Kristen Stewart For Marie Claire US March 2014

Kristen Stewart graces the cover of the Marie Claire US March 2014 issue – which was shot by Tesh – wearing an Emilio Pucci colourful beaded frock.

The ‘Twilight’ star wears Saint Laurent, Balmain, Louis Vuitton and Giambattista Valli in her editorial, opening up to the magazine about love and her relationships, almost quitting acting aged 9, drugs, and being judged.

Here are some extracts. You can read more over at MarieClaire.com.

On almost quitting acting at age 9: “I auditioned for a year before I got anything, and I told my mom I was kind of over it. I was like, ‘I don’t want to make you drive around L.A. anymore. If it’s not happening, it’s not worth it.’ They thought I looked like a boy. I didn’t think it was going to pan out, and then literally that day, I got The Safety of Objects, which was my first movie.”

On directing aspirations: “The idea of making a movie scares me because I want it to be amazing. If people watch it, I don’t want, ‘Oh, how nice, her first little directorial debut.’ I want it to be, ‘Boom!’”

On her M.O.: “I’m kind of, like, an extremist. I really don’t want to be working unless I’m bleeding it. And if I’m not working, then don’t ever try to make a plan with me.”

On being judged as a peril of fame: “I stand by every mistake I’ve ever made, so judge away.”

On being less inhibited: “I was always like, ‘If you put too many walls up, you can’t see. You’re limiting your life so drastically and in a sad way.’ So I always used to say, ‘I’m not putting up any walls, I’m trying to break them down,’ and it seemed kind of defensive—it was definitely coming from that place. But now I’m actually maintaining like I don’t live in a fortress.”

On drugs: “I’m such a control freak. I’m glad I grew up in this era because I think if I grew up in my parents’ age of drugs and discovery and crazy shit, I don’t think I would do drugs well.”

On falling in love: “You don’t know who you will fall in love with. You just don’t. You don’t control it. Some people have certain things, like, ‘That’s what I’m going for,’ and I have a subjective version of that. I don’t pressure myself… If you fall in love with someone, you want to own them – but really, why would you want that? You want them to be what you love. I’m much too young to even have an answer for that question.”

On her haters: “I stand by every mistake I’ve ever made. So judge away.”

Keira-Knightley-1

Keira Knightley graces the cover of Marie Claire UK‘s May 2013 issue looking radiant wearing a red Valentino gown shot by Nathaniel Goldberg.

The rest of the editorial sees her wearing Tom Ford, Gucci, Balenciaga and of course her favourites Chanel and Valentino.

In her interview, Keira talks about getting engaged to Klaxons keyboard player James Righton, the definition of success and coping with fame.

The May 2013 issue is out now.

Here are some extracts from her interview.

On how she defines success: “I’m not sure if I can define success. I think if I get to the end of my life having hurt as few people as possible, making sure the people who mean the most to me know they have been loved, I will be happy. Success in work, whatever work, will come and go.”

On coping with fame in Hollywood: The machine that allows you to make movies, the trade-off [requires] you to sell it. Selling it means making yourself a public figure. You can’t cultivate the mystery. My problem is I like mystery

On her upcoming wedding to James Righton: “I could have six weddings. God, that would be expensive. We’ve not big-wedding types. I don’t need to have all that. I’m just trying to enjoy the engagement bit. My parents are together after 40 years. The fights are there, but they love each other. It’s not like the first three months, the frost two years, whatever it is, but I think it gets more interesting, or I hope so.”

Gwen Stefani graces the January 2013 cover of UK Marie Claire.

The rock star, businesswoman, fashion icon, wife and mum wears a selection of black and white looks throughout her editorial, which range from sexy to tomboy chic from her L.A.M.B. label

Talking to the mag, she opens up about her full-on schedule, how she’s learned to delegate, having more children and what her 10-year wedding anniversary represents to her.

You can read the full interview in Marie Claire, which is on newsstands now.

Here are some extracts:

On her relationship with Gavin Rossdale: “It’s better than it’s ever been, like we’re learning about each other all the time. Gavin’s an amazing dad and he works so hard – I can hear him writing songs through the wall, and it is at a much quicker pace than me. He balances me out. And he never stops liking me, which is awesome. It makes me feel happy that someone likes me as much as he does.”

On what their landmark 10-year wedding anniversary represents to her: ‘A miracle.’ After all she’s done, ‘my biggest accomplishment is my marriage so far. Because it’s hard, everyone knows it’s hard.’ Marriage, she continues, ‘is something that I always wanted to do successfully. It was a dream of mine. I like the official-ness and the family-ness of it all, having the same name and making decisions together.’

On having more children: ‘I really, really, really wanted one about two years ago. And it didn’t work out. So I feel good with what we’ve got. Everything works out how it should. You can’t plan anything, right?’

With her new movie, ‘The Bourne Legacy’, hitting cinemas today in London, it’s no wonder Rachel Weisz was selected by Marie Claire UK as their cover girl for September 2012.

The 42-year-old actress looked enchanting wearing a Jason Wu gown from the Fall 2012 collection, which was captured by Tesh for the cover.

She continues to smoulder in the rest of her editorial, which sees her don a black and red Lanvin look, a Sophia Kokosolaki chiffon black dress and a pretty floral Dolce & Gabbana frock.

She talked to Marie Claire about swapping teenage rebellion for motherhood, Oscar-winning roles and marriage.

On if it was love at first sight with 007 husband Daniel Craig: “I’m going to change the subject… It wasn’t really like that. We’d been friends for ages.”

On living with another actor: “We don’t sit around talking about acting but you both understand you’ve got to be flexible. Every few months you start a new job.”

On not being bothered by the increased interest in her private life: “As far as downsides go, I don’t think it’s a big one. It’s something we deal with together.”

On not being perfect: “I have countless flaws – have you got a year?’ she says, standing tall in a Sophia Kokosolaki dress. ‘Hopefully, as one gets older, one learns to deal with the flaws that really affect other people.”

On combining acting with motherhood: “Like any job, there are days when you’re just pulling your hair out. The same as anyone who wants to be with their kid or husband. Every mother feels that don’t they? Of course sometime’s it’s great to get away and feel, ‘Hooray, I’m not changing nappies today.’ I mean, I love my son but it’s not without conflict.”

More September cover stars are starting to be unveiled. Marie Claire appear to be going for the teen market, enlisting Miley Cyrus to grace their cover.

The 19-year-old engaged star was captured by Tesh wearing a bejewelled Christian Dior dress on the cover, with the rest of her editorial featuring Paco Rabanne, Aquilano.Rimondi, Tom Ford, Versace, Roberto Cavalli and Kanye West.

Miley talks to the mag about feeling happier than ever, her fiancé Liam Hemsworth and her engagement ring.

Read Miley’s full interview when the September issue of Marie Claire hits newsstands on September 17, or check out the extracts below:

On being with fiance Liam Hemsworth: “Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with. I don’t really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we’ve made to each other. And we want to have a long engagement.”

On her dog, Ziggy: “She’s a stubborn little b**ch, that one. She doesn’t listen to me. She’s in love with Liam. She loves me when he’s gone, but she totally ate my diamonds on purpose. She was pooping them out all morning!”

On her vintage engagement ring: “I had no input. We’d been kind of talking about [getting engaged], and I saw something like it online at one point and thought it was really pretty, but I usually wear rose gold. I just love that it’s old and has a story. And I’m happy because it doesn’t look like anything else I wear.”
