Jordana Brewster In Dsquared² – 2014 ESPY Awards

Jordana Brewster In Dsquared² - 2014 ESPYS

Jordana Brewster attended the 2014 ESPY Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Wednesday (July 16) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a Dsquared2 Fall 2014 fawn leather short-sleeved shift dress with a skirt enriched with paillette detailing.

I love the classic yet modern silhouette of this dress which is given a twist of fashion-forward edge with the embellished skirt.

Simple yet complementary Kurt Geiger ‘Anja’ nude pumps, a simple updo and red lips rounded out her look.

ESPY Awards Trend Spotting: Long, Loose Waves

ESPY Awards Trend Spotting Long, Loose Waves

When it came to their hair at Wednesday’s ESPY Awards, nearly all the lovely attendees chose to wear it down. And while a few people went for a sleek look (Danica Patrick, Marisa Miller), there were lots of tousled waves, and quite a few deep, side parts, too. Trend alert!

Lake Bell and Katherine Webb epitomized the effortless, summer look, while Chrissy Teigen took her part even deeper, and left her curls a bit more precise, and kept the top of her locks straight. Olivia Wilde’s translation of the trend was the ‘cleanest’, with a smoother, less tousled curl.

To achieve this look, you want to keep (or add!) some texture to your hair as you blow dry, so add a mousse to your wet hair, and then rough dry it (use only your fingers to tousle as you dry–no brush).

Once it’s dry, spray it with a texturizing spray, and then chose the location of your part. Once the part is in place, use a curling iron and curl your entire head, alternating directions of the curl to create a messier look. If you want to recreate Chrissy’s look, instead of winding the entire length of your hair on the wand, stop mid-length to keep the top straight.

Once the curls are complete, run your fingers through them to pull them a little looser and make things a bit more tousled.

Finally, set the look with a flexible hold hair spray to keep the waves in place, but still moving.

2013 ESPY Awards Menswear Round Up

2013 ESPY Awards Men

Not willing to be beat by the gathering of glam girls at the 2013 ESPY Awards, some of the boys also brought their fashion A-game to the red carpet at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California on Wednesday.

LeBron James: Scoring three trophies, including one for Best Male Athlete, the Miami Heat basketball pro outfitted his tall frame in a Waraire Boswell burgundy custom suit with a wide black shawl lapel that was polished off with a big black bow tie. One thing’s certain, LeBron brought some red-hot heat with this slightly OTT outing. Slam dunk or fashion foul?

Jason Sudeikis: The comedian played to the summer season with his Calvin Klein grey chintz wool one-button notch lapel suit and dress shoes from the Spring 2013 collection, worn with a casually unbuttoned white shirt. Too bad it photographed as a bit too lacklustre for my liking.

Dwayne Wade: Dressed to the nines, the Miami Heat player rivaled teammate LeBron James with his own flashy ensemble. He sauntered out a Lanvin black peak label one-button tuxedo and matching pants, paired with a white dress shirt with black glass buttons, a black bow tie, silk scarf and pearl lapel pin. Oh, and the sneakers came out to play, too, as he went for bold red kicks.

Danica Patrick In Badgley Mischka - 2013 ESPY Awards

Danica Patrick attended the 2013 ESPY Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California yesterday evening, joining the likes of Maria Sharapova, Selena Gomez and Gabby Douglas.

The Auto racing driver wore a Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2013 black dress with an embellished bodice, leather panels and a suede skirt which she shortened from the look book to show off those toned pins.

Gold sandals and a black clutch completed her sassy look.

She always delivers at this event, even if this dress isn’t quite season appropriate.
