Vogue Fashion’s Night Out Madrid 2014

Vogue Fashion's Night Out Madrid 2014

Vogue Fashion’s Night Out Madrid 2014 took place in Spain on Thursday (September 18). Here’s a look at three lovely ladies who caught my eye.

Norma Ruiz: Now that we are moving into fall, there couldn’t be a more perfect time for those moody prints from Alberta Ferretti’s Fall 2014 collection to hit the red carpet. Norma paired her tree bark maxi skirt with a solid black top instead of the bustier we saw on the runway with positive results. I’m also loving the addition of the Roberto Cavalli clutch, which pulls the whole look together rather nicely, with an Ararat cuff adding a new dimension to the look.

Megan Montaner: The actress was perhaps my favourite of the bunch, working chic separates courtesy of Blumarine’s Spring 2014 collection. It would’ve been easy to break up the runway look and play it safe with a black blazer; however, the red and white lapel look was harder to pull off, and I’m glad to see Megan doing so with ease. A maroon byDeeksha clutch and nude Louboutins completed her look.

Nerea Garmendia: Serving up some sultry flair, the actress wore a black Inas Couture jumpsuit, with an alluring lace bodice countered with flattering straight-leg trousers. The satin panels especially on the bodice are throwing me off loving this look; however, the pink Casadei pumps are taking the majority of my attention. A gold byDeeksha clutch and Aristocrazy jewels accessorized her look.

Norma Ruiz In Ermanno Scervino – Malaga Film Festival 2014 Closing Ceremony

Norma Ruiz In Ermanno Scervino - Malaga Film Festival 2014 Closing Ceremony

Norma Ruiz attended the 17th Malaga Film Festival 2014 closing ceremony held at the Cervantes Theatre on Saturday (March 29) in Malaga, Spain.

The Spanish actress gave us yet another gown with a sheer hem, her part-leather frock hailing from the Ermanno Scervino Pre-Fall 2014 collection.

This look has a boudoir vibe that I couldn’t get on board with as a red carpet look.

In an attempt to give the look an edge, she styled it with a spiked Christian Louboutin clutch and Ermanno Scervino black satin sandals.

As I love Norma’s style I wanted to get on board with this look, but sadly I love everything but the dress.

Who Wore Donna Karan Atelier Better…Naomie Harris or Norma Ruiz?

Who Wore Donna Karan Atelier Better Naomie Harris or Norma Ruiz

It can often be hard to stand out on the red carpet at the Met Gala, but Naomie Harris had no such worries in her breathtaking Donna Karan Atelier purple ombre gown styled with an Edie Parker clutch.

This is a gown that pretty much should’ve been retired as there was no outdoing Naomie, but Norma Ruiz dropped jaws again wearing the same gown to the Goya Awards 2014.
How do you separate the two?

My decision came down to first wearer, hair and makeup, so Naomie wins for me.

Norma Ruiz In Donna Karan – Fotogramas Magazine Awards

Norma Ruiz In Donna Karan - Fotogramas Magazine Awards

Norma Ruiz made an elegant appearance at the 2014 Fotogramas Magazine Awards in Madrid, Spain, on Monday evening (February 24).

Wearing a Donna Karan black floor-length dress with asymmetric cut-away detail at the shoulder and with a high split, Norma oozed glamour.

The Spanish actress is at her best in dramatic long dresses, just as this look shows.

I really like the way Norma always finds a way to add a unique spin to all of her looks. And true to word, Norma gave this classic black dress a real lift with a patent iridescent Jimmy Choo clutch and undeniably chic Rabat yellow diamond jewellery.

Norma’s perfect finishing touch was a pair of on-trend gold Jimmy Choo pumps and a sleek back-combed up-do. Simply stunning.

Norma Ruiz In Donna Karan Atelier – Goya Cinema Awards 2014

Norma Ruiz attended the Goya Cinema Awards 2014 held at Centro de Congresos Principe Felipe on Sunday (February 9) in Madrid, Spain.

When I saw this spectacular Donna Karan Atelier purple-and-black ombre part-cold-shoulder, part-off-the-shoulder gown on the Spanish beauty; Montell Jordan’s 90s hit, “This is How We Do It”, starting playing in my internal jukebox.

Her jaw-dropping gown has everything: drama, intrigue, elegance and sass appeal, plus the styling couldn’t be more on point with the chic bun, subtle jewels and black clutch.

While my reaction to Norma’s looks is usually, ‘just ok’, this look is one of her best ever looks.

You may remember that Naomie Harris wore this same gown last year to the Met Gala.
