Anna Dello Russo In Balenciaga – amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Anna Dello Russo added some life to the red carpet at amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France on Thursday evening.

The Vogue editor-at-large was one of the few bright sparks on this red carpet, opting for a flamenco style Balenciaga Spring 2013 look which showed off her yoga toned bod to perfection.

We’ve seen this style twice before on the red carpet, but this is the first time it has been worn with conviction.

A Bulgari clutch and jewels completed her look.

Kylie Mingoue In Roberto Cavalli – amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Kylie Mingoue was also part of Roberto Cavalli’s entourage for the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France on Thursday evening.

Having partied on the designer’s boat Wednesday night, the Australian singer selected a classic Cavalli gown with a plunging neckline, thigh-high slit, embellishments and cut-out details.

Same tried and tested formula, yet, before us lays a totally different gown.

Gold accessories including Chopard jewels completed her look.

Zhang Ziyi In Giambattista Valli Couture – amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Zhang Ziyi took to the red carpet again this evening for the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France.

She wore a Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Couture zebra print dress with a tulle black skirt draping from the peplum-like detail.

I was trying to figure out what was bothering me about the look — then I realised it was the skirt.

The black tulle skirt was equally distributed on the runway, but stops short at the front on Zhang, losing some of the allure of the runway piece as Zhang’s resembles a mullet dress.

Mouawad fine jewelery, Ferragamo black peep-toes with gold piping and a black clutch completed her look.

Paz Vega In Vionnet – amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Paz Vega kept it simple this evening for the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France on Thursday evening..

The Spanish beauty wore a Vionnet Spring 2013 black jersey spaghetti strap dress which featured a deep plunging neckline.

I was really expecting a major comeback look tonight, but this dress isn’t really speaking to me like so many of her other looks in the past. It’s sad to say, but this look is easily forgettable.

The heavy eye makeup and red lip colour also feel too harsh.

Dita von Teese In Ulyana Sergeenko Couture – amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

After a flirtation with two back-to-back red looks, it was back to black for Dita von Teese who attended the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France on Thursday evening.

The burlesque star wore a black velvet Ulyana Sergeenko Couture gown.

This gown, with a nipped in waist and voluminous skirt, has a vintage vibe which no doubt instantly spoke to Dita; however, I wish the gown was sleeveless.

Pearl accented Chopard earrings and black satin-peep-toes completed her look.

Heidi Klum In Marchesa – amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Heidi Klum made a quick dash from the Cannes red carpet, to the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France this evening, as she does every year.

What is also customary is that she wears a Marchesa gown for the occasion. This is one of the few Cannes traditions that hasn’t been broken this year.

She wore a Marchesa Spring 2013 strapless white sheer and gold frock from the Bollywood inspired collection.

This look is even less favourable than the last. I would’ve preferred this look had she kept the original length.

Had she not worn the previous tight fitted look, I would be tempted to ask how far along is she.
