Priyanka Chopra In Michael Kors Collection – 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards

Fresh from her Berlin ‘Baywatch’ promo tour, Priyanka Chopra was back on the red carpet for the 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 5).

The actress looked sensational in her custom-made Michael Kors Collection dress. The sensuous ensemble worked perfectly with the black python Michael Kors ‘Smith’ sandals and merlot lipstick.

A black belt cinched the waist to create the most enviable silhouette. The length of the dress, plunging neckline, and sequin embellishments all added some youth and fun to what could have been a severe look.

Cohesive from head to toe, this look was a masterclass in how to make an ensemble feminine and sexy, without being vampy.

Chloe Sevigny In Proenza Schouler – 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards

Chloe Sevigny kept it monochrome at the 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 5) in New York City.

Her custom black and white lacquered dress by Proenza Schouler was in-keeping with the ‘American Horror Story’ actress’s edgy modern style.

The Proenza Schouler cuff was the perfect accompaniment for the lace effect dress and cropped bib-style top.

I love the ensembles futuristic touches, like the silver clutch. These details were grounded by the choice of simple strappy sandal and high bun.

Black and white, futuristic and classic, the look was a harmonious balance and blend of styles and colours.

Brooke Shields In Sachin & Babi – 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards

Brooke Shields attended the 2017 CDFA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 5) in an on-trend floral gown by Sachin & Babi.

Whilst the split front reveals an interesting black under-dress, there appear to be swathes of fabric. Add to that the outdated and unnecessary train and the ensemble appears to overwhelm the actress.

It was a well-judged decision to keep accessories to a minimum, as they would have fought for attention with the busy print.

This felt forgettable and a touch forced.

Pom Klementieff In Altuzarra – 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards

Pom Klementieff showed off her sleek and sophisticated aesthetic at the 2017 CDFA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 5) in New York City.

The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ actress has divulged that she loves a good blazer, and it’s easy to see why. The Altuzarra Fall 2017 suit was about as beautiful as they come. Luxurious black velvet trousers looked utterly irresistible with the embroidered blazer.

Satin bows and gold embroidered bouquets added elegant feminine touches. Louboutin pumps looked impossibly chic and timeless, the perfect classic shoe for this look.

Baroque style earrings from Irene Neuwirth completed the exquisite ensemble. She may have played a Marvel Superhero, but Pom is quickly making a name for herself as a fashionista in the making.

Lupita Nyong’o In Jason Wu – 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards

Lupita Nyong’o stood out for all the right reasons at the 2017 CDFA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 5) in New York City.

The ‘Black Panther’ actress wore a pale gold custom Jason Wu Fall 2017 dress, which looked breath-taking against her skin tone. The asymmetric neckline added a point of interest to the otherwise simple gown.

Channelling Grecian goddess vibes, the actress complemented her elegant look with a regal up-do. The Paul Andrew’s shoes were another masterstroke, adding subtle intrigue without screaming for attention.

This look was positively luminescent. It didn’t fight for attention amongst the other embellished CDFA looks, but it was quietly captivating.

Ara Vartanian jewels completed her look.

Nicole Kidman In Oscar de la Renta – 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards

With Nicole Kidman’s masterful turn at Cannes Film Festival is still fresh on everyone’s mind, she continued her fashion crusade at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City on Monday (June 5).

The actress’ Cannes looks were romantic and whimsical, but her CDFA Fashion Awards style showed us a return to old-school Hollywood glamour.

It was nice to see fashion’s first lady refine her look, but her Oscar de la Renta Fall 2017 gown was let down by poor styling choices.

I would’ve loved Nicole to have taken note from the catwalk styling. A slicked back hairstyle and dramatic drop earrings would have injected some much-needed drama.

Lacklustre hair and uninspired Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Dionne’ sandals did little to bring cohesion to what seemed like a confused ensemble. I can’t wait to see a return to Nicole’s daring Cannes style.
