I thought Pop magazine having 6 cover was too much last month, but V55 magazine have topped them by featuring 14 different covers featuring some of the most well-known models for its Fall 2008 edition.

Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Agyness Deyn and Daria Werbowy are just a few of the famous faces who grace the cover.

The pictures were shot by the creative duo of Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

Rachel Weisz appears on the most stunning cover of Vogue US this year, for it’s October issue.

We first discovered Rachel Weisz was going to appear in Vogue’s October issue back in July, when we saw candids of Rachel in a red Giles Fall 2008 dress, which she accessorized with a pumpkin-face tote.

The actress was very happy that the shoot took place in her neighbourhood, New York’s East Village. Of her hood, she says it’s “Cool, bohemian, sort of edgy. Not uptown-y at all.”

Here are some extracts from her interview:

On the definition of good styling: “When you look at a picture and you want to be the woman in the photos”.

On juggling her workload and motherhood: “Things get more complicated when you have a child. We (her and her fiancé, Director Darren Aronofsky) can’t both be working at the same time.”

On her co-star Susan Sarandon, who plays the outrageous grandmother in The Lovely Bones:, “When the nights were cold and late, her sense of humor saved me. She’s unassuming, down-to-earth, and extremely humble. Her listening is extraordinary. That might not seem like a big thing, but in a way, it’s everything. When you see actors and they’re alive and there’s something that’s compelling about them, I’d say it’s 90 percent their ability to listen, and allow what they’re seeing, hearing, and so forth to penetrate them.”

On modeling at 14 years old: “I was a bit too young to know how to look sexy, so they used to say to me, ‘Look angry!’”

Anne Hathaway graces the cover of the October 2008 edition W magazine.

Despite her highly publicized personal trials, Anne has emerged with more confidence, and looking better than ever.

You definitely sense her new found confidence in her interview, here are some extracts:

On when the news broke about Raffaello: “Right now I don’t have the wherewithal to be anything except professional. As soon as I found out about the arrest, I had to get on a plane to Mexico to do a press tour for Get Smart. And then I spent a week in shock at a friend’s house. And then I had to go back and do more press, and I haven’t stopped since.”

On moving on: “I was up in Nyack [New York] the other night visiting Jonathan [Demme] and his family. They all had so much going on. And I just started to cry because I thought, I don’t have a life right now. And I haven’t for some time, and I just haven’t noticed.”

On her friends’ support: “It’s a situation where the rug was pulled out from under me all of a sudden. But just as suddenly, my friends threw another rug back under me. One said, ‘Go stay at my house.’ And Steve Carell stepped up for me during an interview when someone asked a question [about it]. He said, ‘At some point you’re going to have to talk about this time in your life. You don’t have to do it this week. I’ll take care of anything that comes your way.’ I’ve been shown such kindness. Not everyone gets that. A lot of people go through tough times alone.”

Jennifer Lopez appears on the cover the Elle US October 2008 edition looking stunning in a strapless embellished ombre cocktail dress.

We finally get to see Jennifer in that coral and white Oscar de la Renta dress, which we saw in candids back in July.

We saw Jessica Biel in a similar editorial for Harper’s Bazaar for their August 2008 edition, but it did not nearly have as much spark and personality as Jennifer’s editorial for Elle.

Here are some extracts from her interview:

On Dolce and Gabbana: “My babies! I love them, I love them, I love them.”

On Donatella Versace: “We’ve always had a very sweet relationship. I really got to know her more after her brother had died.”

On Georgina Chapman: “She could be a model-but meanwhile she’s down there pinning and sewing all these things all over you!”

On shooting in Washington Heights with Oscar de la Renta: “We were in the hoody! All kinds of locals hanging around, eating out of paper bags, thinking, what’s going on here? It was crazy.”

On being pregnant and commissioning a book of photos of herself for Marc two weeks before giving birth: “I was like, How am I going to rock this moment of my life?… I felt very womanly. Marc was in a dream. He loved it.”

On not being able to get pregnant right away:We knew nothing was wrong with either one of us-I had been checked, and he had kids already. I knew Something’s not ready here, in my head or in my life, and when it is, I know it’s going to happen.”

On first realizing she was pregnant: “I was sitting down doing hair and makeup and I felt a flutter. The weirdest little…flourish. My makeup artist said ‘What’s the matter?’ I didn’t say anything, but in my head, I was like, I have life inside me!”

On her pregnancy:We came off tour and I said ‘I did the superwoman thing, I finished the tour-now I need you to take care of me. I love doing things for you; if I’m not cooking, then I’m picking out a shirt. But this is the first time in my life where I’m just going to be a little bit selfish. I don’t know if I’m going to have kids again, so I want it to be a beautiful experience. I don’t want to have any drama. I want to just be smiling every day.’”

I love the Diane von Furstenberg and Marchesa pictures.

A big thank you to Tchaisha who sent me the pictures from this magical editorial of Emma Watson for Vogue Italia September 2008.

Emma is dressed in fairy tale-like couture gowns and dresses by Versace, Chanel and Armani Privé in a dreamy, theatrical setting.

After Lucy Liu’s Harper’s Bazaar editorial, this is definitely my second favourite of the year.

In her interview Emma talked about how she has struggled during her journey from 9-year-old child actress to 18-year-old movie star.

“In a way, it’s hard to grow up inside a film. I lived a period of my life that is full of lessons and changes under the spotlight,”

“People have the strange feeling of knowing me intimately because they have seen my transformation from child to woman, albeit only on screen.”

Tilda Swinton’s is very much a woman who does not play it safe. This applies to her daring film choices and her fashion sense.

We are more likely to see Tilda wearing designers with an edge or a touch of eccentricity like Christian Dior, Lanvin and YSL.

For her BlackBook September 2008 editorial, Tilda wears a lot of Rodarte, a look that fits her so well, but one that she has not worn yet on the red carpet. But to be fair, it may be hard for even Tilda to make the Rodarte designs translate well on the red carpet.

Her are some extracts from her interview:

On making her own clothes: “I wore a dress the other day that I made when I was 15 or 16… It was hand done, because I had never learned how to operate an electric sewing machine. Maybe that’s the reason I like wearing hand-made clothes, because I really appreciate the work that goes into them.”

On her favourite designers, Viktor & Rolf: “They made a really personal and slightly untidy and vagrant attitude in me really beautiful in the clothes they created–and that’s really a dream.”

On Rodarte: “Their clothes have attitude. And the physical quality of their clothes is delicious… You can feel that hands made their clothes.”

On winning an Academy Award: “The Motion Academy of doo da – what was it called? The prize is probably the most famous in the world. For months, at least, people can tell you who won the Oscars, but nobody really knows who wins the Pulitzer Prize or the Nobel Peace Prize. It’s shameful, but true. A lot of people really want one – really, really want one. And I’m embarrassed because I never did, and I feel a little ashamed that I was given one when I didn’t really want one.”

On who gave her the nickname ‘Swilda’: “The only person I ever met who called me Swilda, who gave me that name, is Matt Dillon… I don’t know. Maybe he was drunk.”

Actress Eva Mendes looks gorgeous, as always on the cover of Marie Claire US September 2008 edition, wearing a raspberry Gucci Fall 2008 draped gown with metal embroidery and chain detail.

Eva parlayed her big-screen sex appeal into a lucrative deal as the spokesmodel for Calvin Klein’s newest fragrance Secret Obsession. But Eva Mendes’ commercial was branded as too racy for television in the States.

Eva’s reaction to the banned ad was “I love it. That means the ads are totally Calvin, totally provocative and a little controversial.”

Here are some extracts of her interview with Marie Claire:

On women’s strained friendships with each other: “I don’t understand women who don’t like being with the girls. They say they’d rather be with the guys all the time? That it’s just so much easier? I’m calling bulls— on that.”

On Annette Bening being a true role model: “She reminds me of one of those women back in the ‘40s and ‘50s. She’s a broad, and I want to be a broad. I mean, she’s like Ava Gardner or Bette Davis or Katherine Hepburn. Those women were broads. They said it like it was.”

On her life growing up: “I was raised by parents who didn’t have much. We didn’t use whole pieces of paper towel. We shared, or used rags. Mom didn’t even want us flushing all the time.”

On believing the public doesn’t need to know everything about where she lives and how long she’s been with her boyfriend: “Think about what this whole culture of celebrity has done to movie stars. It’s made them extinct. Actors used to carry films because people would have to actually go to the movies to see them. It was the only place. But now there’s none of that mystique, and so there’s less of a reason to buy a ticket.”

Vogue Australia have a model on their September 2008 issue wearing the same dress, but even from the side I think Eva wears it better.
