boss Fall 2014 ivory silk dress with chiffon inserts styled with L.K. Bennett accessories.

I love how this look exudes dressed-up girlish flair. I marvel at how she nails it every time.

This night wasn’t going to be the night where she wore her hair down, sticking instead to her signature simple bun, with barely there makeup rounding out her look.

Lindsay Lohan In Balmain – 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Lindsay Lohan In Balmain - 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Lindsay Lohan was one of the guest presenters at the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards held at The Royal Opera House on Tuesday (September 2) in London, England.

The actress’s red carpet moments aren’t always that great, with a lot more dishevelment than style, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how nicely she scrubbed up on this occasion.

Wearing a Balmain Fall 2014 long-sleeved gown encrusted with diamantes creating zebra stripes and with a slash to the thigh, she styled her frock with a selection of silver jewels and black pumps.

I can’t fault the hair or makeup either.

Is this a hit or miss for you?

Lara Stone In Christopher Kane – 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Lara Stone In Christopher Kane - 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

David Walliams and Lara Stone attended the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards held at The Royal Opera House on Tuesday (September 2) in London, England.

While David looked very dapper in a classic black and white shawl-collar suit, it’s his leggy arm candy which grabbed my eye.

Lara looked very statuesque wearing a Christopher Kane Pre-Fall 2014 LBD decorated with a playful molecule-inspired motif with silver faux-leather and fuchsia mesh appliqués.

As always, the makeup is barely there, allowing her natural beauty to shine through, with simple all-black accessories rounding out her look.

You may remember that Diane Kruger wore the same dress back in July but with blue mesh appliqués.

Jenna Coleman In Saint Laurent – 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Jenna Coleman In Saint Laurent - 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Jenna Coleman attended the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards held at The Royal Opera House on Tuesday (September 2) in London, England.

Bucking the trends of going sheer or opting for a plunging neckline, the ‘Doctor Who’ actress served up her regular sweet style donning a ’60s-style dress from Saint Laurent’s Fall 2014 collection.

Showered with tiny gold sequins, her tweed frock with a high neckline is cool and oh-so-covetable, especially when styled with those directional black sandals we saw her wearing during her ‘Doctor Who’ promo tour.

The rest of the styling was kept simple, with wing-tipped eyes and sleek straight tresses swept back over her shoulders.

Daisy Lowe In Barbara Casasola – 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Daisy Lowe In Barbara Casasola - 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Daisy Lowe served up quite a generous amount of boobage on the red carpet at the GQ Men of the Year Awards held at The Royal Opera House on Tuesday (September 2) in London, England.

I can imagine she had jaws falling to the floor on sight of her wearing this Barbara Casasola Fall 2014 grey tweed jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, which she of course opted to wear sans the sheer black top we saw on the runway.

While some might be put off by the neckline, I find myself marvelling at the impeccable tailoring; this really is an exquisite piece. You know how I can’t help but drool over a jumpsuit.

I also find myself loving the bright red pumps, the Chanel arm candy, her brunette locks teased into loose curls, and her natural makeup.

Jessie J In Vintage Jean Paul Gaultier – 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Jessie J In Vintage Jean Paul Gaultier - 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

What with all the daring necklines, thigh-high slits and sheerness going on at the GQ Men of the Year Awards held at The Royal Opera House on Tuesday (September 2) in London, England, Jessie J fitted right in on this red carpet.

The British singer, who has been taking the US by storm, was oozing sex appeal wearing a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier emerald-green gown with a draped plunging neckline and slit to the hip bone.

I’m not always a fan of her looks, finding her frustratingly inconsistent at times, but I love the sultry, not-try-hard vibe; plus, the styling, which included black Saint Laurent sandals and Stephen Webster jewels, allowed the dress to shine.

Hair- and makeup-wise, pretty damn flawless.
