Pace Wu In Valentino - Modern Media and Trends Media Group 20th Anniversary

Pace Wu was looking effortless and very pretty (so what’s new?) while attending the Modern Media and Trends Media Group 20th Anniversary in Sanya, China on Monday.

The actress/model wore a Valentino Spring 2013 gown – a designer I hope to see plenty of during Cannes Film Festival.

Her wish-flower printed dress with a camisole-style bodice, v-neck, A-line waist and a scalloped hemline was styled with just a white clutch.

Such a soft, beautiful creation deserved to be centre of attention.

A light-red glossy lip colour and low ponytail completed her look.

Rinko Kikuchi In Kenzo - Opening Ceremony Omotesando Flagship Store Opening

Rinko Kikuchi recently attended the Opening Ceremony Omotesando flagship store opening in Tokyo, Japan.

The usually chic actress slightly overcooked her look on this occasion.

I love the Kenzo Spring 2013 collection as much as Jessica Alba, Beyonce Knowles and Brandy Norwood, but there is just too much going on here for my liking.

Pairing the yellow clouded-print jacket and skirt would’ve sufficed; however, she also added a Kenzo cloud-print scarf, Kenzo lizard-embossed bag and Kenzo animal-print platform sandals into the mix.

Even Solange Knowles would say no to this much print going on in one look.

Jing Tian In Christian Dior - Dior Homme Fall Winter 2013 Menswear Collection Show

Following the Beijing Film Festival, where we took issue with Jing Tian’s styling, she had another chance to impress on the red carpet yesterday evening when she attended the Dior Homme Fall/Winter 2013 Menswear Collection Show in Beijing, China.

The pretty actress this time selected a black pair of shoes without that quadruple-stacked platform, which many of you refer to as ‘stripper shoes’.

Her black Dior pumps were of course worn with a Dior dress from the Spring 2013 collection.

The dress appears to be a simple strapless LBD with a cascading ruffle on the side; however, there are pink and orange organza pieces embedded in the ruffle.

Opting for no bells or whistles, a pink lip colour with her hair swept behind her shoulders completed her minimalist look.

Too plain, or just right?

Jiang Yiyan In Basil Soda – 3rd Beijing International Film Festival

Having looked breathtaking at the 2013 Hong Kong Film Awards, Jiang Yiyan was back on the red carpet on Tuesday evening for the 2013 Beijing International Film Festival closing ceremony.

Opting for yet another ball gown, the actress selected another Basil Soda gown, this time from the Lebanese designer’s Spring 2013 collection.

The white bustier gown features a light-pink overlay on the tulle skirt, which is decorated with pink floral appliqués.

Once again she opted for subtle jewels, with a dark-pink lip colour completing her princess look.

Is this look heavenly or too frou frou?

I have to say I prefer her previous look.

Jing Tian In Christophe Josse Couture - 3rd Beijing International Film Festival

Jing Tian attended the closing ceremony for the 3rd Beijing International Film Festival held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing, China yesterday evening.

I was delighted that she decided to wear a look from Christophe Josse’s Spring 2013 Couture collection.

The French designer is highly underrated. I would love to see more of his exquisite pieces on the red carpet, hopefully this will be the start of more to come.

Tian wore a beautiful black embellished tea-length dress with a fully beaded contrasting collar.

Her prim-and-proper look was sadly let down by those hideous Giuesppe Zanotti platform peep-toes. I also wish she opted to wear the belt as styled on the runway.

With the exclusion of Lin Peng, this was a very well-dressed event.

Lin Peng In Dolce & Gabbana - 3rd Beijing International Film Festival

Lin Peng attended the closing ceremony for the 3rd Beijing International Film Festival held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing, China yesterday evening.

The actress wore a Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2013 dress.

I am surprised to see this look on the red carpet again so soon; you may remember I featured Audrey Tautou wearing this same skirt yesterday.

The difference is that Peng is wearing the skirt the wrong way around. The trio of kings print, which should be at the front, appears on the side here.

Peng’s floral-appliqué top is the only thing I like about this look; her black pumps are too office-like for my personal taste with this fiery look.
