Clemence Poesy In Michael Kors & Anne Berest In Chanel Couture – Deauville American Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Clemence Poesy In Michael Kors & Anne Berest In Chanel Couture - Deauville American Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Clémence Poésy and Anne Berest walked the red carpet together at the 40th annual Deauville American Film Festival opening ceremony in Deauville, France on Friday (September 5).

The twosome were certainly a sight to behold.

Clémence Poésy: The French actress completely surprised me by wearing a mannish Michael Kors Fall 2014 number, consisting of an oversized silhouette manifested in a dark long jacket, white blouse and micro-printed pants. The question that still remains in my mind was whether this was slouchy-chic, or just plain slouchy.

Anne Berest: She also ripped a look straight from the runway, except hers was a far more formal design, yet no less bold in nature from Clémence’s unorthodox outfit.. The highly decorative Chanel Fall 2014 Couture gown featured an abstractly printed black-and-white ball skirt contrasted by an intricately woven bodice and a hint of glitz via the doorknocker pendant detail.

It’s an unlikely pairing of styles, but they actually seem to coordinate on some level. What do you make of the duo?

Jessica Chastain In Oscar de la Renta – Deauville American Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Jessica Chastain In Oscar de la Renta - Deauville American Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Jessica Chastain looked ravishing on the red carpet of the opening ceremony of the 40th Annual Deauville American Film Festival in Deauville, France yesterday (September 5).

The star wore a striking fuchsia gown with intricate floral embroidery from the Oscar de la Renta Resort 2015 collection.

With the gown, she wore gold spiked Christian Louboutin heels.

A metallic gold smoldering eye, bright lips and a soft bun completed the look.

I honestly cannot say enough about how divine this look is from head-to-toe. The dress is a work of art and looks amazing against Jessica’s fair skin, and the shoes are enough to rock anyone’s world.

The hair and makeup are also completely stunning and on-point, and I’m willing to bet that people will be remembering this look of Jessica’s for a long time.

Bérénice Bejo In Elie Saab – Deauville American Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Bérénice Bejo In Elie Saab - Deauville American Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Bérénice Bejo attended the opening ceremony of the 40th Annual Deauville American Film Festival in Deauville, France yesterday (September 5) alongside her director husband Michel Hazanavicius.

The actress wore a chic, black leather Elie Saab sheath with grey and gold Christian Louboutin shoes and a Gucci clutch.

This is the very definition of a perfect LBD, as it fits Bérénice like a glove and is one of those dresses that would be suitable for many occasions.

While I love the shoes, I’m not entirely certain they were the best choice with this look, but they are a fun visual, so I’m not going to pick apart that aspect too much.

Loose waves, nude lips and flawless skin were the perfect approach to beauty for this look.

Jessica Chastain In 3.1 Phillip Lim – 2014 Deauville American Film Festival Tribute

Jessica Chastain In 31 Phillip Lim - 2014 Deauville American Film Festival Tribute

Jessica Chastain attended the 2014 Deauville American Film Festival Tribute, where she stood in front of her dedicated beach locker room on the Promenade des Planches in Deauville, France on Friday (September 5).

Perfectly coordinated with her personalized, engraved sign, the actress couldn’t have been more graciously attired in a cream-coloured 3.1 Phillip Lim dress to accept the honour.

The beauty of the frock was in its simplicity and in the way that it combined the spirit of sophistication, structure and charm with a front zipper detail, belted waistband and flared hem.

Nude Christian Louboutin heels elongated her leg line, while her flame-red locks were prettily swept up into a breezy ponytail to finish out the sporty-sweet look.

Astrid Berges-Frisbey In Chanel – Deauville Film Festival Premieres & Closing Ceremony

Astrid Berges-Frisbey In Chanel - Deauville Film Festival Premieres & Closing Ceremony

If you were checking in this weekend, you’ll know that both Venice and Deauville Film Festival came to a close.

Astrid Berges-Frisbey, one of the Chanel ambassadors, attended both the ‘Killing Season’ premiere and the ‘Snowpierce’ premiere which closed the Deauville Film Festival.

‘Killing Season’ premiere: On Friday, she kept it very casual and laidback wearing a Chanel Fall 2013 look featuring a black tweed skirt with a fine-knit sweater, with Chanel grey-and-black pumps completing her look. Even though I respect her decision not to go all out as it wasn’t her premiere, this effort falls well below par for my liking.

‘Snowpierce’ premiere: Which is why I am delighted she had a second chance to make an impression at the ‘Snowpierce’ premiere, where she donned an enchanting Chanel Pre-Fall 2013 off-white wool-lace gown, which is a perfect look for the transitional season. Usually her purposely messy tresses bother me, but they add a lot of character to the look on this occasion.

What is to be appreciated here is how each look has been stripped back and made more wearable from the runway version.
