Alessandra Ambrosio took to the red carpet at the 2014 Venice Film Festival for the ‘La Rancon De La Gloire’ premiere in Venice, Italy on Thursday (August 28).
The supermodel strutted out a cherry-hued Alberta Ferretti high-low gown that carried with it some element of laidback grace, elevated by a sparkling Chopard collar necklace.
The Brazilian stunner can work any ensemble to her advantage, but this one didn’t necessarily lend many favours with its folded, flattened bodice.
The rich colour had me at hello; but I could have easily said goodbye to the silhouette, fabrication and those Salvatore Ferragamo black pumps.
The Chinese actress wore a Blumarine Spring 2014 nude sheer gown with white floral embroidery, which has been previously worn by Kacy Musgraves, Bella Thorne and Kimberley Walsh.
Unfortunately, the fourth run of the dress is my least favourite. The underlying corseted bodice is cutting an uncomfortably tight profile, and the platform pumps more or less defeat the purpose of this diaphanous, delicate creation.
I’m also still trying to understand why she opted to wear a necklace with this dress, as it only served to distract from the illusion detail—as did the visible tattoo on her arm.
Élodie Bouchez was in attendance at the 2014 Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Thursday (August 28) in support of her film, ‘Reality.’
Opting to skip the wardrobe change, she donned the same dress for the photo call and the premiere. Her Saint Laurent cap-sleeve frock featured an ornate, tapestry-inspired print with a metallic sheen alongside an embellished collar.
She matched the dress to golden wedge heels, wearing her brunette locks in casual waves.
Perhaps she selected the short trapeze dress for its ability to more or less adapt to both her appearances.
But for me, there was too much reality in this look and not enough fashion fantasy, especially not for a premiere.
The look was styled with an ivory M2Malletier clutch.

After gracing the red carpet for the 2014 Venice Film Festival opening ceremony, Zhao Wei was back in front of the camera for the ‘Dearest’ Venice Film Festival photocall on Thursday (August 28) in Venice, Italy.
The Chinese actress wore a Christopher Kane Fall 2014 nylon and guipure lace top paired with the matching lace mini-skirt.
This was a pretty-in-pink look, but didn’t come without a bit of tough, rebel edge thanks to the black accent and sheer detailing.
The styling fell short of tying the look together, though. Jennifer Fisher earrings and a Tiffany & Co. T collection ring were lovely enough, but the timepiece and bangles weren’t as well suited for this artsier lace ensemble. Nor were the white pumps.

Olivia Palermo is in Sydney, Australia fulfilling her ambassadorial role for Chadstone’s Icons Of Style campaign, where she is set to share her style secrets during her trip Down Under.
While headed to the launch event she was spotted look oh-so-very chic wearing a Burberry Prorsum Fall 2014 ensemble which featured a long-sleeved hand-printed floral- and leaf-print ankle-length dress styled the same way as we saw it on the runway, with a graphic-print scarf belted around the waist.
The rest of her styling was her own, with a yellow statement clutch and Aquazzura shoes.
While the shoes are not from her Aquazzura x Olivia Palermo collaboration, you can buy the pieces exclusively from Net-A-Porter.com.
You may remember that Maggie Gyllenhaal wore this same dress sans scarf earlier this year.
