Awards shows are always a women’s world, but at the 2013 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, hosted at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, the boys really kept up with the girls, sauntering out plenty of enticingly formal, albeit rather similar, exits.
Eddie Redmayne: The British actor thrilled us in a trendsetting tan suit just one day earlier at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards, and his Acne tuxedo was equally great—in a completely different way. Glossy satin lapels on the plush jacket plus a thin tie and white pocket square were perfection at its finest. Eddie continues to earn his place among our ‘Les Miserables’ Best Ensemble Cast of 2012.
Matthew McConaughey: The ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ actor put his strikingly thin silhouette into the slim lines of Dolce & Gabbana’s incredibly sleek tux. He looked altogether dapper, especially with his bow tie, although I think we’re all eager to see Matthew back to his buff ways.
Cory Monteith: The ‘Glee’ cutie took Marc Jacobs for a spin and succeeded in A-plus form with his traditional black suit and tie paired with a white button-down.

There were three black gowns on the red carpet yesterday evening at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, where the 2013 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards took place.
Jaime King’s Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2013 gown was my favourite of them all, proving that black doesn’t have to be boring.
Her black semi-sheer strappy gown with a plunging neckline and featuring a central slit was accented with a leather belt with gold-link accents.
Channelling Old Hollywood with a vampy twist, the actress styled her look with wavy golden tresses swept to one side and a bold red lip colour.
Christian Louboutin black ‘Pigalle’ pumps, David Webb jewels, and a Jill Milan clutch provided the finishing touches.

Helen Hunt was radiant on the red carpet yesterday evening when she attended the 2013 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
She wore a gown by British designer Philip Armstrong, who can count Coleen Rooney, Alesha Dixon, Tess Daly and Kelly Rowland as clients.
The streamlined red sleeveless gown with sexy lace insert details from the designer’s Atelier collection was styled with glamorous loose waves and natural makeup.
Gold Rene Caovilla sandals, Martin Katz Fine Jewelry and a Lauren Merkin ‘Lucca’ clutch completed her breathtaking look.
I love that the demure actress selected such a bold gown.

Emily Blunt positively smoldered down the red carpet last night for the 2013 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
She was a nominee for Best Actress in an Action Movie for ‘Looper,’ but her Miu Miu ensemble was what was really fighting fit at this awards show. The cream dream was fairly straightforward in the front, but the sparkling, crystal-studded neckline gave way to a stunning crisscross back. She was definitely better with her back turned.
The fresh ankle length of the frock showed off her strappy metallic Prada sandals. Emily also carried an embellished box clutch and lightly accessorized with Graziela jewels.
Lending more power to this look was her retro hair, which was slicked into pin curls, and an eye-catching coral red lip.
This was old Hollywood glamour—with a modern twist—at its finest.
