Selena Gomez In Giorgio Armani – 2014 American Music Awards

Selena Gomez In Giorgio Armani - 2014 American Music Awards

Following her sombre, aging, uninspiring, braless red carpet look, Selena Gomez performed onstage at the 2014 American Music Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (November 23) in Los Angeles, California.

The singer wore a custom Giorgio Armani blush gown with a deep-scoop neckline and delicate layers of soft tulle which will have us all saying, “This is much more like it” and “Why didn’t you make this your red carpet look?”

Ethereal and enchanting, the look was styled with a simple half-up, half-down hairstyle with the makeup soft and in neutral hues to complement her gown.

For the first time in a long while, this is a Selena Gomez look I can fully get on board with.

Karlie Kloss was on hand to support BFF Taylor Swift at the 2014 American Music Awards, held on Sunday (November 23) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

As much as I love the catwalker, I haven’t been the biggest fan of her red carpet style, so colour me happy to see her looking stunning wearing a Pamella Roland Spring 2014 two-piece.

The ab-baring sexy look for once isn’t dowdy, it’s event appropriate and showcases that sassy persona we always see when she takes to the runway.

Metallic silver Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps and an Emm Kuo clutch complete her look.

Taylor Swift In Michael Kors – 2014 American Music Awards

Taylor Swift In Michael Kors - 2014 American Music Awards

Being the first up to perform at the 2014 American Music Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (November 23) in Los Angeles, California, Taylor Swift skipped the red carpet, but did have her red carpet moment in the press room.

The singer donned a gorgeous emerald Michael Kors custom gown which featured an illusion yoke and cut-out at the waist.

What I love about this gown is that it provides a different silhouette for Taylor and the fact that for once the length is not above the knee.

The look is sexy without trying too hard, and it is chic and modern, but I have always, as you well know, found it hard to love illusion necklines when they are so obvious.
