Penelope Cruz celebrated the release of her new movie, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” by landing the cover of American Vogue’s June 2011 issue.

So many of you complained about the overuse of elephants in Reese Witherspoon’s May 2011 editorial, so you’ll be please to discover that there are no Pirate references in Pen’s editorial.

The Spanish actress sports a clean natural look. I had never noticed her cute freckles before.

We see her wearing nothing but white Dolce & Gabbana pieces throughout her editorial, which showcases her outstanding figure making it hard to believe that she had a baby late last year.

Penelope’s June issue of Vogue hits stores nationwide May 24.

Here are some extracts from her interview.

On motherhood: “From the first second, you feel so much love. It is a revolutionary experience. That’s the best way I can describe it. It transforms you completely, in a second. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment—when you see that face, you are transformed forever.” Read more…

Reese Witherspoon graces her second cover in so many weeks.

Last week it was People fior her wedding issue, this week she smolders on the cover of American Vogue’s May 2011 issue.

For the cover Peter Lindbergh captures the beautiful actress sporting marcel waves wearing a Roland Mouret Fritz silk and crepe camisole from the Spring 2011 collection.

The rest of her editorial, which she shares with an elephant, sees her wearing Christian Dior, Sophie Theallet, Narciso Rodriguez and Dolce & Gabbana.

In the magazine Reese talks about her new hubby and her “Water for Elephants” co-star Robert Pattinson shares his admiration for the actress.

On married life with Jim Toth: “He’s wonderful. He’s just a really great guy, and I feel really lucky. It’s so cute: Over the holidays I was at a department store in L.A. with my friends, and these three women from Oklahoma came up to me, and they said – Reese, We are so happy for yeeew. We liiike this guy for yeeew.’ And I said, ‘You do?!’ ‘Yes, ma’am. We think he is a niiice man. We think he is going to treat you well and be good to yeeew.’ I was like, ‘Really?’ So sweet! And I told them my mother likes him very much, too.” Read more…

Jessica Alba sports a bobbed wig and channels her inner dominatrix in vampy editorial for Vogue Italia April 2011.

I love that she’s stepped so very far out of her comfort for this shoot which was captured by Michelangelo Di Battista.

With intense eyebrows, a lace butterfly mask and black lipstick the actress poses with vintage cars wearing sexy pieces from Lanvin, Chanel, Moschino, Jean Paul Gaultier and Dolce & Gabbana plus a colourful Prada fur stole was added to the mix.

On going naked for a role: “I am basically conservative, and this is due to the education I received from my parents. I know how this market works and I am prepared to play along. But to go naked does not interest me at all”. Read more…

With the Kate Middleton’s wedding day (and my birthday) 23 days away, Vogue UK are joining in the bridal bliss with a special collector’s edition Wedding issue.

Natalia Vodianova, Freja Beha Erichsen and Lara Stone make up a trio of blushing brides on the cover wearing Vivienne Westwood, Oscar de la Renta and Bruce Oldfield respectively.

Mario Testino (who also shot the royal couple’s official engagement photos), captured the supermodels in looking romantic with chic updos for their covers.

Whether you are looking for tips for your upcoming nuptials or wanting to join in the excitement of Kate’s big day, this issue will surely be a collectors’ item.

Rihanna channels her inner Ariel from The Little Mermaid on cover of the April 2011 edition of American Vogue.

The singer was so excited about her cover, she tweeted it straight after the shoot.

As Vogue covers are features are supposed to be confidential, I wasn’t surprised to see her tweet taken down a few hours later.

I can see why she was so excited. She got to wear a stunning embroidered Chanel Pre-Fall 2011 dress on the cover which was shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

The editors at Vogue didn’t try to portray Rihanna as anyone other than herself. She gives us sexy rock chic bad-ass attitude plus a few gentle shots of her skipping down the beach wearing Lanvin.

Rihanna wears a red hot Hervé Léger by Max Azria cutout swimsuit with Alexander Wang open-toe booties; a Chloé one-shoulder mesh dress and a Donna Karan midnight-blue bodysuit in the rest of her beautiful editorial.

The April issue is called the “Shape Issue”, so Rihanna talks about loving her figure and hating the gym. Here are some extracts from her interview:

On cutting her hair and dying it black back in 2007: “When I cut my hair, the whole sound changed, my style changed.” Read more…
