Ashley Madekwe In Monique Lhuillier - Art of Elysium Heaven Gala

Ashley Madekwe attended the Art of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala held at Skirball Cultural Center on Saturday (January 11) in Los Angeles, California alongside Camilla Belle, Jennifer Morrison and Kate Bosworth.

Looking as stunning as ever, the actress wore a Monique Lhuillier Resort 2014 black-and-white abstract-print strapless gown, keeping the styling simple with a grey clutch and dazzling earrings.

Considering its dramatic nature I love how effortless this look is.

Kate Bosworth In Christian Dior - Art of Elysium Heaven Gala

Kate Bosworth made her first red carpet appearance of 2014 at the Art of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala held at Skirball Cultural Center on Saturday (January 11) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a Christian Dior Spring 2014 frock for the occasion which I loved on the runway, but I’m not quite feeling that same love on Kate.

Maybe it’s the length of this pale-blue embellished and pleated frock on Kate, or maybe the accessories are a tad bland, but this is just OK for me when I expected it to be great.

A simple ponytail and a hot-red lip rounded out her look.

Camilla Belle In Ralph Lauren - Art of Elysium Heaven Gala

Camilla Belle looked breathtaking at the Art of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala held at Skirball Cultural Center on Saturday (January 11) in Los Angeles, California.

While I’m not usually a fan of these kinds of shapeless gowns, it’s both the electric-blue hue of her Ralph Lauren Spring 2014 frock and the way she carried herself which essentially won me over – plus the elegant collection of Van Cleef and Arpels jewels also played its part.

A pretty pink lip colour and sexy cat eyes completed her look.

Anna Kendrick In J Mendel - Art of Elysium Heaven Gala

Anna Kendrick added some vampish glamour to the Art of Elysium’s 7th annual Heaven Gala in Los Angeles, held at the Skirball Cultural Centre on Saturday night (January 11).

In a black J.Mendel Spring 2014 pleated dress with lace bolero- style shoulders and an on-trend cut-out detail, it’s great to see Anna move away from her tried and tested nude and blush looks, but this feels a little too structured.

The embellished clutch is a nice touch, but the Christian Loubotuin ‘Love me’ bow-front heels are a little too prim, I would have preferred to see this look styled with a high sandal.

While it’s refreshing for Anna wear something more daring, I’m just not convinced it works. I can’t help but feel it’s a little too structured especially with such formal hair. Some waves like was saw at the Z100’s Jingle Ball last year would have been so much better. Do you agree?

Jennifer Morrison In Elisabetta Franchi - Art of Elysium Heaven Gala

Jennifer Morrison looked elegant at the Art of Elysium’s 7th annual Heaven Gala in Los Angeles, held at the Skirball Cultural Centre on Saturday night (January 11).

The actress, who has experimented with a variety of red carpet look in recent months, channelled the classic Hollywood starlet in a floor-length Elisabetta Franchi Fall 2013 gown and looked every inch the red carpet star.

The plunging neckline, thigh-high split and billowing arms may not be ground-breaking or particularly new, but Jennifer wowed and seems to have a found a look that really works for her.

A Jimmy Choo ‘Sweetie’ clutch and classic drop earrings added just the right amount of shine and were perfectly off-set by  a sultry smoky eye.
