Channeling Spring’s Fresh Take on Girly Gingham

Fashion thrives off juxtapositions and for spring designers did the unthinkable by taking gingham—a notoriously preppy print—and flipping it on its head.

The clothes were a sight to see as Peter Pilotto, House of Holland and Molly Goddard sent the runways ablaze with models flanking the catwalk in edgy renditions of the print. Neck scarves in bright hues, patchwork cropped jackets, kaleidoscope dresses and minimalist styles were hard to miss.

The new and improved print is no longer meant for the countryside—but instead has been injected with a dose of cool girl panache. Take your style to new heights and venture outside the confines of standard seasonal prints by embracing the checkered style as we show you the freshest way to sport gingham.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Not only have the men been making the rounds on the red carpet at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival over the last few days, some have also not been in France whilst attending to other premieres and events.

Chris Pine: At the ‘Wonder Woman’ LA premiere, Chris dressed to impress in a hyper-traditional Giorgio Armani Made to Measure three-piece suit complete with a pocket watch chain.

Harry Styles: With a distinct nod to retro style, Harry had a throwback moment in a custom Gucci embroidered suit prior to his performance at The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood. I actually love the casual ’70s flair of the look.

Will Smith
: Sleekly buttoned up, Will did the double-breasted suit thing in top form at the ‘Ismael’s Ghosts’ Cannes premiere.

Diane Kruger In BOSS – ‘In The Fade (Aus Dem Nichts)’ Cannes Photocall

It would seem that some of you were disappointed with Diane Kruger’s amfAR look, so you will be hoping that today’s (May 26) ‘In The Fade (Aus Dem Nichts)’ promotions during Cannes Film Festival will see the German actress on top form.

Well, she started off well donning a BOSS Fall 2017 dress featuring a daring cut-out which lends a touch of sartorial sass to the girlie silhouette.

The studded Self-Portrait x Robert Clergerie ‘Leyla’ suede sandals brings an edge to the look with the hair and makeup possessing a carefree spirit.

Get Kendall Jenner’s Street Sleek Look

As a resident fashion chameleon Kendall Jenner is constantly shifting her style at a moment’s notice. Her latest model-off-duty look was yet another eye-catcher as she hit the streets in a punk rock Enfant Riches Deprimes tee, Alyx pink frayed jeans and white heeled booties.

To cap off the look she accessorized with Roberi & Fraud Betty sunnies, a coveted Gucci leather beret and a Louis Vuitton mini Speedy handbag.

Being the fashion-forward model she is, Kendall stepped out in a leather beret, an Enfant Riches tee, pale pink jeans, white boots and oval sunglasses.

Annabelle Wallis In Miu Miu – ‘The Mummy’ Taiwan Premiere

Annabelle Wallis joined Sofia Boutella for the Taiwan premiere of ‘The Mummy’ on Thursday (May 25) in China.

Like Sofia, Annabelle didn’t need to add too many jewels to her Miu Miu gown as the lavish detail on her pretty frock was eye-catching enough.

I love the rich hue which the British actress continues to deliver on this promo tour, plus the overall glam factor which was severely lacking from yesterdays amfAR gala.

The look was enhanced with a flame-red pout and Cesare Paciotti heels.

Sofia Boutella In Prada – ‘The Mummy’ Taiwan Premiere

From Sydney, the cast of ‘The Mummy’ headed to Taiwan, China on Thursday (May 25) for the films premiere.

Sofia Boutella was showcasing her softer side one again wearing a pretty lemon-hued gown from Prada.

Yes, Prada.

This is proof once again that when the mood takes them, the Italian brand can make some stunning red carpet gowns.

What I love most here is the romantic mood and the delicate floral embellished straps which drape elegantly down her back.
