Sofia Vergara In Zuhair Murad – ‘Machete Kills’ LA Premiere

Sofia Vergara In Zuhair Murad - 'Machete Kills' LA Premiere

Sofia Vergara left her ‘Modern Family’ at home and attended the Los Angeles premiere of her new action-thriller film, ‘Machete Kills,’ at the Regal Cinemas L.A. Live in California yesterday.

The Latina lovely thrilled in a Zuhair Murad Resort 2014 gown, which was remarkably not a sexy mermaid silhouette. Instead, the sparkling, black embroidered gown packed more subtle, sensual appeal with the leg-revealing, sheer chiffon skirt.

Dazzling door-knocker cocktail rings and generous earrings, all from designer David Webb’s jewel box, added more flair along with a Ferragamo embellished clutch.

Of course, the bombshell waves and sultry cat-eye makeup were presented and accounted for.

Killer look?

Eva Longoria In Zuhair Murad – 2013 NCLR ALMA Awards

Eva Longoria In Zuhair Murad - 2013 NCLR ALMA Awards

Before hitting the 2013 NCLA ALMA Awards stage for her co-hosting duties with Mario Lopez, Eva Longoria made her red-carpet entrance yesterday evening at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California.

Playing the ultimate lady in red, the actress sizzled in a curve-hugging, crimson Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 leather- and lace-embellished gown, which I actually preferred from the back.

Even with the sheer detail, the front of the mock-turtleneck, long-sleeve dress could have easily overwhelmed this petite powerhouse, so I’m glad she swept her locks into a messy updo to go with her sultry, smokey eyes and nude pout.

Did you like her red-hot attempt, or was it another expected entrance from this Latina lovely?

Zhang Ziyi In Zuhair Murad Couture – Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis Ceremony

Zhang Ziyi In Zuhair Murad Couture - Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis Ceremony

Zhang Ziyi attended the opening night of the Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis at Qingdao Beer City on Sunday in Qingdao, China alongside Nicole Kidman and Kate Beckinsale.

She looked beautiful as always, wearing a Zuhair Murad Spring 2012 strapless ivory lace gown featuring an intricate overlay of black embroidered lace.

A decorative necklace and gold clutch styled her effortless look, with a simple bun providing the finishing touch.

Many of you have had much to say about Ziyi’s recent red carpet looks, so how does this look fare?

Zhang Yuqi In Zuhair Murad Couture – Cartier Collection Exhibition

Zhang Yuqi In Zuhair Murad Couture - Cartier Collection Exhibition

Zhang Yuqi attended the Cartier Collection exhibition held at the Liaoning Provincial Museum in China on Saturday evening.

The Asian beauty selected a Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 look which featured an embellished strapless cocktail dress with a collarless coat which also featured gold-embroidered details.

Once again, opting for these Saint Laurent ‘Tribtoo’ heels weighs down the look. The colour was the right choice, but the style wasn’t.

Concentrating on everything from the ankles up, she looked flawless, selecting a range of complementary Cartier Collection jewels with a soft-pink lip colour and a wavy half-up, half-down ‘do.

I’m glad she wore the coat as it gives the look a very elegant feel. Without it, it would’ve just been another strapless embellished cocktail dress.

Venice Film Festival Weekend Round Up

Venice Film Festival Weekend Round Up

Here is a quick roundup of some of the other looks which graced the red carpet during the 2013 Venice Film Festival this weekend.

Vanessa Hessler: The actress attended the ‘Premio Kineo’ red carpet event wearing a Zuhair Murad nude and black-netted gown which should be familiar to you. That’s because Lily Collins wore the shorter version of this dress last week during her promo tour. The dramatic piece was simply styled with complementary black accessories.

Anna Safroncik: The Ukrainian actress shimmered in an ocean-blue Alberta Ferretti Spring 2013 chiffon-and-lamé gown, with an illusion panel which doesn’t create much of an illusion around the neckline ruining the overall effect.

Maria Roveran: The actress could’ve worn just the LBD from Moga e Mago’s Fall 2013 collection but she saw the designers’ vision through by wearing the gold-studded leather sleeves, which she completed with a futuristic Kzeniya gold clutch.

Sophie Kennedy Clark: The Scottish actress gave this striped Stella McCartney jumpsuit its third red carpet outing following Jennifer Lawrence and Rila Fukushima. As this is her second Stella McCartney look of this festival, it appears she has a good relationship with the brand to have had a wide range of looks to select from, so with that in mind I’m a bit disappointed to see this look for a third time. On the plus side, she wore it better than Jennifer Lawrence with her styling. But Rila is still my overall favourite in this look, putting the ‘F’ into fierce.

Following her all black look at ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ Oslo photocall earlier on Friday, Lily Collins attended the premiere later that evening.

Part of the ceremony including her pushing her handprints into the fresh concrete outside the cinema in Fredrikstad, Norway.

She wore a long sleeve nude silk dress featuring a pattern of black beadwork with floral detail at the neck and hip from the Zuhair Murad Resort 2014 collection.

Black Louboutin pumps completed her look.

2013 Teen Choice Awards Red Carpet Round Up

Teen Choice Awards 1

Here is a roundup of the rest of the looks from the 2013 Teen Choice Awards.

Anna Camp: The blonde beauty wore an Emilio Pucci powder-blue sequinned long-sleeved dress with lace and point d’esprit inserts and an open back, which she styled with silver Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ pumps, vintage jewels, a Kotur clutch and a chic topknot. You may remember that Selena Gomez wore this in black back in March on Letterman.

Brittany Snow: Also working a lace frock, Brittany wore an Oliver Tolentino green floral lace dress with a nude underlay styled with Jimmy Choo ‘Vamp’ sandals, a coral Oroton clutch – which looks very heavy – and a matching lip colour, with a braided updo completing her look.

Joey King: The ‘White House Down’ actress opted for a pretty lime-green Moschino strapless printed dress with embellishments, styled with gold sandals and a subtle pendant necklace.

Jennifer Lopez In The Blonds & Zuhair Murad – 2013 Premios Juventud Awards

Jennifer Lopez In The Blonds & Zuhair Murad - 2013 Premios Juventud Awards

Jennifer Lopez turned up the heat in Miami with three sexy looks for the 2013 Premios Juventud Awards yesterday evening.

The singer opened the show wearing a sexy fiery-print bodysuit adorned with gold chains and a gold waistband, which was styled with flesh-coloured fishnet tights and nude lace-up shoes, when she performed a medley of her hits ‘On The Floor’, ‘Dance Again’ and ‘Don’t Stop the Party’ with frequent collaborator Pitbull. This is a classic JLo performance look: in your face, sexy and with very little fabric.

An emotional Jennifer collected two awards during the show, Icono Mundial (Icon Award) and Actriz Que se Roba la Pantalla (Actress Who Steals the Screen) award wearing a look by one of her favourite designers, Zuhair Murad. The gold sequin patterned dress from the Spring 2013 collection was styled with Giuseppe Zanotti silver metallic pumps. I wish she had opted for the gold pair.

For her second performance, Jennifer beat Kristen Stewart to the punch by wearing a look from Zuhair Murad’s Fall 2013 Couture collection. She donned a nude catsuit with black embroidery, which is once again a very typical JLo performance look; however, I wish she had worn her hair back with this look.

Nieves Alvarez Celebrates One Year of Solo Moda In Zuhair Murad & Oscar de la Renta

Solo Moda Zuhair Murad

Nieves Alvarez celebrated one year of ‘Solo Moda’ in high style, naturally. We would expect nothing less.

First adorning herself in three confections from Zuhair Murad’s Spring 2013 collection, the trendsetting show host was the epitome of glamour as she strutted out a range of looks, all paired with Christian Louboutin shoes and Carrera y Carrera jewels. Loose bombshell waves completed the effect.

From her glittering, gold one-shoulder gown that was both sophisticated and sultry, she moved on to a party-ready, siren-red frock with vampy black-patent heels.

The big finish was a slightly futuristic, metallic blue, pleated mermaid number that could have done without the pendant necklace.
