Lucy Hale In Alex Perry - 2014 Billboard Music Awards

Lucy Hale was also at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, hosted on Sunday (May 18) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

One of the presenters of the night, the starlet embraced the colour-blocking trend in a Alex Perry dress.

The contrasting bold navy, yellow and pink shades proved compatible here, with the lace fabrication providing a feminine flair.

Focusing on the blue hue of her dress, she accessorized with ankle-strap sandals and a Charlotte Olympia clutch, while a watermelon lip picked up on the pink.

Side-swept waves and a mix of jewels completed her pretty outing.

Cher Lloyd In Mikael D - 2014 Billboard Music Awards

Cher Lloyd attended the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, hosted on Sunday evening (May 18) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The British musician wore a Mikael D purple, cap-sleeved cocktail dress featuring black bodycon detailing and no lack of extreme beading.

She completed the hyper embellished look with metallic, peep-toe heels, a pretty fuchsia lip and two-tone hair coaxed into a high top knot.

While I appreciate her embrace of colour, the overall effect translated as a bit overwrought and costume-y.

Chrissy Teigen In Fyodor Golan - 2014 Billboard Music Awards

Chrissy Teigen made a real statement on the red carpet of the 2014 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas tonight (May 18).

The model wore an intricate design by Fyodor Golan with a JustFab box clutch, Zanotti peep-toed sandals and Lorraine Schwartz cocktail rings.

When I first saw Chrissy and her husband John Legend hit the red carpet, my first thought was, ‘Who is with John Legend?’ Chrissy is usually a fan of big hair, but I’m loving this sleek, banged (likely clip-on) look she’s trying out.

Both the design and print of the dress are eye-catching and completely unique, and Chrissy pulls it off beautifully.

This whole look is unexpected, and I love it.

Do you agree?

You may remember that Laura Whitmore wore this same dress to the MTV EMAs last year.

Jennifer Lopez In Donna Karan - 2014 Billboard Music Awards

Jennifer Lopez swept onto the scene at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, hosted at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada tonight (May 18), where she opened the show with an energetic performance alongside Pitbull.

While her sheer cape gown, hailing from the Donna Karan Fall 2014 collection, may have matched the colour of the red carpet, she was in no danger of blending into the background.

We’ve somewhat grown accustomed to seeing the entertainer and ‘American Idol’ judge in all measures of micro dresses.

However, despite its length, this negligee-like design was still very much a standard J. Lo fashion move, what with its deep plunge neckline, bodysuit and slit-to-there side panels.

Her red Jimmy Choo ‘Maury’ sandals, Marina B jewels and metallic accessories were presentable, but it was her thick, Valley of the Dolls hair that I just cannot comprehend.

Sarah Hyland In Emilio Pucci - 2014 Billboard Music Awards

While the Cannes Film Festival rages on, Sarah Hyland hit the red carpet for another big night: the 2014 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday (May 18).

As the event would demand, the young ‘Modern Family’ actress took an edgier approach to her girly style by donning an Emilio Pucci blue and metallic number.

The matching cropped jacked and skirt had all the glitz we’d expect from the designer and was only further emboldened with statement gold zipper detailing.

The shine factor continued to her reflective Oscar Tiye sandals, Tyler Alexandra gold-edged box clutch, Lorraine Schwartz earrings and XIV karat rings.

Not content to let her glittery outfit take all the credit, she also flaunted metal-tinged makeup and a punk-star-worthy, highlighted ’do, which nearly mimicked some of the half-shaven looks seen of late.
