Taylor Swift For Teen Vogue March 2009

Country singer Taylor Swift graces the cover of Teen Vogue’s March 2009 edition.

Taylor’s second album Fearless debuted at number one on the Billboard charts, the Billboard Top Country Albums, Canadian Albums Chart, and Canadian Top Country Albums. The album has also gone two-time platinum. Not bad for a girl who was thought to be weird at school for liking country music.

Here are some extracts from her interview.

On her glamorous red carpet look: “I’ve learned a lot. I go to all these photo shoots, and each time I figure out something new about myself and what I want to wear. For a big night, I like Marchesa or Badgley Mischka—and I love Oscar de la Renta. I’ve never gotten to wear one of his dresses; if I ever did, I would probably faint. And I am obsessed with high heels.”

On listening to country music growing up: “The kids at school thought it was weird that I liked country—they’d make fun of me. Junior high was actually sort of hard, because I got dumped by this group of popular girls. They didn’t think I was cool or pretty enough, so they stopped talking to me.”

On people taking her picture: “Well, I’ve never had paparazzi in Nashville before; that’s a new thing. You really have a lot of privacy here. I saw that documentary on Britney Spears, and I feel bad for her—she can’t leave her house!”

Teen Vogue’s March issue with cover girl Taylor Swift, will hit newsstands February 3rd.

Victoria Beckham For Vogue Russia February 2009

Fashion Editors seem to be in love with Victoria Beckham at the moment, as she has appeared on many covers worldwide over the last few months. Most recently Harper’s Bazaar US January 2009.

For this month the fashion designer appears on the cover of Vogue Russia February 2009. I really like this editorial, as it has a bit of an edge, and it’s a lot more creative than the previous shoots she has appeared in.

The downside is that her face it covered in most of the pictures, but she still looks gorgeous.

The shoot was styled by Katie Grand, and Sølve Sundsbø was the photographer.

On her collection: “Forties and 50s underwear played a big influence on the collection, but the inspiration is me.”

“I have tried every one of the dresses on, lived in them, to work out what feels right. I hope the silhouette is what every woman wants to wear.”

Jennifer Connelly For Harper’s Bazaar UK February 2009

American Beauty Jennifer Connelly, appears on the February 2009 edition of UK’s Harper’s Bazaar.

In the magazine she talks about her life with British actor husband Paul Bettany, as well as her role in the upcoming romantic comedy He’s Just Not That Into You. In this movie she stars alongside Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johannson, Ginnifer Goodwin and Drew Barrymore.

A lot of you have questioned Jennifer weight. Her husband finally addressed the weight loss rumours recently. He said, “I will tell you… My wife just lost her father.”

Here are some extracts from her interview:

On her husband Paul Bettany: “One of my first memories of Paul was him hanging out with Kai in my trailer one day, during filming. They were playing, and they had all the cushions out and they’d made some sort of obstacle course. And I remember, at that age, Kai was very attached to me and came with me everywhere, so at a certain point, I said, ‘I’m going to go next-door to the make-up trailer. Do you wanna come?’ And he said, ‘No, I’m going to stay here.’ The two of them just hit it off immediately.”

On Jennifer Aniston:
“I thought she was such a sweetheart. I’ve always thought she was very talented and lovely, warm, generous and after the film I thought, ‘Ooh I want to be her friend. I want to hang out with her.'”

Blake Lively For Vogue US February 2009

Vogue’s Best Dressed Star of 2008 – I kid you not – Blake Lively graces the cover of their February 2009 edition.

On the cover the Gossip Girl actress wears a black Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 dress, with a yellow sash.

It’s a nice cover, but I can’t help but be curious as to how she looked in full length in the dress.

Here are some extracts from her interview:

On how the show ignores the economic recession:: “We live in an alternate universe on the show; it’s a heightened reality, so I don’t think the writers would work that in. They created a show that people can watch after a long day and not have to stress and worry and feel the burdens of real life. It’s just an escape, watching these sparkly lives and just escaping into this other world for an hour.”

On the clothes: “The fashion is just unbelievable. You can watch our show on mute and be entertained. Just being here, walking around, you pick it up really quickly. In New York, you put on skinny jeans and riding boots and a leather coat and handbag, and you take on that posture and character. It becomes very natural.”

On putting her personal touches on Serena’s wardrobe: “The more they work with me and see my style, and the more I learn about fashion, the more input I have. It’s more collaborative now than it was in the beginning because then I had no idea what I was doing.”

Eva Longoria For Glamour US February 2009

Eva Longoria graces the cover of Glamour US February 2009 edition, with her cropped hair do, despite recently returning to her longer locks.

The Desperate Housewives star opens up to Glamour about her relationship with hubby, Tony Parker and her weight gain for Desperate Housewives.

On the relationship with her husband: “Tony [Parker]and I would love to be together forever. But the only way you get to forever is one day at a time.”

On the appearance of recent weight gain for Desperate Housewives: “I’m wearing a fat suit! It’s suffocating. Unfortunately, we live our life in public, so any weight gain or pimple is a national story. I don’t get this obsessions with weight. It’s not only Hollywood; it’s our society.”

On who is the “flower” and who is the “gardener” in her marriage: “I’m the gardener. I definitely nurture. [My husband] is the flower. But there are times when Tony takes care of me—in an emotional sense, like, OK, let me take the reins on this one. But I love to take care of him. I’m really a very fifties housewife.”
