Quick Explanation

On Tuesday 14th March I travelled to Sierra Leone in West Africa for the funeral of my late father.

As WIFI and electricity is not 100% reliable there Rachel, Chelsey and Binkie looked after the site in my absence.

I understand some of you were frustrated that the site was often updated late in the day and that some posts were missing, but unlike me who works on the site full-time, those ladies have full-time jobs so they were updating when they could.

With regards to the poll, as I had to leave suddenly, I didn’t have a to chance to instruct anyone on how to do this and it’s quite a long procedure. The BDOTW poll will feature both weeks.

Thanks for your continued support and comments which keeps the site alive.

‘Power Rangers’ LA Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

There were a host of starlets who joined Elizabeth Banks and Naomi Scott on the red carpet for the ‘Power premiere in LA last night (March 22).

Christina Milian: The actress was almost unrecognisable in her new Freedom Couture ice-blonde wig. Her burnt orange Victoria Beckham ribbed knit midi dress and Gianvito Rossi heels did fare well, but 21HM body chain took this down a tacky route.

Chloe Lukasiak: The young dancer/actress wore a fun, fresh look which included a Milly Spring 2017 bow bustier and Alexis slit trousers.

Skai Jackson: Skai’s custom look from John Paul Ataker styled with a Kate Spade New York Disney Miss Piggy Collection ‘Who Moi’ clutch ensures she stays firmly on my one-to-watch list. This was my second favourite look from this event.

Allison Williams In Sally LaPointe – The Late Late Show with James Corden

Allison Williams made a guest appearance on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ on Tuesday (March 21), where she continued to promote the final season of ‘Girls’.

The actress wore her second look from the Sally LaPointe Pre-Fall 2017 collection, donning a white dress which encapsulates the new season’s effortless take on evening elegance.

A flash of skin adds a sensual touch to this dress which is cut on the bias for flowing movement.

The look was complete with nude Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ pumps.

Elizabeth Banks In Self-Portrait & Zuhair Murad Couture – Hollywood Walk of Fame for Haim Saban & ‘Power Rangers’ LA Premiere

Elizabeth Banks joined Naomi Scott for the promo tour for ‘Power Rangers’ starting with the Star Ceremony on The Hollywood Walk Of Fame honoring Haim Saban, before last night’s premiere in LA.

Star Ceremony on The Hollywood Walk Of Fame Honoring Haim Saban: Self-Portrait’s charming feminine aesthetic was on full display in this Spring 2017 striped dress. I love how the asymmetric ruffles and off center placket add some contemporary appeal, however, I’m not a fan of the side-tie detail of her Stella Luna ‘Carioca’ white sandals.

‘Power Rangers’ LA Premiere: Why do I love Elizabeth’s Zuhair Murad Spring 2017 Couture look? 1. For its vibrant blue hue. 2. The shimmer from the beaded embellishments and 3. The 80s retro appeal. Charlotte Olympia platform shoes don’t really appeal, but the rest of the styling including an Edie Parker clutch added the final touch to this solid look.

Scarlett Johansson In Azzedine Alaïa – ‘Ghost In The Shell’ Paris Premiere

Scarlett Johansson joined Juliette Binoche and Adwoa Aboah for the Paris Premiere ‘Ghost In The Shell’ at Le Grand Rex on Tuesday (March 21) in France.

While she took the safe passage for the Seoul premiere, this Azzedine Alaïa Fall 2016 look will join her list of wow moments; mostly for the unexpected nature.

Striking, dynamic, rich in texture and full of intrigue, I love how the Alaïa booties and smouldering eye makeup further emboldens this look.

Fan Bingbing In Elie Saab Couture – 11th Asian Film Awards

Fan Bingbing picked up the Best Actress award for ‘I Am Not Madame Bovary’ at the 11th Asian Film Awards on Tuesday (March 21) in Hong Kong, China.

I would’ve expected a princess gown for such an occasion, but she decided to go down a different route while still relying on Elie Saab.

Aside from the pleated front which creates a contemporary silhouette for this jumpsuit, I love how the dramatic train adds distinguishable definition to this piece.

Unfortunately Bingbing’s accessories didn’t work for me. A silver clutch to compliment the embroidered bodice and shoes without embellishment would’ve been preferred.

‘The Blackcoat’s Daughter’ New York Screening

Emma Roberts, Kiernan Shipka, and Lucy Boynton attended a screening of ‘The Blackcoat’s Daughter’ on Wednesday (March 22) in New York City.

Emma Roberts: While her Chloé Fall 2017 dress represents the brand bohemian spirit well, it didn’t work for me on Emma. The colour is lovely, but I’m not a fan of the heavy accessories here.

Kiernan Shipka: The actress fared much better in her Rosie Assoulin Fall 2017 dress which is defined by its classic femininity and lightness. Richly embroidered with colourful floral motifs, it may appear sheer, but manages to be fully lined without taking away from the delicacy of the design. The look was styled with Nicholas Kirkwood rose-gold ‘Rosing’ pumps. As always she was a perfect 10.

Lucy Boynton: Unlike Emma and Kiernan, Lucy is the new kid on the block. Taken under the wing by Prada, this soft pink look has me yearning for a removal of the coat to see her printed outfit beneath.
