2015 BET Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 BET Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the a few more of the attendees from Sundays (June 28) 2015 BET Awards.

Janelle Monae: If it’s got a cape on it, Janelle will wear it. This SAFiYAA cape look is just one of many the singer has donned recently.

La La Anthony: The TV host was one of the few who nailed it at this event. While her Peter Pilotto colourful dress was a shorter re-run from Cindy Crawford’s look from last week, at least this look was season appropriate complete with yellow Giuseppe Zanotti sandals which can’t be missed.

Kelly Rowland: I mean? What the hell is this? Was Kelly trying to audition for ‘Black Swan 2’? This Lever Couture was tragic on so many levels. Too many to count.

Rihanna In Giorgio Armani – 2015 BET Awards

Rihanna In Giorgio Armani - 2015 BET Awards

Rihanna attended the 2015 BET Awards at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (June 28) in Los Angeles, California, where she introduced the video to her next single, ‘B*tch Better Have My Money’.

Considering that was her only function on the night, the cameras seemed to be pretty much fixated upon her.

That could be due to the fact that Miss Fenty wore a gold tuxedo suit sans blouse.

If you were expecting this tailored two-piece to be Dior, she actually wore Giorgio Armani.

Sadly, this look didn’t work. The fit was off and the style so very drab for Rihanna I have to say.

Ciara In Wes Gordon – 2015 BET Awards

Ciara attended the 2015 BET Awards at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (June 28) in Los Angeles, California.

For the latter part of the year Ciara wasn’t quite firing on all cylinders, but in recent times we have seen her return to good form.

With that said, I really wanted to applaud this gilded gold Wes Gordon Fall 2015 dress, but I think due to the heaviness of the beadwork the dress loses shape and results in a quite unflattering fit.

Her sweaty cleavage isn’t helping redeem matters.

Nicki Minaj In Givenchy – 2015 BET Awards

Nicki Minaj In Givenchy - 2015 BET Awards

Nicki Minaj attended the 2015 BET Awards at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (June 28) in Los Angeles, California, where she picked up her 6th Best Female Hip-Hop Artist honour.

The rapper showcased her curvy figure wearing a Givenchy intricate lace design with an oversized zipper which allowed her to seductively show off a hint of skin.

While I like how the scalloped trims and lace fabric added a touch of delicacy to her look, I think Nicki would’ve fared much better in the ivory version of this frock.

Florence Welch and Rooney Mara have both worn Couture versions of this gown.

Gabrielle Union In Halston Heritage – 2015 BET Awards

Gabrielle Union In Halston Heritage - 2015 BET Awards

Gabrielle Union attended the 2015 BET Awards at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (June 28) in Los Angeles, California.

The ‘Being Mary Jane’ star wore a Halston Heritage Fall 2015 full sequin gown which was glamorous enough for the event, but when you factor in the dark lip, the vampy eye makeup and silver David Webb cuffs, everything feels so heavy and laboured.

Like Zendaya, I was expecting way better from Gabrielle; something along the lines of her stunning Gauri & Nainika gown from the 2015 NAACP Image Awards.

Zendaya Coleman In Nicolas Jebran – 2015 BET Awards

Zendaya Colemen In Nicolas Jebran - 2015 BET Awards

Zendaya Coleman attended the 2015 BET Awards at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (June 28) in Los Angeles, California.

While twitter was going crazy discussing her latest hairstyle, I was more disappointed by her Nicolas Jebran shirt (I’m deliberately leaving off the word dress).

Sparkle as it may, I kinda expected something more memorable and more elaborate from her.

Matching Roberto Cavalli platforms capped off this so-so look.
