Red Carpet Fashion Awards

As one of the judges on ‘X Factor’, Demi Lovato managed to score herself the Teen Vogue cover for November 2012.

The 20-year-old singer, with blue dip-dyed hair was transformed, from the Topshop stud-adorned looks we all know her for, for soft floral pieces by Marc Jacobs, Topshop and Guess which were shot by Jason Kibbler.

She talks to the mag about everything from working with Britney Spears, friendship, her music career plus she addresses rumours that she’s dating One Direction’s Niall Horan.

Extracts from Demi’s Teen Vogue interview are below. Teen Vogue’s November issue hits shelves on October 15.

On working with Britney Spears on ‘The X-Factor’: “She was one of the first concerts I ever went to. She’s incredible. She’s such an icon that I didn’t know what to expect, but I was excited to find out that she’s really sweet and funny and quirky. We have so much fun. We’re the two girls on the show, so we’re always laughing together, and we kind of have each other’s backs.”

On life outside of her musical career: “I’m consistently busy, but I make sure I spend a lot of time with my friends and family. I did kind of a friend cleanse right after rehab, where I weeded out people who didn’t have my best interests at heart. Now I have friends who love me for who I am and don’t care about what I’m doing. Most of them aren’t in the industry. Some of them don’t even know my songs!”

On rumours that she’s dating Niall Horan from One Direction: “He’s a really awesome, sweet guy. But he’s not my boyfriend…. I’m in a place right now where I really need to focus on myself. Obviously, I’m still going to like people—or love them—but I need to not be in a relationship for a while because I need to be okay with being alone, first. I’m really happy right now. I never thought it was possible to be happy because of how depressed I was my entire life. But I feel so incredible. It’s like I’m living in a dream.”

On how she takes care of herself two years after checking into rehab: “Obviously, I sleep, eat right, exercise, and meditate. And even when I’m filming or touring, I keep up my daily routine. I know that I can’t miss my therapy appointments or things will get a little rocky, so I always put my recovery first.”

With her new movie ‘Hotel Transylvania’ set to hit theatres on September 21, Selena Gomez graces the cover of Teen Vogue’s September issue.

Boo George captures the 20-year-old actress striking a pose wearing an American Eagle Outfitters shirt with a Jill Stuart bralet and a Gucci necklace for the cover.

The rest of her editorial sees the young star wearing a mixture of easy separates including a chunky-knit Tse sweater, Citizens of Humanity shorts, an A.P.C. cardigan and a MICHAEL Michael Kors sweater.

She dishes to the mag about her relationship with Justin Bieber, movies, music and her style.

On moving away from teen roles: “Monte Carlo was a good step for me at the time, but I would never want to do something like that again.”

On her acting goals: “Being part of the Disney Channel was such a blessing, and I’m super happy with what my show accomplished, but acting is something I would like to take on more seriously. I don’t necessarily feel accomplished. I want to create a whole different persona when it comes to acting.”

On her next album: “It’s going to be different — a little older but still really fun.”

On her dream music collaboration: “Who I would die to work with, but I don’t think he ever would—I don’t even think he’s doing music anymore—is Justin Timberlake. Just ’cause I love his music sooo much.”

On her personal style: “I’ve never been comfortable with saying, ‘Here’s a top that I’m going to sell for $350, and it’s just a T-shirt.’ I get sent things that are really nice, and I’m like, ‘This is cute,’ and I look at the tag and it’s $200. I’m like, Oh my gosh, people probably think I buy it, and I don’t. It’s really weird.”

On her relationship: “It’s really fun. I’m lucky. I’m 20. I don’t take anything in my personal life too seriously. I have great friends and a solid group of people I love. I feel like everything else will come organically.”

At present you can’t pass a newsstand without seeing the gorgeous Emma Stone looking back at you.

There aren’t many actresses who can pull off a Vogue hat-trick.

For July she covered American Vogue, and for August she covered Teen Vogue and Vogue UK.

Sporting straight strawberry-blonde locks and heavily lined eyes, the raspy-voiced Revlon ambassador was captured by Patrick Demarchelier for Vogue UK wearing a MaxMara black-and-white houndstooth sweater and a wool-and-leather cap by the same brand.

I love the slightly mod look, it’s in total contrast to her Teen Vogue cover where she looks very sweet sporting a lighter hair colour whilst posing alongside boyfriend Andew Garfield wearing a Louis Vuitton dress which was shot by Josh Olins.

The rest of her editorial sees her wearing Marc Jacobs, McQ by Alexander McQueen, Mulberry, Calvin Klein and Prada.

Elle Fanning graces the February 2012 cover of Teen Vogue wearing a red lace Miu Miu dress.

You will be pleased to know that the teen who you vote Best Dressed Teen of 2011 isn’t wearing any nude dresses in her editorial.

She wears a pink Carven dress, a scarlet Red Valentino dress, a pink Bebe top, a salmon Christopher Kane dress and a check Prada dress.

At 13 years old the talented actress has already landed a Marc Jacobs campaign, has already worn countless Couture looks on the red carpet, sat front row at Chanel and Rodarte plus she has many magazine covers under her stylish belt.

In her interview she talks about falling in love with Ryan Gosling, her big sister Dakota and dressing her age.

You can read more of Elle interview over at TeenVogue.com. Here are some extracts:

On her acting method: “I never really pull from experience. I just sort of make believe. That’s why I like acting. You can create or imagine anything. It’s not like I’ve fallen in love but I’ve had crushes and things.” Read more…

Jessica Szhor is the last main member of the “Gossip Girl” cast to have a solo Teen Vogue cover.

Her February 2010 cover sees her wearing one of my favourite looks from the BCBG Max Azria Spring 2010 collection. I also loved the red Versus safety-pin dress below.

The self-proclaimed “jeans and tee shirt girl” is refreshingly down-to-earth in her interview.

She opens up about her modest attitude towards fame, her relationship with Ed Westwick, and her big screen debut this April in the spring-break thriller “Piranha 3-D.”

Click here for information on the February cover and behind the scenes footage from the shoot.

On her Gossip Girl co-stars and double-dating with them: “I’ve heard horror stories form other actors about egos, people who don’t get along, but we’re all friends. There are people from this job who will be in my life for a very, very long time… Sometimes we double-date with Penn [Badgley] and Blake [Lively], or Leighton [Meester] and Sebastian [Stan]. We all hang out.”

Whether we like it or not, it seems the rock chick look Taylor Momsen is forcing down our throats is here to stay for a while.

This is evident in her Teen Vogue September 2009 editorial shot by Patrick Demarchelier.

I’m surprised they didn’t soften her like they did with Miley Cyrus. Instead they played up to the moody teenager Jenny Humphrey she plays in Gossip Girl, dressing her in edgy looks and accessorizing with studded bracelets and necklaces.

My favourite look is the Gucci Fall 2009 look below, but that picture only appears in the outtakes.

In her interview Taylor shares that she’s been acting professionally for more than a decade, yet music has always been her first passion. She recorded most of her album before signing a deal with Interscope.

“I wanted to have it all done so I could say, ‘Here’s who I am, either you like it or you don’t.’” As for her writing process, she holds nothing back admitting, “My lyrics are my diary—you’re hearing every detail on my life.”

Here are some more extracts from her interview:

On relating to other teens: “I live a very adult life: I have two different careers; I’m on tour. What am I going to do, hang out with the high school kids? I just can’t relate to what they talk about—it seems so petty.
