Julianne Moore In Tom Ford – CFDA/Vogue 2013 Fashion Fund Finalists

Julianne Moore In Tom Ford - CFDA And Vogue 2013 Fashion Fund Finalists

Julianne Moore attended the CFDA and Vogue 2013 Fashion Fund Finalists celebration held at Spring Studios in New York City yesterday evening.

On paper perhaps the Moore/Ford relationship shouldn’t work, but once again she knocked it out of the fashion ballpark with this Tom Ford Spring 2014 bedazzled red embellished number with a high neckline, long sleeves and black trims.

Tom always manages to bring Julianne out of her comfort zone and push her fashion boundaries.

I would never have considered this frock for the red-haired actress, but she surprised me by carrying the look off with ease, with the bondage shoes adding yet more sexy appeal.

Lily Collins In Altuzarra – Vogue CFDA Fashion Fund Event & Dinner

Lily Collins In Altuzarra - Vogue CFDA Fashion Fund Event & Dinner

Like Lena Dunham, Lily Collins wore the same designer while attended both the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund event and dinner party.

Day look: For her day look, Lily donned an Altuzarra Spring 2014 ‘Chika’ boro printed blouse and a ‘Pagoda’ white silk-and-cupro draped skirt which she styled with a snake skin harlequin clutch and glossy lips. I’m dying to know which shoes she wore with this look.

Evening look: For her dinner party look, things turned a shade darker with the actress opting for smoky eyes wearing an Altuzarra ‘Odeon’ black blazer with ruffle details on the shoulders from the Resort 2014 collection, styled with their ‘Jodie’ crepe skirt with sheer panel and zipper accent from the Fall 2013 collection. Carrying the same clutch from earlier in the day, she completed her look with black satin sliced mules from Altuzarra’s Spring 2014.

That’s a lot of brand love.

Which look do you prefer?

Even without seeing the shoe, the first one wins for me. It’s more youthful plus I am not a fan of the length of the skirt on the second look.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead In Roland Mouret – CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event

Mary Elizabeth Winstead In Roland Mouret - CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Event

As you know Mary Elizabeth Winstead is one of my faves, as she always looks so pretty and polished.

The 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund event, presented by theCorner.com, at the Chateau Marmont in California on Wednesday afternoon, was just another day in which she looked charming and delightful wearing a Roland Mouret ice-print long-sleeve frock from the designers Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

Stepping out of her comfort-zone somewhat, she opted for edgy Rebecca Minkoff accessories including a ‘Coco’ clutch, which is the red studded version of the same clutch carried by Camilla Belle, and grey peep-toe, lace-up booties.

Her Pre-Fall look was met with a rich burgundy lip colour and wavy tresses.

Lena Dunham In Reed Krakoff – Vogue CFDA Fashion Fund Event & Dinner

Lena Dunham In Reed Krakoff - Vogue CFDA Fashion Fund Dinner

As host of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund event, Lena Dunham turned to her favourite designer Reed Krakoff, who provided both her day and evening looks.

Day look: Her first look was a caramel leather short-sleeved Reed Krakoff Resort 2014 dress with a slit neckline, styled with gold bangles. I wish we could see the full length of this look because this is one of her best looks to date. I love the lacquered hair and makeup, especially the kohl-rimmed eyes and that salmon lip colour.

Evening look: After dark the actress was glowing wearing a neon-lime-green Reed Krakoff Resort 2014 strapless dress which also featured a loose-fitted skirt. I love the metallic accessories including Jimmy Choo ‘Elaine’ sandals, which perfected the look. Keeping the strong eye makeup from the day event, her hair was pulled back on this occasion.

I’m shocked to say it, but I really like both looks, however, she needed to hoick up the second look and spanx would’ve greatly improved the overall effect of both.

Baby steps.

Camilla Belle In Ralph Lauren – CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event

Camilla Bella in Ralph Lauren - CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Event

Camilla Belle was also among the pretty, bright young things at the 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund event, presented by theCorner.com, at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday afternoon.

The actress certainly captured attention in her bold, lime-green Ralph Lauren skater frock that was quite delightful.

She paired the dress with a contrasting aqua Rebecca Minkoff ‘Coco’ clutch and several rows of bangles.

Her choppy bob added a youthful, casual vibe. Not so for those uninspiring, plain pumps. I cannot help but wonder if different shoes and a more done ‘do would have further polished the look.

Do you like her statement or is the styling a letdown?

Rachel Bilson In Isabel Marant – CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event

Rachel Bilson in Isabel Marant - CFDA Event

Rachel Bilson also joined the ‘it list’ at the 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund event, presented by theCorner.com, at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday afternoon.

The actress wore a loose, mixed-floral print frock by Isabel Marant with a slightly ruffled, three-quarter sleeve detail and floaty, layered hemline.

Her look had romance and edge, thanks to her Brian Atwood ‘Temptation’ sandals in a bright shade of chartreuse that magnified the more muted hues of her dress, although I still didn’t find this look to be among the more memorable entrances at the event.

She kept the rest of her styling in the minimal category with a pale pink lippie to accent her barely-there makeup and a simply straight ‘do.
