Cristina Castaño In Versace – 2017 Goya Awards

Red hair, red dress, red carpet—and red hot. Such was the theme for Cristina Castaño upon her arrival at the 2017 Goya Awards on Saturday (February 4) in Madrid.

I’m so glad she didn’t shy away from this crimson Versace one-shoulder gown on account of her hair colour, as it was a striking complement to her fiery locks.

A belt provided some structure to the graceful waterfall drape of the dress.

However, her styling elevated the Old Hollywood glamour of the look even more, with side-swept waves and, yes, a red lip along with Cartier jewels and a Christian Louboutin clutch completing the elegant entrance.

Bárbara Lennie In Gucci – 2017 Goya Awards

Spain’s own version of the Oscars, the 2017 Goya Awards, were hosted on Saturday (February 4) in Madrid, with Spanish actress Bárbara Lennie in attendance.

She swept across the red carpet in a Gucci Spring 2017 layered tulle gown. It’s not a dress that’s easily forgotten, so you may remember that Sienna Miller wore the same one just a few weeks ago.

However, despite the quirky sensibility of the look, there’s something whimsically enticing about the clash of the pastel blue and bright yellow colour palette topped off with the sweetness of the embellished bow. So, I didn’t mind seeing it get a second entrance.

Plus, it was interesting to see the gown take on a slightly more dramatic tone with Bárbara’s jet-black locks and icy blue earrings.

Penelope Cruz In Oscar de la Renta - 2015 Goya Awards

Penelope Cruz attended the 2015 Goya Awards held at Centro de Congresos Principe Felipe on February 7, 2015 in Madrid, Spain.

The Spanish actress made a long awaited return to the red carpet wearing a strapless Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2015 navy tiered gown decked with embellishments which was typically grand in design yet prim and ladylike in style.

Upping the elegance factor a few more notches, she styled her look with Chopard jewels and a Jimmy Choo clutch.

She dazzled me. What say you?

Nieves Alvarez In Stéphane Rolland Couture – 2015 Goya Awards

Nieves Alvarez In Stéphane Rolland - 2015 Goya Awards

Nieves Alvarez attended the 2015 Goya Awards held at Centro de Congresos Principe Felipe on Saturday (February 7) in Madrid, Spain.

Ruling this red carpet like she has on so many occasions, the model took center stage sweeping the red carpet with her Stéphane Rolland Fall 2014 Couture tuxedo-inspired gown featuring a mesh bodice and dual colour black and white-clouds-breaking-the-storm skirt with shredded organza appliqués.

Her supremely elegant look was styled with Bulgari jewels and a black Christian Louboutin satin bow accented clutch.

I have to say I much prefer the red carpet styling with the nude lip and wavy faux bob.

She really is the master at her craft; looking drop-dead gorgeous on every possible occasion.

Dafne Fernandez In The 2nd Skin Co. – 2015 Goya Awards

Dafne Fernandez In The 2nd Skin Co- 2015 Goya Awards

As always, my heart skipped several beats upon seeing Dafne Fernandez on the red carpet for the 2015 Goya Awards held at Centro de Congresos Principe Felipe on Saturday (February 7) in Madrid, Spain.

Not one to disappoint, the Spanish beauty wore a romantic lilac hued The 2nd Skin Co. gown featuring a cluster of floral appliqués on the bodice.

Exuding sophisticated elegance she opted for neutral makeup only highlighting her eyes with a slick back do, ensuring that this masterpiece was the centre of attention.

Yes, this was also one of my favourite of the night. I was floored by both the colour and the effortless style.
