Best Dressed Award
Diane Kruger has been experimenting with shorter hemlines and edgier pieces, but last night she opted for ethereal elegance as she glided down the red carpet wearing an asymmetrical Donna Karan Spring 2010 gown.
Look as the way she’s working the hell out of this gown.
That backward S shape she’s making with her body is fully showing off the magnificent of this gown.
I knew she was only warming up at previous events.

Best Mini Award
Zoe Saldana has been on fire since the start of her “Star Trek” promo tour back in April last year, and that flame is still burning ever so brightly.
I was in a three-way split as to who to give the Best Dressed to – Diane, Zoe or Marion.
Diane got the vote, but Zoe was a very close second.
The “Avatar” actress wore a delightful Jason Wu Spring 2010 ivory mini draped foil dress with puffy sleeves, a bubble hem skirt and a black sash tied to the waist.
Her look was paired with Christian Louboutin white peep-toes with a black and yellow trim and animal print velvet bow which are oh so very cute.

Ding Ding Ding Jackpot Award
Dior + Marion Cotillard = Red Carpet Perfection.
This is the moment I have been waiting for since it was the ladies of the movie “Nine” started their promotional tour.
The stunning French actress wowed in a Christian Dior Spring 2010 two tone bustier gown, with gold embellishments fanning out over the skirt.
I love the pink clutch, but not so crazy about those necklaces.

Keeping It Simple Award
Abbie Cornish wore an Elie Saab Spring 2010 black sheath dress with structured shoulders paired with Bally criss cross heels.
I would’ve loved to have seen Abbie inject a bit of colour into this look via the clutch or shoes, but all in all I don’t hate this look
I’m however slightly disappointed that the subtle details of the dress are totally lost on the red carpet.

Bling Award
Emily Blunt loves to shine on the red carpet. We often we see her in heavily embellished looks.
On this occasion she wore a Georges Chakra Fall 2009 Couture sequined dress, with fish-scale embroidery detail around the hem of the skirt.
I think this dress would’ve worked better for Emily had it been strapless, as I’m not so crazy about sheer yokes.
I’m crazy about her Diego Dolcini strappy heels though.

Most Disappointing Award
As much as we love Julianne Moore, I just couldn’t fall in love with this red Lanvin Spring 2010 dress on her.
On the runway the dress is très magnifique, but the details fall flat off the runway therefore making lose interest in the dress.

Slowing Becoming A Red Carpet Favourite Award
Anna Kendrick walked the red carpet wearing an Elie Saab black knit gown.
Again you can barely make out the lace details on the skirt of the gown.
My only problem with this gown is the double straps, because it looks like she’s wearing a strappy vest top under her gown.

On The Fence Award
Carey Mulligan’s certainly makes this Marni black taffeta waterfall draped black gown work for her and her unique style.
The Marni accessories are the only thing stopping me from disliking this look.
It appears she loves the same designers as Anna Wintour – Prada, Thakoon and Marni.

Ravishing In Red Award
No matter what Heather Graham wears always she injects a LOT of sexy appeal into her look.
Her asymmetrical red dress may look a lot plain, but the gold clutch and sultry pose make the overall look more appealing.

Best Shoes Award
I love the black fringe corseted Alberta Ferretti dress Sandra Bullock wore this event, but I think it fails to flatter her.
Her black satin Casadei platform heels are to-die-for.

Precious Award
Gabourey Sidibe walked the red carpet wearing a black satin cocktail Tadashi Shoji dress with a nude and black embroidered cap-sleeve bodice.
She completed the look with black sandals and a black satin shawl.

Still Got IT Award
I have goosebumps on my goosebumps marveling at how A-Friggin-Mazing Susan Sarandon looked wearing a sexy Dolce & Gabbana LBD.
It’s a style we’ve seen numerous of times on the red carpet, but that takes nothing away from how stunning Susan looks.
After her break up with Tim Robbins something tells me this was a statement making dress.

Yet Another LBD Award
After Ashley Greene gave us our first red carpet look at the J.Mendel Pre-Fall 2010 collection this week, Claire Danes gave us a second look.
She presented alongside Zachary Quinto wearing a J.Mendel Pre-Fall 2010 black dress with a draped shoulder detail.
I like that she broke up the black by adding a bronze pair of peep-toe heels.

Finally No Black/Best Dressed/Best Couple Award
In my Best Of 2008 Awards, I was praying for colour in 2009 for Angelina Jolie.
Either god answered my prays, or Angelina reads my blog, because here we have Ange looking out-friggin-standing wearing a ice white Max Azria Spring 2009 one-sleeved gown.
She wore her gown with her hair pulled back, pearl earrings and a Herve Leger Spring 2009 clutch.
She is wearing no make-up would you believe. Beauty at its most simplistic.
Oh and Brad does not look to bad either. I am even getting used to that fuzz on his chin.

Most Edgy Award
Anne Hathaway is having an outstanding week.
Sticking to her non-safe approach to dressing, the actress walked the red carpet wearing another dress from the Gianfranco Ferré Spring 2009 collection.
The black side of the dress looks more fitted, whereas the ivory side has wavy fold to add more drama to the dress.
The look is completed with a gold buckled belt, as it was presented on the runway, and black peep-toes.

Best Embellishments Award
This is a slight predictable dress for Eva Longoria, but the turquoise Monique Lhuiller Spring 2009 cocktail dress looks divine on her.
The colour and embellished details on the halter-neck and waist really make her glow.
I am not so sure about the yellow clutch, but I do like the nude pumps and the new bangs.

Golden Girl Award
Evan Rachel Wood’s looks does not have any stench of Dita von Teese, so congratulations to her for exorcising that demon.
The actress sparkled in a gold Jasmine Di Milo dress and Stuart Weitzman shoes.

Best Strapless Gown Award
Gowns are her forte, so it’s no wonder Kate Beckinsale looks drop-dead gorgeous in this deep burgundy strapless J.Mendel Pre-Fall 2009 gown.

On The Fence Award
I am not sure if I like this or hate this.
I believe Katy Perry really pulls this 1940s Dolce & Gabbana boudoir look off, but I’m just not sure if I like it, as it feels like a costume.

Best Black Award
Diane Lane and Josh Brolin are my Best Couple Runners up. They always look so good together.
My ever first girl crush, Diane looks exquisite wearing a black sequined Monique Lhuillier dress, with a black satin bow tied to her waist.

Best Heels Award
Kristin Scott Thomas looked so sophisticated wearing a black YSL bustier dress with YSL satin sandals.
Her look was complete with a simple pearl pendant necklace, diamond earrings, and a black embellished clutch.

Best Dressed Curves
Virginia Madsen looks delightful wearing this blue velvet David Meister strapless gown.
The gathered detail on the bodice, works well as draws you in, and gives her a more defined silhouette.

Best Newcomer Award
I have not featured Freida Pinto on my blog before, but on her first appearance I have nothing but praise.
Her draped white Zac Posen Spring 2009 dress is complimented with her silver peep-toes.

Best Heels/Clutch Combo Award
Amy Adams wore a strapless vibrant blue Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2009 dress which had a structured piece on the hip.
Her clutch and silver Christian Louboutin slingbacks all compliment the silver brooch she added to the hip of her dress.

Just OK Award
Another cute dress for Dakota Fanning. This time it’s Marc Jacobs.

Worst Dressed/Is It Meant To Be Funny? Cause I Ain’t Laughing Award
Funny woman Sarah Silverman tried to inject a bit of humour to the red carpet, and ended up being the joke.
Converse on the red carpet? Really? Was your dress not tragic enough on its own?

Worst Herve Leger Award
Ooooh Heidi Montag will be so jealous that Amanda Bynes wore this hot pink Herve Leger Spring 2009 dress before her.
OK she looks great it in, but yawn. I’m so over this type of bandage dress. The newer styles I can handle, but this, NO.

Worst Strapless/I Tried But I Couldn’t Love It Award
After Marisa Tomei’s red Donna Karan dress from the People’s Choice Awards, I was excepting to fall in love again.
Unfortunately I could not fall in with with her black strapless Giambattista Valli Fall 2006 dress.
On the runway, the dress looks fab, but Marisa just couldn’t pull it off imo. The ruffle dominates her.

Worst Hair/Lipstick Award
Elizabeth Banks usually always looks amazing on the red carpet. Her Reem Acra dress is gorgeous, and the shoes compliment it well, but she ruins the look with a birds nest hair do, and shocking pink lips.

Best Forever21/New Look Award
Now there is nothing wrong with Forever21, nor New Look. I have shopped at both stores.
The clothes are cheap and disposable, and this is exactly how Kristen Bell makes this Stella McCartney Spring 2009 dress look.
She completed her look with a Fendi Mini Borderline satin clutch.

No Wow Factor Award
Penelope Cruz is an A list actress.
Like Theron, Diaz, and Kruger, they should be wowing us every time they step their Jimmy Choo’s on the red carpet. They have Galliano, Lagerfeld and Valli on their speed dials, so they never have excuses.
I am not wow’ed. Not even close. I think it is mixture of feeling like I have seen this look on her before, and that she doesn’t even look enthused to be there, kills my buzz also.
This is a B list actress dress at best.

Katie Holmes is absolutely divine wearing this nude sequined goddess Lanvin Spring 2008 one shouldered dress, which is gathered at the hem.
I can not gush about this enough. Pure perfection from her head to her heels.
Thank god Tom was not at this event, as he would no doubt be clinging onto her and ruining our view of this perfect vision.
Gush, gush and gushing some more.

It’s a New Year MIRACLE. Amanda Bynes has finally changed her hairstyle. Back in July last year, I noticed that she always sported the same do. I am so thankful for this change, as it has been a long time coming.
Even this lavender Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2008 dress is a departure from her norm of cute babydoll dresses. Hopefully she will keep it up. *prays*

Queen Latifah is as glamourous as ever wearing this crisp white suit with a silver metallic top. I wish she had not scraped her hair back, other than that – Flawless.

Kyra Sedgwick stood out in this fire engine red and black ombre Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2008 dress.
The dress is perfect and I am glad she did not over accessorize, as it would have been disastrous.

This is much better for Brittany Snow. The dress she wore to the Palm Spring International Film Festival did her no justice. This Badgley Mischka dress on the other hand is more stylish, a great colour and allows her to stand out.
I love her choice of gold earrings, clutch and shoes.

Another disaster for Nikki Blonsky. What is that horrible mesh thing on her arms?
During the Hairspray premieres last year, she was so well put together. The few red carpet dresses she has worn this year,, I have not been impressed with.

Marcia Gay Harden looks very sophisticated in this dress. I love the high waist and her sexy curly do.

Ellen Page is so cute, but she continues to bore me on the red carpet, as she always plays it safe in blacks and greys. I hope she lightens up in the future.

I am so over these two and their refusal to smile or wear a colour other than black or grey.
