Zosia Mamet In Preen - Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013

Making a rather festive entrance, Zosia Mamet was no wallflower at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013, hosted at Berkeley Square Gardens in London on Tuesday night.

The ‘Girls’ star, who won the International TV Actress award, wore a Preen Fall 2013 dress for the occasion.

Featuring heavy embellishment, the frock was decorated with multicoloured jewels that were shaped into floral blooms and arranged in a trellis pattern. This was a glittery garden, to say the least, but the silhouette of the dress and the waist-widening black center band left something to be desired.

While the sparkling ensemble had some fun flourish, it didn’t stand a chance with the lacklustre styling. Plain black pumps didn’t deliver the same zing as the red runway booties.

Once again the minimal makeup trend was alive and well here, except for Zosia’s overly exaggerated winged cat eye. But a bold lippie or a bit of blush would have breathed some life into this look.

Rita Ora In Marchesa - Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013

Earlier this week I was perplexed by Rita Ora’s Alexandre Vauthier look, today at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013, held at Berkeley Square Gardens in London, I have to give her a stand ovation.

The British singer, with the most inconsistent style, looked stunning wearing a Marchesa Spring 2013 gown.

Her pale-grey – typically dramatic and romantic – Marchesa gown with silver embroidery and tulle layers was styled with Chopard jewels.

I think many of you hit the nail on the head when you attributed her signature red lippie as the reason why many of her looks fail. It’s just too harsh at times.

On this occasion she opted for a softer nude lip colour, however, she did go for a heavy smoky eye.

Much improved or will you just never get on board with Rita’s style?

Jessie J In Gucci - Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013

Looking both bold and beautiful, Jessie J stood out on the red carpet for the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013, held at Berkeley Square Gardens in London on Tuesday evening.

The singer, who performed at Gucci’s ‘Chime for Change’ concert on Saturday, wore a Gucci Spring 2013 ensemble.

Her electric-blue hued look featuring a tunic with layered, ruffled sleeves and wide leg pants was styled with a Gucci Spring 2013 perspex clutch and gold statement earrings.

Like Victoria Beckham, Jessie’s pants were probably a tad too long, but she’s looks amazing in this look nonetheless.

I love how this buzz-cut has totally transformed her look.

Louise Redknapp In Valentino - Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013

Lousie Redknapp attended the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013, held at Berkeley Square Gardens in London on Tuesday evening.

The TV presenter, who was joined on the red carpet by her handsome hubby Jamie Redknapp, wore a cute Valentino long sleeve, high neck red lace dress with a scalloped hem.

She styled her romantic frock with a Valentino ‘Rock Stud’ pumps and Lanvin snakeskin pumps.

I only like this from the neck down and ankles up.

The snakeskin pumps don’t work with the dress, and while the barely-there makeup trend worked for so many stars at the CFDA Fashion Awards last night, Louise looks a tad tired here.

Victoria Beckham In Maison Martin Margiela - Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013

After last night celebration of American fashion at the 2013 CFDA Awards, the Brits were out in full force for the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013, held at the Berkeley Square Gardens in London this evening.

Victoria Beckham looked amazing striking her famous pose on the red carpet.

You’ll be surprised to discover that she’s not wearing her own label; instead she selected a Maison Martin Margiela Spring 2013 look.

Her look featured a sculptural strapless sweet-heart top with oversized pants which she styled with black sandals and a gold Victoria Beckham clutch from the her Spring 2013 collection.

With David still in the US her plus one for the evening was her eldest son Brooklyn who wore Burberry Tailoring.

With so many colourful suits on the red carpet last night, Pharrell Williams opted for a simple traditional look.

The musician joined in the celebrations at the 2012 Glamour Women of the Year Awards at Carnegie Hall in New York City yesterday evening.

He wore a head-to-toe Lanvin look, which featured a black suit, white dress shirt, black dickie-bow, a rubberized blue leather belt and dark-blue leather tassel loafers.

Slick, hip and effortless.

Sometimes you have to appreciate a classic look, no matter how many times you’ve seen it before.
