Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Roksanda IlincicAmerican actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead is known for her fright-femme roles in horror flicks. I’m afraid she channeled a scary fashion vibe at the Warner Bros. and InStyle Golden Globe Awards After Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday evening.

Her Roksanda Ilincic chiller unfortunately stood out for all the wrong reasons at the party.

From the white turtleneck collar to the sheen of the black fabric and its strange single-bar detail at the bodice, I couldn’t understand this dress.

The star’s slicked-back hair, red lip and old-fashioned stud earrings added to the confusion.

Hopefully it all looked better in person…

Felicity Jones In Miu Miu - Warner Bros And InStyle Golden Globe Awards After PartyFelicity Jones was a true gem at the Warner Bros. and InStyle Golden Globe Awards After Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday evening.

The British actress was quite the English rose in her pale blush-toned Miu Miu gown; a strapless wonder that nodded to vintage glamour with its peplum detail and the jeweled brooch at the waist.

She enriched the look even more with a muted grey satin box clutch by Prada and satin, jewel-embellished Miu Miu slingback heels.

A petal pink lip and a soft updo with a few wispy, unpinned strands around her face completed this romantic look.

Jena Malone In Cushnie Et Ochs - Warner Bros And InStyle Golden Globe Awards After PartyThis starlet made our Ones to Watch in 2013 list, and it certainly was hard not to notice her at the Warner Bros. and InStyle Golden Globe Awards After Party, hosted at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday evening.

She proved she is no shrinking violet in a hot magenta number from Cushnie et Ochs’ Resort 2013 collection.

It was a slinky, long silhouette and just a bit seductive with a keyhole cutout and a slit up to the knee.

However, the black version of Jimmy Choo’s edgy, perforated ‘Malika’ sandals, plus a black clutch and dark nail lacquer, all contrasted a bit too heavily for this neon bright gown.

While Jena’s pulled-back hair was a bit severe, the dress’s halter neck did require some sort of updo—and the style did serve to show off her bold statement earrings.

Emma Roberts in Maria Lucia Hohan - Golden Globe PartyPresenter Julia Roberts was noticeably absent from much of the 2013 Golden Globes red-carpet action, but her niece Emma Roberts brought out her best pose for the Warner Bros. and InStyle Golden Globe Awards After Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday evening.

The up-and-coming starlet mixed girly with all-grown-up in her black, strapless party dress by Maria Lucia Hohan paired with a sparkling headband, earring and Lemaresca clutch.

While this frock yet again played to the sheer and solid trend with its illusion middle and diaphanous layers, it all seemed a bit vampy and overwrought for this PYT.

The red stilettos and matching red lipstick were just too literal.

It wasn’t the most compelling entrance we’ve seen from our Best Emerging Designer of 2012.

Jaime King In Emilio Pucci - Golden Globes PartyJaime King joined a host of bright young things at the Warner Bros. and InStyle Golden Globe Awards After Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday evening.

While there, she flaunted a gown from Emilio Pucci Spring 2013, where designer Peter Dundas peppered his collection with traditional Asian motifs.

Subtle chinoiserie-inspired embroidery twisted and wove its way from the bottom to the cutout halter top, but the creamy color quelled the impact of the fiery dragon on Jaime’s torso.

A similar look was seen on the runway—except in sheer black—but this actress and former model opted for a more conservative interpretation of the dress.

Sleek, straight hair and a smoldering eye perfected the subtle sizzle of this look.

Sophia Bush In Lisa Ho - Warner Bros And InStyle Golden Globe Awards After Party

Sophia Bush is usually one of my favourites on the red carpet, but I couldn’t get behind her look for the Warner Bros. and InStyle Golden Globe Awards After Party in LA on Sunday evening.

She wore a white Lisa Ho Spring 2012 gown with a light chiffon skirt which would’ve worked so much better for me without the excessive frothy shoulder details.

Between the shoulder detail and her long bangs, I feel like I can’t see her beautiful face.

The pops of pink and silver Diane von Furstenberg clutch unfortunately can’t save this look.
