FKA Twigs In Versace – The Fashion Awards 2017

FKA Twigs made quite the entrance at The Fashion Awards on Monday (December 4) in London, joining Laura Carmichael and Rita Ora.

I’m sure there will be many comparisons between her ensemble and Donatella Versace’s as the ‘M3LL155X’ singer donned a Versace Spring 2018 outfit.

I love how she wore pieces from the runway but made them look totally different.

The boldly patterned skirt had a striking edginess from the jacket worn off her shoulders.

This could have looked messy, but she knew exactly how to pose to make the pieces work.

Charlie Heaton and Natalia Dyer In Coach – The Fashion Awards 2017

Charlie Heaton and Natalia Dyer made a coordinated statement at The Fashion Awards on Monday (December 4) in London, England.

The ‘Stranger Things’ stars were both clad in Coach. The actor cut a stylish figure in a Spring 2018 ensemble with a mustard bomber punctuating a black top and slim trousers.

I enjoyed the eclectic, vintage-inspired mix on the runway, but appreciated the way Charlie made the jacket his own.

Natalia also put her twist on her maroon Resort 2018 dress. She brought an elegance to the style, favoring delicate sandals and minimal accessories.

I look forward to seeing more sartorial statements from these two.

Donatella Versace In Versace – The Fashion Awards 2017

Donatella Versace was at The Fashion Awards on Monday (December 4) in London where she picked up the Style Icon award.

The designer was certainly dressed for the part in a striking Versace gown, of course.

Her MO is normally a sleek, curve-enhancing silhouette so I was pleased to see her in this dramatic gown with voluminous skirt.

The style still had the brand’s signature sexiness with the gold and animal print.

She completed the head-turning maxi with chunky black boots and a choppy bob which was a fun departure from her signature long locks.

Laura Carmichael In Christopher Kane – The Fashion Awards 2017

Laura Carmichael struck a pose at The Fashion Awards on Monday (December 4) in London, joining Pink and Selena Gomez.

I was surprised when I saw the former ‘Downton Abbey’ star clad in a directional Christopher Kane Spring 2018 dress.

The actress often favors classic, feminine styles with timeless silhouettes so I applaud her for trying something new.

Her black version presented a more formal feel and I can hear many cheers for her lining the dress. The neutral underlayer allowed the exquisite lace detailing to not be lost.

The crisscross heels played up the edginess of the look, but I would have preferred a clutch over the micro bag.

Which version of the dress do you prefer?

Pink In Stella McCartney – The Fashion Awards 2017

Pink was among the style set at The Fashion Awards on Monday (December 4) in London.

After donning a frothy tiered gown at the 2017 American Music Awards, the singer was back in her edgy-with-a-feminine-twist element.

Those who were unconvinced about her voluminous silhouette will hopefully support this Stella McCartney Resort 2018 ensemble.

She lit up the red carpet with a black column dress decorated with glistening landscape embellishment.

I’m sure she could have pulled off the original blue version or the black without the jacket, but I do love how the contrasting bomber draped over her shoulders created a distinct look.
