Red Carpet Fashion Awards

For the last few seasons I have been intrigued by the bearded dude I was always seeing around at fashion week.

My first thought was he must be a stylist, but Justin O’Shea is actually the Buying Director of MyTheresa.com.

They say don’t judge a book by its cover. The cover may say biker or rocker, but the man, who decides what we wear, is regarded as a fashion icon for his sharp, snazzy style. Read more…

Maggie Gyllenhaal joined co-star Viola Davis on the red carpet at the NYIT Auditorium in New York City, for the ‘Won’t Back Down’ screening on Friday evening.

The actress wore a Zero + Maria Cornejo Spring 2012 jumpsuit.

As someone who has a major obsession with jumpsuits, I’m loving this sleek navy wide leg pants jumper with its cross over v-neck and gathered waistband.

Maggie has a split personality on the red carpet, going from vivid Dries Van Noten prints to this sophisticated simple look which equally works in her favour.

I think I would’ve loved this look more without the taupe lace Moschino Cheap and Chic blazer, but the punchy pink lip colour keeps this look interesting.

Natural waves, statement earrings and taupe peep-toes completed her look.

It takes more than expensive clothes and the ability to put together a decent outfit to count yourself amongst the upper echelons of street style stars. And if you want to know how to earn that illustrious title for yourself, look no further than stylist and Tatler Russia fashion director Anya Ziourova.

Anya’s eye for colour and shape allows her to piece together ensembles that seem completely outrageous, but take on a new life under her experienced eye. Not to say that she can’t do understated elegance too — the lust-worthy nature of Anya’s style is that even the simplest shirt comes alive when paired with the right shoes or bag.

So it’s official: the best way to get a little fashion-inspired is to take a look at some of Anya’s street style looks, but be prepared to want to think very far outside of the box. Read more…

You know the stereotype that fashion girls love black, don’t smile, and think fashion is très important and no laughing matter? Well Elisa Nalin has proven time and again that the above stereotype is also false. A lover of colour who is always ready to crack a smile for the camera, Nalin — a Paris-based stylist and style consultant — is the ultimate when it comes to fashion’s favorite street style darling.

Elisa seems to interpret every major trend with ease, so it’s no surprise that her talents are sought after by Dazed & Confused, La Perla, Le Bonmarché and numerous other industry heavyweights.

Elisa’s style aesthetic is evident from her list of favorite designers, which includes Dries van Noten, Pierre Hardy and Christian Louboutin. But don’t take our word for it.  Everything you need to know about this Italy-born fashionista’s style can be found on today’s bevy of street style sites.

Christy Turlington looked very colourful on the red carpet for the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of “Nice Guy Johnny” in New York this weekend.

At first I thought her dress was from the Dries Van Noten Spring 2010 collection, but it’s actually from the Zero + Maria Cornejo Fall 2010 collection.

It was the print that made me think Dries, but on second look this print has more of an autumn feel than an ethnic feel.

The supermodel paired her two-tone dress with black lace-up booties and a black gold chain bag.
