BFI Luminous Fundraising Gala

BFI Luminous Fundraising Gala

British stars were out in force for the BFI Luminous Fundraising Gala at The Guildhall on Tuesday (October 6) in London, England, ahead of tonight’s opening of the London Film Festival.

Erin O’Conner: I have been obsessed with this Erdem Fall 2015 dress ever since I saw it on the runway, and I’m even more smitten with it now upon seeing it on the model. I love how this stunning design fuses a sophisticated black woollen sweater with a luxe vibrant purple embroidered and feather-trimmed organza skirt with show-stopping results. Simple accessories and a magenta lip completed this eye-catching look.

Jenna Coleman: As always these was a hint of vintage flare to Jenna’s red carpet look. The shimmering Lanvin Fall 2015 look with autumnal hues couldn’t have been a more perfect pick for the current season.

Rose Leslie: Despite my love for Erin’s look, Rosie blew me away in her Temperley London Pre Fall 2015 gown as I was captivated by the Chinese-inspired floral print. The Christian Louboutin ‘Loubibow’ clutch could’ve been smaller, but it takes nothing away from this gorgeous look.

Chanel Spring 2016 Front Row

Chanel Spring 2016 Front Row

Chanel presented their Spring 2016 collection during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday (October 6) in Paris, France.

Kaya Scodelario: Following her Chanel disaster at the ‘Maze Runner: Scorch’ premiere recently, the brand offered her a sweet, less complicated piece from the Resort 2016 collection. Ankles up she fared much better.

Maria Sharapova: While I have no complaints about the cosy knit Chanel Fall 2015 dress, the styling is a horrendous.

Janelle Monae: Thank god for Janelle, who was serving up totally class and elegance in the front row wearing a look from the Fall 2015 collection. I’m glad Kaya was on hand to witness this first hand, because this is how you style and master and Chanel look. BDOTW-worthy.

An Evening with Kate Winslet was hosted at Stanley Kaplan Penthouse during the 2015 New York Film Festival on Tuesday (October 6).

Following her Valentino dress, the actress went back to basics wearing a simple black fitted Tom Ford dress.

Déjà vu, groundhog day; call it what you will, like I said before I’ll take this over that twee Valentino dress any day.

Kate Bosworth attended the MICOM Pre-Opening screening of ‘The Art of More’ on Sunday (October 4) in Cannes, France.

You may have noticed that I’ve developed a crush on Kate’s style of late and this Carolina Herrera Spring 2016 leather strapless top and tea- length skirt only enhances the love.

While I’m curious as to why Kate wore the skirt back to front, I’m still mesmerized by the refreshing with peony pink colour and well thought-out design.

Elegantly styled with Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Origami Bow’ pumps, Maxior rose gold diamond jewels and a gold clutch, that hot pink lip tops things off nicely.

Get The Look: Lady Gaga’s ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ Countess Look

gagaCelebrity makeup artist Sarah Tanno worked with Lady Gaga for the premiere of ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ on Saturday (October 3) in Los Angeles.

Here’s how to get the look.

Sarah started by bleaching her natural brows and used Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel to brush them up and keep in place.

For her skin, Sarah wanted a soft, velvety glow so she used Armani Maestro Foundation and Luminous Silk Powder only on the T-zone.

One of Sarah’s go to products is Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate to contour and highlight the skin. It’s a cream which she loves because it keeps the skin so smooth. Armani Fluid Sheer in #8 blush was then applied.

To get the Countess shaded winged eye, Sarah used Armani Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in #2 only on the outer half of the lash line (top and bottom) and blended up into a wing shape.

She sculpted the inside of the eye with Bobbi Brown’s Eye Shadow in Warm Taupe; adding Lilly Lashes in Miami and Sisley Mascara to create an old Hollywood feel.

Sarah finished off Gaga’s eyes with a touch of gloss at the center of the lid.

Gaga’s timeless red pout was created using M.A.C. Cherry liner with Bésame Red Hot Red Lipstick.
