Ana Belén In Delpozo – 2017 Goya Awards

Ana Belén won an honorary award for her career at the 2017 Goya Awards, held on Saturday (February 4) in Madrid. But it was her dress that should receive major applause, too.

The Spanish singer-actress took my breath away in this Delpozo Spring 2015 gown that paired the sharp lines of imaginative sculpture with a flowing chiffon skirt.

For Ana, the modification of the skirt to be monochromatic and lined was the right call, as it only increased the fluid artistry of the dress.

The clutch is better left ignored, as its yellowish cast was an unnecessary distraction.

Clara Lago In Santos Costura – 2017 Goya Awards

Clara Lago was also in attendance at the 2017 Goya Awards on Saturday (February 4) in Madrid.

The Spanish starlet wore a Santos Costura woven halter gown, with the car wash hem providing a beautiful sense of movement—even if the dress fell a tad bit long, puddling on the red carpet.

She topped off the look with a braided bun whilst a metallic clutch, earrings, and nude makeup all echoed the hue of the dress, creating something of a one-note effect.

Cristina Castaño In Versace – 2017 Goya Awards

Red hair, red dress, red carpet—and red hot. Such was the theme for Cristina Castaño upon her arrival at the 2017 Goya Awards on Saturday (February 4) in Madrid.

I’m so glad she didn’t shy away from this crimson Versace one-shoulder gown on account of her hair colour, as it was a striking complement to her fiery locks.

A belt provided some structure to the graceful waterfall drape of the dress.

However, her styling elevated the Old Hollywood glamour of the look even more, with side-swept waves and, yes, a red lip along with Cartier jewels and a Christian Louboutin clutch completing the elegant entrance.

Bárbara Lennie In Gucci – 2017 Goya Awards

Spain’s own version of the Oscars, the 2017 Goya Awards, were hosted on Saturday (February 4) in Madrid, with Spanish actress Bárbara Lennie in attendance.

She swept across the red carpet in a Gucci Spring 2017 layered tulle gown. It’s not a dress that’s easily forgotten, so you may remember that Sienna Miller wore the same one just a few weeks ago.

However, despite the quirky sensibility of the look, there’s something whimsically enticing about the clash of the pastel blue and bright yellow colour palette topped off with the sweetness of the embellished bow. So, I didn’t mind seeing it get a second entrance.

Plus, it was interesting to see the gown take on a slightly more dramatic tone with Bárbara’s jet-black locks and icy blue earrings.
