Debra Messing In Romona Keveza – 2017 Emmy Awards

Debra Messing shone at the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday night (September 17).

Clad in a plum Romona Keveza gown, the dress provided ample shine without a sparkle or a rhinestone.

The one-shoulder strap contrasted the actress’s flame-haired locks on the other side. Although, I would have preferred her mane swept back.

The black belt provided a textural contrast to the sheen of the dress, but I found the orange-toned accessories to be out of place.

Was the fabric choice a yay or a nay?

Sarah Hyland In Zac Posen – 2017 Emmy Awards

Sarah Hyland has become a staple guest at the Emmy Awards. and the ‘Modern Family’ star was on the red carpet for the 2017 edition of the awards on Sunday (September 17) in LA.

She debuted her darker locks at the Entertainment Weekly Pre-Emmy party, and she was fully celebrating her new ‘do again tonight.

The coral and red tones of this Zac Posen Resort 2018 leaf-print gown were a lovely complement to the maroon-tinged gloss of her hair, which has added a elegant vampiness to her look.

My only nitpick would be to slightly decrease the size of the cutout, as a marginally less gaping effect would have increase the sophistication factor.

Madeline Brewer In Berta – 2017 Emmy Awards

Madeline Brewer attended the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17) in Los Angeles.

The ‘Orange is the New Black’ and ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ actress wore a Berta gown with Djula diamond earrings and a Borgioni diamond ring.

Man, I just cannot get behind this dress! The severely dated puffed sleeves and the ice capades-looking cut-out on the bodice–it’s just off!

However, I do love the mismatched earrings and Madeline’s hair and makeup are gorgeous.

Let me get a shout out from those of you who are actually liking this dress! What am I missing?

Jane Fonda In Brandon Maxwell – 2017 Emmy Awards

I’m sure I won’t be the only one who found Jane Fonda to be nearly unrecognizable at the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17) in LA.

We generally sing the praises of the iconic actress for her ability to so seamlessly rock gracefully mature and appropriate looks that compromise nothing in the way of style.

But, that wasn’t exactly the case at the Emmys.

Opting for a hot-pink Brandon Maxwell Spring 2018 gown that showed off her streamlined figure, she walked on a far more flirtatious side, with the emerald Gismondi 1754 earrings and reverse necklace adding even more extravagance.

In addition to the Barbie pink hue, it was really the Barbie blonde bangs and ponytail that made the look uncharacteristically try-hard and youth-seeking for the traditionally sophisticated actress.

Jimmy Choo metallic-silver pumps and a Tyler Ellis clutch completed the surprising look.

What do you make of it?

Anna Faris In Marc Jacobs – 2017 Emmy Awards

Before taking the stage as a presenter at the 2017 Emmy Awards, Anna Faris was on the red carpet on Sunday (September 17) in LA.

She was radiant in this stunning Marc Jacobs magenta gown that was artfully strewn with the placement of sparkling embellishment.

It was a flattering, simple silhouette for the actress, which she complemented with her blonde waves, Sylva & Cie jewels, and a tonal magenta clutch.

The colour alone had me mesmerized.

Emmy Rossum In Zac Posen – 2017 Emmy Awards

Emmy Rossum struck a pose on the red carpet of the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17) in Los Angeles.

The ‘Shameless’ actress wore Zac Posen Fall 2017 gown with emerald Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

I love Emmy’s brand of drama: It really is about the whole look, not just the gown. She brings this lovely gown to live with her attitude, her pose, and those emeralds! I may have squealed in delight when I saw them against the shimmering black fabric.

Her moody makeup and modern take on old hollywood waves complete this total package look.

Claire Foy In Oscar de la Renta – 2017 Emmy Awards

Anyone getting gown fatigue at the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17) was certainly invigorated by Claire Foy’s appearance.

Donning a custom Oscar de la Renta Resort 2018 jumpsuit, ‘The Crown’ actress eschewed the expected dress for the one-piece ensemble.

The modern silhouette retained an essence of Old Hollywood because of the sweeping sash over one shoulder. The vintage mood was further enhanced by the English actress’s waves, red lipstick and Harry Winston jewels.

I’m sure there will be comparisons to Emma Stone’s trouser look at the 2015 Golden Globes, but Claire’s outfit stands on its own to me.

Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ pumps completed his look.
