Maggie Gyllenhaal In Ryan Roche & The Vampire’s Wife – ‘The Kindergarten Teacher’ Sundance Film Festival Premiere & Cocktail Party

Maggie Gyllenhaal has also been at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, attending the premiere of ‘The Kindergarten Teacher’ on Friday (January 19) before a cocktail party hosted in her honour as independent film advisor for Autograph Collection Hotel’s Indie Film Project on Saturday (January 20).

Premiere: Winter whites can be so beautiful, but the execution must be impeccable with this hue that doesn’t hide anything. Unfortunately, that wasn’t exactly the case here, as I feel the look lacked polish in fit and tailoring.

Cocktail Party: The Vampire’s Wife is a label well-suited to Maggie’s particular brand of girly, boho-romantic charm. That aesthetic came through in this ruffle dress, even if the top half seemed a bit snug.

Rita Ora In Alexandre Vauthier Couture – Kilian Party

Rita Ora was the lady in red at the Kilian party, hosted in conjunction with Paris Fashion Week on Sunday (January 21).

She made a case for the sizzling shade in not one, but two Alexandre Vauthier numbers.

Firstly, she took to the red carpet in a Pre-Fall 2018 textural, shiny frock that had sass in spades—especially with her bold lip.

I’m glad she saved the Spring 2016 Couture patent leather jumpsuit for the stage, though, as it was such a feisty piece—even with the zippered saddlebags at each side.

Bella Hadid In Ralph Lauren – Out In Paris

After an appearance at the Dior Homme show over the weekend, Bella Hadid was again seen out in Paris on Monday (January 22).

I was getting a strong Matrix vibe with her latest look that brought her particular brand of badass flair to the rainy streets of the city.

Although she wore a Prada Spring 2018 printed dress, it was really the power of the Ralph Lauren Collection Fall 2017 black liquid lamé trench dress that commanded the ensemble.

That, and the lace-up ankle boots.

What do you make of it?

Front Row @ Christian Dior Spring 2018 Couture

A couple of days after the Dior Homme show, more Dior-clad darlings descended on the Rodin Museum for the fashion house’s runway show, the first big one of Paris haute couture week on Monday (January 22).

Emily Blunt: Sleekly elegant styling was the only way to go for this ornately printed Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2018 frock, and Emily complied.

Annabelle Wallis: Statement shirts continue to be a relevant trend, and Annabelle’s fit the bill. I like how she styled it with the graphic jacket (which coincidentally reflected the show’s checquerboard set), high-waist, cropped trousers, and hat for a slice of Parisian rebel-chic.

Willow Smith: Perhaps taking a cue from the surrealist mood of the show in her white eye makeup, Willow offered a more girly perspective than we would expect from her urban-cool style in this sheer tulle gown juxtaposed with a tuxedo vest.

2018 SAG Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Many of the fellows at the 2018 SAG Awards weren’t content to just wear the standard black tux, making for quite the scene-stealing list of looks on Sunday (January 21) in LA.

Noah Schnapp: The young ‘Stranger Things’ star continued to win my affection with a lesson in all that is dapper in his custom-made velvet tuxedo by Stella McCartney paired with Jésù-SégunLondon slipper-style shoes, a Brackish bowtie, and Mrs Bow Tie pocket square. What a charmer.

Sterling K. Brown:
The ‘This Is Us’ star won the best actor award, and his look was equally stellar in this Giorgio Armani tuxedo styled with a Chopard timepiece and cufflinks. This was a lesson in the appeal of classic style with a modern twist thanks to the shades and the slim-line, slightly cropped proportions.

Dacre Montgomery:
I liked this Giorgio Armani ensemble for its unorthodox twist on the traditional tux in the chocolate-brown hue and exaggerated shawl label. Wearing his dress shirt unbuttoned at the top added a rebellious flavour that actually echoed his ‘Stranger Things’ character quite well. Montblanc cufflinks completed the look.

2018 SAG Awards Red Carpet Roundup

We always do our best to cover everyone, but a few slip through the net. Here is our final sweep of the red carpet for the 2018 SAG Awards.

Kate Nash: My first reaction to Kate in this Bora Aksu dress was, “yikes”, followed by “what on earth possessed you?” Too many frills, too prairie and too much going on; especially from the waist down. This was easily my least favourite of the night.

Niecy Nash: The actress, who was one of the presenters on the night, wore a gorgeous green-hued Julea Domani gown. As always Niecy leaves me spellbound, as she consistently picks the right looks to enhance her gorgeous figure.
