Ellie Goulding In Christopher Kane – 2011 American Music Awards

Ellie Goulding attended the 2011 American Music Award which were held at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in California last night.

The British singer wore a Christopher Kane Fall 2011 black dress with a sheer yoke and cut-out waist.

I wish she’d turned things up a notch for this event to make her stand out.

Not Gaga stand out, just memorable, especially since we’ve already seen this look on Ciara who has the has abs to-die-for.

Since Ellie had access to this collection I wish she had picked one of the many looks we are yet to see on the red carpet.

A Lulu Guinness black studded lips clutch, pink lips, Christian Louboutin ankle strap heels and David Yurman starburst earrings completed her look.

Nicki Minaj In Oscar de la Renta – 2011 American Music Awards

Nicki Minaj was spotted in the press room at the 2011 American Music Award which were held at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in California last night.

The singer is the first celebrity to wear a look from the Oscar de la Renta Spring 2012 collection. Yes, you read that right.

I’m not surprised considering the singer was front row at the designer’s show back in September.

The two-time winner looked stunning wearing an emerald silk-taffeta gown with black battenburg lace and broderie anglaise bodice.

I know many of you aren’t fans of the mullet dress or Nicki’s sense of style, but I think she surprisingly pulls off this glamorous look with some style. I can’t fault her.

The rise-and-fall hemline allows her Alexander McQueen armour wedge sandal to share the spotlight.

Pink spiral curls with a matching matte lip colour completed her look.

Heidi Klum In Giles – 2011 American Music Awards

Heidi Klum was flying solo on the red carpet at the 2011 American Music Awards which were held at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in California last night.

The ‘Project Runway’ host wore a Spring 2012 dress by British designer Giles Deacon.

Her silver laser-cut dress was teamed with navy-blue undergarments.

The runway model opted for red, but I wish Heidi had opted for a flesh colour to make this a true risqué look. On Heidi the look feels watered down.

Tousled waves, dramatic smoky eyes, nude lips and Nicholas Kirkwood python slingbacks completed her futuristic look.

I love Mary, Roberto Cavalli and animal print individually, but the combo is not working here.

Not one single bit.

Not hair, not the oversized Pat Butcher-eqse earrings and especially not the shapeless dress.
