13.11.17 Screening

Weekend Red Carpet Roundup

It was a fashion-filled weekend with many stylish stars stepping out on the red carpet.

Kate Mara: I must say, I’ve enjoyed the actress’s recent tailored looks. She continued her fashion reign in Christian Siriano at the 2017 Humane Society Of The United States To The Rescue! event on Friday (November 10). The rich green fabric of the slim suit was contrasted beautifully with the Jimmy Choo ‘Kerry’ sandals and pink Tyler Ellis bag.

Alison Brie: I almost did not recognize the actress at the ‘The Disaster Artist’ AFI Fest screening on Sunday (November 12). Her Marc Jacobs dress combined with the soft curls had a charming retro feel. It had a Betty Boop quality to it with the sweet bow detail and frill on the bodice contrasting the black belt and platform ankle-strap pumps.

Zoe Saldana: There were a myriad of looks at the Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday (November 11). The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ actress looked regal in this black gown with suiting elements. The large notched collar framed her face. But, it was the undone skirt which opened to reveal her delicate sandals that made it.

2017 Baby2Baby Gala Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more celebrities at the 2017 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday (November 11) in LA, where Gwyneth Paltrow was honoured.

Jessica Alba: Even though she was wearing black, the actress was as glowing as ever. She dressed her burgeoning baby bump in a lace, form-fitted look from the Brock Collection Spring 2018 collection that brought plenty of sultry glamour to the event. Giuseppe Zanotti shoes completed the look.

Jennifer Garner: With an angelic approach, Jennifer wore a white Roland Mouret ‘Cheverley’ gown, which featured high-impact cape sleeves as a dramatic touchpoint.

Alessandra Ambrosio: I think we can all agree that this floral Ermanno Scervino Spring 2018 gown was a subtler take on the model’s favoured overtly sexy style. She accessorised the sweetly feminine look with Narcisa Pheres earrings and a Pasquale Bruni necklace along with the Lee Savage ‘The Space’ clutch.

Rachel Bilson In Brock Collection – 2017 Baby2Baby Gala

We have seen a number of diversely dramatic looks for the 2017 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday (November 11) in LA, and Rachel Bilson added another ensemble to that assorted mix.

With a new take on modern romance, this Brock Collection Spring 2018 corset dress featured an antique-inspired floral tapestry pattern interpreted in a completely fresh way.

But, the raw, frayed edges kept it surprisingly relevant, with the thin black belt contributing to that form.

I like how her long waves rounded out the look with a traditionally pretty finish.

Kristen Bell In Vika Gazinskaya – 2017 Baby2Baby Gala

Kristen Bell joined Jessica Biel and Gwyneth Paltrow for the 2017 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday (November 11) in LA.

It’s amazing what a change of colour can do for a dress, as seen in this Vika Gazinskaya Spring 2018 design that went from an edgy-gothic sensibility in the lookbook to directional femininity on Kristen.

I love this softer expression of sculptural form with the baby-blue hue that was radiant on her complexion, especially with her wispy updo and watermelon lip.

Selma Blair In Schiaparelli Fall 2017 Couture – 2017 Baby2Baby Gala

Selma Blair joined Jessica Biel and Gwyneth Paltrow for the 2017 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday (November 11) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a Schiaparelli Fall 2017 Couture look which may divide opinions.

While I prefer the more detailed runway look, my belief is that Selma’s paired back look was the perfect choice for her as she’s never been one for too much detail.

My feeling is the runway look would’ve been too overwhelming.

Gwyneth Paltrow In Tom Ford – 2017 Baby2Baby Gala

Gwyneth Paltrow attended the 2017 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday (November 11) in Los Angeles, California alongside Jessica Biel.

I’m sure it hasn’t escaped your notice that Gwynie is wearing her second black suited look in a row; with this expertly tailored look courtesy of Tom Ford.

I love how this one perfectly presents an androgynous charm with the designer’s signature oversized lapels, but this look really comes into its own when the jacket is slung over her shoulders to reveal a fitted jumpsuit.

Rounding out a trio of Tom Ford pieces with sparkling shoes, she also added gorgeous sapphire Irene Neuwirth earrings to her look.
