Victoria Beckham For Vogue UK February 2011

Victoria Beckham graces the cover of Vogue UK’s February 2011 edition.

Despite her trademark pout this look is very refreshing for her.

In her recent editorials she has been poking fun at herself, which was funny the first 2 times, but started to become boring by the 5th/6th time.

VB wears invisible make-up and a Stella McCartney oversized cardigan.

This soft look was captured by Alasdair McLellan.

In her interview Victoria talks marriage, fashion, breast implants and family pets.

She most interestingly talks about her former WAG status. She insists that she no longer has French manicures and she’s removed her breast implants.

This issue hits newsstands tomorrow.

Alicia Keys For Vogue Italia November 2010

Alicia Keys looked stunning in an editorial for Vogue Italia November 2010.

The singer, who just gave birth to her first son Egypt, rocks in a mohawk for some shots and a sleek ‘do for others.

In her editorial shot by Michelangelo di Battista she wears Blumarine, Balmain, Giorgio Armani, John Galliano, YSL and Miu Miu as she shows us that the good girl of R&B has gone bad.

Here are some extracts from her interview.

On posing for this shoot whilst pregnant: “I like to transform myself like a chameleon. The photos showing me pregnant seemed brave and strong to me, just how I feel at this time”. Read More…

Cover Wars: Emma Watson for Vogue UK & Marie Claire US

We don’t see Emma Watson for a while then she comes back with a bang on two covers for December 2010.

Mario Testino shot her Vogue UK cover whilst Tesh shot her Marie Claire US cover.

She wears white on both covers and it even looks like she’s wearing the same feathered skirt.

The make-up is also very similar, but her hair is slicked back on the Vogue cover.

I find myself naturally focusing on the Vogue UK cover. This is because both her smile and pose feel more natural.

Anne Hathaway For Vogue US November 2010

I was totally blown away when I saw Anne Hathaway on the cover of American Vogue’s November 2010 issue.

She looks every inch the perfect cover girl. You just can’t fault her.

In her editorial we see her wearing many gowns I wish she’d saved for the red carpet, but we all know when she finally does hit the red carpet she’s almost guaranteed to blow us away.

She wears a burgundy Oscar de la Renta gown on the cover and a white silk-faille eyelet embroidered dress with beaded bow in the editorial which also sees her wearing Isaac Mizrahi, Carolina Herrera, Vera Wang and Marchesa.

Anne’s editorial featured Resort 2011 looks, so I found it very surprising that Vogue had used that well worn Miu Miu Fall 2010 embellished dress in this editorial, considering it has appeared on every magazine cover worldwide from the UK, to Australia to Japan and considering Vogue prides itself on being the industry leader and not a follower.

Anne’s appearance in the Vogue coincides with her new movie “Love and Other Drugs” which is out on November 24.

Here are some extracts from her interview:

On her nude scenes in Love and Other Drugs: “This movie certainly has a lot of nerve . . . Oy. I hope that audiences are OK with all the nerve. These are people who have no trouble taking their clothes off – in a way, their bodies are their currency . . . but they’re terrified of exposing their vulnerability, of becoming emotionally naked.” Read More…

Carey Mulligan For Vogue US October 2010

Carey Mulligan is the October 2010 cover girl for American Vogue.

Grace Coddington styled the Peter Lindbergh shoot which sees Carey wearing Chanel, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Armani Privé and Valentino Couture Fall 2010 looks, plus a Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière peony-print jacquard dress and a Nina Ricci silk-tulle-and-lace dress with velvet sash.

Carey has two movies due for release soon. “Never Let Me Go” and “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”, but she’d love to star in “Glee”.

Unfortunately she’s been told she’s not famous enough yet. Maybe her new films will change all that.

Despite being quite petite Carey complained that her Couture wardrobe was too small even for her.

Here are some extracts from her interview with her stunning Couture editorial below.

On attending events with Shia LaBeouf: “Posing on the red carpet feels like you’re selling something that has nothing to do with you. If you do it with someone else, it’s like we’re saying, ‘Oh! We come as a pair! Would you like to buy both of us? We’re available for weddings and Bar Mitzvahs!” Read More…

Halle Berry For Vogue US September 2010

Halle Berry historically became the first black woman to win Best Actress at the Oscars.

She makes history again today by being only the second black woman to appear on the cover of American Vogue’s September 2010 issue.

Naomi Campbell was the first. If you watched “The September Issue” documentary, you’ll remember how Anna Wintour said back in 1989 it caused “huge controversy to put a black girl on the September cover”.

Oh how times have changed. 21 years on we’re only focusing how beautiful Halle looks on the cover.

Mario Testino shot Halle wearing 6 velvet dresses by Giorgio Armani, Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang and Escada.

Velvet is synonymous with Fall, so it’s the perfect way to put as in a Fall mindset as the Fall looks hit the stores.

Halle talks about being a mum to 2-year-old daughter Nahla and her split with Nahla’s father, Gabriel Aubry.

This 726 page issue goes on sale in the US August 24.

You can read Halle’s whole interview at

Here are some extracts:

On the so-called Oscar curse: “People win Oscars, and then it seems like they fall off the planet. And that’s partly because a huge expectation walks in the room and sits right down on top of your head. The moment I won the Oscar, I felt the teardown the very next day. I thought, if I’m going down, I’m going down taking chances and daring to risk. Hence …Catwoman.” Read More…
