Zoe Saldana In Lanvin – The Weinstein Company Party

Zoe Saldana made her first appearance in Cannes yesterday evening for The Weinstein Company Party hosted by Lexus and Chopard at Baoli Beach.

You slated her last frock, so I’m intrigued to know how you feel about her Lanvin Fall 2013 number.

The slate-grey dress with a high-low hemline and sweeping train was styled with a David Yurman diamond-encrusted bracelet and sexy Gucci sandals.

While J-Lo was giving in-your-face sexy at the Billboard Awards last night, Zoe is also oozing sex appeal, but in a much more subtle way.

The minimalist trend continues. Are you a fan?

Zhang Yuqi In Roberto Cavalli & Monique Lhuillier – Cannes Film Festival Premieres

Zhang Yuqi had another busy night during Cannes Film Festival, giving us two more great looks; both were strapless.

‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ Premiere: Early in the evening, she donned a heavenly Roberto Cavalli white mermaid gown featuring a tiered train and fitted bodice. Sweeping her hair to one side, she completed her look with a gold Sergio Rossi clutch and diamond bracelet.

‘Blind Detective’ Premiere: Later that same evening, the Asian beauty, who is fast becoming my favourite newcomer at this event, wore a Monique Lhuillier gown from the designer’s Resort 2013 collection. The strapless gown has that distinctive print we’ve seen worn by Blake Lively and Naomie Harris. On this occasion she braided her glossy tresses, opting to go hands free and styling her look with dangling gold earrings.

The Cavalli is my favourite here. It’s always a delight to see Cavalli Cannes gowns on the red carpet.

Rachel Bilson In Dolce & Gabbana – Glacier Films Launch Party

Rachel Bilson attended the Glacier Films launch party aboard the Yacht Harle during Cannes Film Festival yesterday evening.

Judging by her look, I’m guessing it was a low-key affair.

The actress wore a boucle Dolce & Gabbana three-quarter-sleeve A-line frock with frayed edges and patch-pocket detailing.

Despite the fact that it has been raining constantly in Cannes, I wish Rachel hadn’t worn the tights as they weigh down her look.

The fresh-faced beauty completed her look with ShoeMint taupe ankle-strap pumps and a Chanel bag.

‘The Cannes Diaries’ with shoescribe.com

My best dressed from Day 5 of Cannes Film Festival in association with shoecribe.com were Nicole Kidman in L’Wren Scott and Carey Mulligan in Vionnet.

Nicole inspired this Sergio Rossi tri-colour sandal selection because, like her look, these sandals are classic with a contemporary edge, colourful and bold.

I selected a pair of Bally pumps inspired by Carey’s Vionnet gown because they are simple, easy to slip on, elegant and fitting for the black-and-white colour combination.

Celine Dion In Atelier Versace & Madonna In Givenchy Couture – 2013 Billboard Awards

Neither Celine Dion nor Madonna took to the red carpet for the 2013 Billboard Awards; however, both were spotted in the press room following their presenting duties.

Celine Dion: The 45-year-old legendary singer surprised me by wearing a knee-length Atelier Versace Spring 2013 dress. Usually she either wears mini dresses or gowns. It’s rare to see her wearing something in between. Her gold lamé fitted dress with gold metallic inserts was styled with metallic-gold pumps and a gold necklace. I am not a fan of the colour or this length on Celine.

Madonna: While we should be surprised to see a 54-year-old woman wearing a fishnet dress over stockings and suspenders, this is Madonna and the ability for her to shock us ended a long time ago. The rest of her Givenchy custom-made Couture look consisted of a texturized, cropped, and fur-collared bomber jacket and a grommet-embellished wide belt. The most I can say about this get up is: at least she has the figure to wear it.
