Carice van Houten In Christian Dior – European Film Awards 2013

Carice van Houten In Christian Dior - European Film Awards 2013

Carice van Houten continued her love for all things Dior when joining Noomi Rapace and Diane Kruger on the red carpet at the European Film Awards 2013 in Berlin, Germany on Saturday.

The Dutch actress wore a pretty pink bustier with a black bell-shaped skirt from Dior’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection which we’ve already seen multiple times – mostly in orange.

Styling, as we all know, can make or break a look. The dual-colour pink-and-orange Dior pumps couldn’t be more perfect for this look, but the head scratcher lies at the fingerless leather gloves.

With so much good going on here, I have to wonder what possessed her to wear those gloves.

Gabrielle Union In Rachel Zoe – ‘Being Mary Jane’ Art Basel Celebration

Gabrielle Union In Rachel Zoe - 'Being Mary Jane' Art Basel Celebration

Gabrielle Union attended BET’s ‘Being Mary Jane’ Art Basel Celebration held at Mokai Lounge in Miami Beach, Florida.

The actress wore a Rachel Zoe ‘The Leigh’ dress, which hails from the designer/stylist’s Spring 2014 collection.

Her weather-appropriate mint-green look with cut-out details at the side and a flared skirt was styled with Jimmy Choo ‘Fauna’ lace open-toe booties in a taupe hue.

Does this flirty summery frock have you longing for hazy sunny days or, like me, are you wishing for some cute Sophia Webster heels with this frock?

You can buy Gabrielle’s Jimmy Choo ‘Fauna’ Lace Open-Toe Booties from Neiman Marcus.

Lady Gaga In Vera Wang – Out In London

Lady Gaga In Vera Wang - Out In London

Following her performance at the Jingle Bell Ball in London on Saturday, Lady Gaga was spotted headed back to her hotel.

She of course changed into a different look, wearing a custom Vera Wang structured vermilion-red cocoon romper with an exaggerated neckline, cap sleeves and tiered shorts accented by a vermillion karate sash.

Embracing the festive season as only Lady Gaga can, the singer donned a real Christmas-tree headpiece complete with colourful baubles and a gold star perched on top.

Once again, she donned those impossible-to-walk-in platform heels, swapping blonde dreadlocks for a green wig.

Take the Christmas tree out of the shot and I’m totally in awe of the craftsmanship of this Vera Wang piece.

Evangeline Lilly In Alberta Ferretti – ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug’ Berlin Premiere

Evangeline Lilly In Alberta Ferretti - 'The Hobbit The Desolation Of Smaug' Berlin Premiere

Evangeline Lilly attended the Berlin premiere of the film ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug’ (Der Hobbit: Smaugs Einöde) held at the Sony Center in Germany yesterday evening.

The actress made yet another spectacular choice, selecting an Alberta Ferretti Fall 2013 silk-tulle gown featuring full-length lace sleeves, asymmetrical gathered panels, and a tiered tulle skirt which was accented with a velvet waistband.

At first I was missing a sparkling clutch, but her stud earrings and gold bracelet, plus the red nails, are subtle touches which complement and enhance her beautiful gown.

Is something missing or did Evangeline present this gown perfectly for you?

Who Wore Giulietta Better…Debby Ryan or Anna Faris?

Who Wore Giulietta Better Debby Ryan or Anna Faris

Debby Ryan wore a robin’s egg blue Giulietta Spring 2013 dress to the Los Angeles Film Festival premiere of ‘The Way, Way Back’ in June.

Anna Faris wore a simplified version to People’s ‘Ones To Watch’ party in October. She styled the look with snooze-worthy pumps and a black clutch.

I wasn’t in love with Debby’s clutch choice, but her matching Giulietta wedges win the look for me.

Nicole Richie In Emanuel Ungaro – Curiosity Opening Dinner

Nicole Richie In Emanuel Ungaro - Curiosity Opening Dinner

Following her shopping outfit from earlier in the day, Nicole Richie was spotted at the Curiosity Opening Dinner presented by Audemars Piguet and Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin in Miami, Florida on Thursday evening.

The designer knocked it out of the fashion ballpark again wearing a sexy, chic Emanuel Ungaro Fall 2013 polka dot turtleneck top and a black wrap skirt, styled with those timeless Balenciga dual-colour pumps from the Fall 2008 collection.

I love that each outing of hers makes a huge statement without being over the top or too in-your-face. I’m always keen to see what she wears next.

09.12.13 Menswear, Screening

Menswear Roundup

Menswear roundup 9 decemberAn eclectic mix of men took to the red carpet today and over the weekend, where their looks ranged from regal to, well, a bit more wild. The unifying factor? All the guys worked some degree of facial scruff.

James McAvoy: To accept his ‘Best Actor’ Award at the 2013 British Independent Film Awards on Sunday in London, James wore a brown plaid Burberry suit, complemented by a baby-blue button-down shirt and brown silk tie. The tailoring could have been better, as the pants fell a bit long.

Adam Lambert: Always the sartorial show-off, the singer put his own flair on Sunday’s 15th annual Trevor Project Benefit, honouring Jane Lynch, in Hollywood, California. There was no missing his mulberry suit, swirled in an artsy, leafy abstracted pattern, which he paired with a charcoal-grey shirt. The heavy black loafers were a clunky contrast.

Christian Bale: Joining Bradley Cooper at the ‘American Hustle’ New York screening on Sunday, the actor walked on the dark side. He took a monochromatic, all-black approach in a Gucci notch-lapel, two button Brera suit, paired with a black dress shirt and black leather lace-up shoes.
