Hayley Atwell In Holly Fulton – British Fashion Awards 2013

Hayley Atwell In Holly Fulton - British Fashion Awards 2013

Hayley Atwell managed to redeem herself on the red carpet on Monday for the 2013 British Fashion Awards held at the London Coliseum in England, following the Evening Standard Theatre Awards.

The looks couldn’t be more different.

On this occasion she selected an uber-girlie Holly Fulton Spring 2014 long-sleeved gown featuring a multi-coloured floral embroidered top and full floral-print skirt with a single pleat revealing a contrasting print.

While some might think this is too summery for the occasion, I found the look to be very refreshing as it livened up the red carpet, plus it was lighter than air so moved so beautifully.

A quiffed ponytail, glossy pink lip and stingray Anya Hindmarch ‘Imperial’ clutch completed her look.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley In Antonio Berardi – British Fashion Awards 2013

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley In Antonio Berardi - British Fashion Awards 2013

The red carpet had nothing on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at the 2013 British Fashion Awards, held Monday evening at the London Coliseum in England.

The model captivated in an Antonio Berardi Spring 2014 slimly tailored suit that, despite its mannish overtones, couldn’t have been more red-hot.

Her plunging, fire-engine-crimson blazer was matched to tri-tone red, nude and black pants. A quick glance could have even translated the bottom half as over-the-knee boots.

Instead, black pumps served as the soles to this look, while ear cuffs and a double-strand Anita Ko necklace contributed a hint of edgy sparkle.

Completing this strong, sultry statement was Rosie’s impossibly crimson pout, along with glamorously swept-back locks.

Kate Moss In Alexander McQueen – British Fashion Awards 2013

Kate Moss In Marc Jacobs - British Fashion Awards 2013

Kate Moss brought her brand of rock chic glamour to the red carpet for the 2013 British Fashion Awards, held on Monday at the London Coliseum in England.

The model was the recipient of the ‘Special Recognition’ award, honouring her 25 years at the top of the fashion world as a model, muse and icon.

Before presenting Kate Moss with her award, Marc Jacobs said, “Bold, dynamic and fearless – while England may have two Kates, in my heart there is only one.”

Donning a perforated Alexander McQueen Spring 2014 leather dress with a layered pleated skirt, she was one of the few to wear a coat on the red carpet, however, being the pro that she’s is, the model ensured that the dress was effortlessly showcased at all times.

A red pout, studded clutch and Louboutin ‘So Kate’ (of course) pumps and signature slightly tousled tresses completed her look.

Rita Ora In Vivienne Westwood – British Fashion Awards 2013

Rita Ora In Vivienne Westwood - British Fashion Awards 2013

Rita Ora played quite the va-va-voom vixen at the 2013 British Fashion Awards, held on Monday at the London Coliseum in England.

British designer Vivienne Westwood was responsible for Rita’s fierce transformation, as the songstress struck a smoldering pose in a glittery gunmetal, strapless corset gown with a slight fishtail train from the designer’s Gold Label Capsule collection.

As if there was not enough sparkle on this allover sequin affair, she upped the shine quotient even more with embellished black Christian Louboutin ‘Artifice’ pumps, a daringly spikey clutch and a number of Cartier pieces from the High Jewellery Panthère collection, including a cocktail ring, bracelet and necklace.

It’s hard to imagine anything outdoing the dazzle of the dress and its accouterments, but Rita’s platinum blonde, retro waves nearly did. Of course, her signature red lip was painted on in full force.

With all that glint, not to mention the bright, white locks and a good dose of cleavage, this OTT look boasted a certain brand of visual overload that I ultimately couldn’t get behind. What about you?

Gwyneth Paltrow In Prada – British Fashion Awards 2013

Gwyneth Paltrow made an appearance at Monday evening’s 2013 British Fashion Awards, held at the London Coliseum in England where she presented Miuccia Prada with the event’s inaugural International Designer of the Year award.

Whereas some stars swept through in varying degrees of dazzle, Gwynnie dialed back the glam with a straightforward Prada ensemble. The body-con, pink-and-maoon colour-block top, with a pretty sweetheart neckline, was paired with a black, pleated schoolgirl skirt.

Black Prada micro-pailettes sandals, Delfina Delettrez rings and white diamond and morganite earrings by Boucheron topped off the simplified, sleek look.

A deep side part and slight wave were a small twist on her standard ’do, while her makeup stayed in the barely-there category.

Sienna Miller In Burberry – British Fashion Awards 2013

Sienna Miller In Burberry - British Fashion Awards 2013

Sienna Miller brought a welcome shot of jewel-toned colour to the 2013 British Fashion Awards, held on Monday at the London Coliseum in England.

Sadly, the vibrant emerald hue of her Burberry Prorsum side-slit gown was about the only component working in her favour.

Not only were the flashy tribal Dominic Jones ‘Kamba’ necklace and silver sandals a harsh counterpoint, they made her bronze clutch appear all the more out of place.

But my biggest issues with her entrance were the visible wrinkles of a rumpled dress and the ill-fitting bodice that did her no justice, not to mention her pink-stained, messy-curly locks.

I just wanted to lend her a brush.
