Red Carpet Fashion Awards

The gorgeous Blake Lively shows just how beautiful she is on the cover of the July 2011 issue of Glamour US wearing Michael Kors Fall 2011 look.

The actress was interviewed by BFF Florence Welch who got Blake to opened up about prepping for red carpet events and her penchant to play darker roles.

Her stunning editorial sees her wearing Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, Stella McCartney, Marc by Marc Jacobs and many more designers shot by Terry Tsiolis.

You can read the full interview at Glamour.com, but here are some extracts.

On twitter: “People ask me why I don’t tweet. Honestly, I’m so sick of myself.”

On becoming the new face of Chanel’s Mademoiselle handbag: “It’s such an honor. When I found out I got [the job], you and I went to dinner and concocted this plan, like two little girls at a tea party, saying, “Oh, it would be the best if we had a party. And you’ll perform, and we’ll do it in Paris.” Like you and I were in charge of Chanel!”

On being her own stylist: “I think I became my own stylist by not knowing any better. And once I was told it was time to get one, I thought: This is one of my favorite hobbies! And I’m going to pay someone to steal my hobby from me? That’s a terrible idea!” Read more…

Ashley Greene joined Emma Stone and Freida Pinto on the red carpet for Louis Vuitton’s celebration of their May 2011 Glamour magazine covers.

The “Twilight” actress opted for a mixture of seasons wearing a Louis Vuitton Resort 2011 pussy bow blouse, worn under a black cropped LV cardi which she paired with Louis Vuitton leather treggings.

She accessorized her look with a Louis Vuitton sparking multi-coloured clutch from the Spring 2011 collection and Cartier jewels.

I love that all 3 girls opted for very different looks, but Ashley is the only one not really owning her look.

It’s a chic sophisticated look which doesn’t fit the typical Hollywood mold, but she’s totally lifeless – and not for the first time.

Freida Pinto has been super busy since appearing in “Slumdog Millionaire.”

Instead of turning up to an opening of an envelope, she’s been working on many movie projects including “Miral,” “Immortals” and “Rise Of The Apes.”

Last night she made a long awaited return to the red carpet at Glamour magazine’s May 2011 cover girl’s party hosted by Louis Vuitton in LA.

The Indian beauty becomes the first star to wear a look from the Louis Vuitton Fall 2011 collection.

I love this playsuit on Freida because it’s an unpredictable choice and it’s the last piece I would’ve picked for her, but she just about manages to pull it off.

My do however wish she had worn something more summery like Emma Stone.

Freida completed her look with an updo, black Dana Davis peep-toes and a Louis Vuitton Sofia Coppola clutch.

Last night Louis Vuitton hosted a party to celebrate Glamour magazine’s three cover girls who grace their May 2011 issue.

Emma Stone arrived looking ethereal wearing a Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2011 dress.

The empire-waist dress is accented with bronze embellishment, so I’m glad she didn’t add any additional jewels.

Emma accessorized with Christian Louboutin Banana tie dye peep toes and a Louis Vuitton striped clutch from the Resort 2011 collection.

Curly blonde hair and pink lips completed her look.

Kate Winslet graced the cover of the April 2011 edition of US Glamour magazine wearing a Hervé Léger by Max Azria dress with rose gold Van Cleef & Arpels earrings.

She was named one of the magazine’s 50 Most Glam along with other stars Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, and Gwyneth Paltrow. To see the full list of the 50 Most Glam click here.

Photographed in New York City by Matthias Vriens-McGrath, Kate also wears a black Victoria Beckham dress and a dramatic Sophie Theallet dress.

In the magazine Kate talks about her Academy Award win, motherhood, plastic surgery and more in the issue.

On choosing to play the roles of angst-ridden women:
“It’s my chance to challenge myself to the fullest, which is one of the great joys about this job…. I love it when a character requires me to look less than my red-carpet best. It’s more fun playing a character that requires you to look like dog s–t.” Read more…

My best dressed star of last week, Diane Kruger is the cover girl for the March 2011 edition of Glamour US.

Her editorial shot by Ellen von Unwerth sees her in a more relaxed vibe sporting a faux hawk and wearing looks from Balmain, Isabel Marant, Band of Outsiders, Giambattista Valli, Stella McCartney, Theyskens’ Theory and of course there is some Chanel in there too.

In her interview she discuss her views on marriage, saying that her past experiences have taught her that tying the knot isn’t in her future – bad news for Joshua Jackson.

She also talks about her love of fashion and her biggest fashion splurge.

The issue is available on newsstands and digitally (iPad, iPhone, iTouch and the Barnes & Noble Nook Color) February 8.

Here are some extracts:

On her love of fashion: “I truly, genuinely like clothes. Making them is an art form, and wearing them is a form of self-expression. I find it very emotional because I can remember moments in my life—my mood, how I felt—through these clothes.” Read more…
