Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Most Refreshing Award
Thandie Newton was of course at the 2010 British Fashion Awards in London this evening.

She opted for Peter Pilotto Spring 2011 dress.

The colourful textured printed dress with a high neckline and keyhole detail is quite a refreshing look for Thandie who’s been wearing a lot of minimalist Calvin Klein looks lately.

I love the way this dress sits high on her waist. Had she pulled it down any further it may have lost is shape.

Thandie never lets me down in the footwear department. On this occasion she wore purple suede Nicholas Kirkwood cut-out sandals.

Best Tribute Award
At the 2010 British Fashion Awards in London tonight Naomi Campbell was honoured for her influence and contribution to the fashion industry over the past 25 years.

The British Fashion Council decided to dedicate a posthumous ‘Outstanding Achievement in Fashion Design’ award to Alexander McQueen, so it was fitting that the supermodel choose to wear a custom made gown by the designer.

She arrived wearing a Dennis Basso shrug, but inside the venue she removed it to reveal the stunning embellished details on her strapless velvet gown with a sheer skirt.

No one does drama like Naomi.

Most Disappointing Award
I love Yasmin Le Bon and I love Christopher Kane, but it pains me to admit this recently collaboration isn’t really setting my world on fire.

At the 2010 British Fashion Awards in London tonight, Yasmin wore her second Christopher Kane Spring 2011 look within 2 weeks and my issue with the first remains the same for this look – it makes her appear boxy.

Yasmin is a supermodel and we all how time standstill for these rare beautiful creatures, so she should be able to wear anything and make me go weak at the knees.

Sadly yet again I’m wishing she’d picked something else in the collection that would have given her a more shape and a defined waist.

Nude suede pumps and a gold clutch completed her look.

Best Dressed Award
The first thing I said to when I saw Daisy Lowe at the 2010 British Fashion Awards was “Wow.”

Some people have to put in a lot of effort to make a gown this detailed and haunting looks so beautiful.

Daisy Lowe does with ease.

She has that gothic mystic to make this Elie Saab Fall 2010 lace gown so incredibly beautiful. I love how this dress gives her a tiny waist. Smaller than the models would you believe?

We’ve been totally spoilt by 3 gorgeous Elie Saab looks today.

This is why I LOVE the man, my god and creator of all things beautiful.

J’Adore.

Most Daring Award
Emma Roberts has been wearing a lot of Topshop lately, but she opted for a high-end designer when she arrived on the red carpet at the 2010 British Fashion Awards in London this evening.

Surprisingly she opted for a dress from the Julien Macdonald Spring 2011 lingerie inspired collection, after wearing maxi dresses for her last few outings.

The dress is super short I guess the young actress wanted to feel comfortable by adding black tights to her look.

I would’ve love this look even more had they modified the dress by making it less revealing under the bust.

Nicholas Kirkwood heels completed her look.
