Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé – Oscars 2014

Cate Blanchett In Armani Prive - 2014 Oscars

Cate Blanchett glided down the red carpet at the 2014 Oscars held the Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday (March 2) in Hollywood, California like a graceful swan.

It was a no-brainer that she would wear Armani Prive once again, as she usually turns to the Italian designer for the grand occasions.

I love how she brought some romance to the red carpet wearing a soft gold-coloured cap-sleeve gown featuring a long, flared tulle skirt with crinoline edging, fully embroidered with raised dégradé sequins and light gold Swarovski crystal baguettes.

As if the gown wasn’t embellished enough, she added some dazzling Chopard jewels, including a pair of opal drop earrings that I’m sure cost a pretty penny.

Along with Lupita Nyong’o and Amy Adams, she gave me goosebumps living up to the occasion and surpassing expectations.

Naomi Watts In Calvin Klein Collection – Oscars 2014

Naomi Watts turned heads as she made her way down the Oscars 2014 red carpet at the Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday (March 2) in Hollywood, California.

The stunning actress wore a custom Calvin Klein Collection gown encrusted in beading from head to toe.

The simple silhouette, cap sleeves and dramatic monochromatic beading is simply divine.

Her Bvlgari diamond collar necklace, simple bracelet and diamond stud earrings are perfectly suited to the gown, while her red lips and glossy, sideswept locks further cement this look as head-to-toe perfection.

Are you as taken with this entire look as I am?

June Squibb In Tadashi Shoji – Oscars 2014

June Squibb was in great spirits at the 2014 Oscars at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre tonight (March 2).

The ‘Nebraska’ actress, nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, wore a custom, emerald green, beaded dress by Tadashi Shoji and clutch by Swarovski.

I would have much preferred to see her in a proper gown instead of a jacket/gown combo as nominee for the most prestigious prize in the American film industry.

And, while the colour is absolutely gorgeous, the matching bag AND earring is a whole lot of it.

Nitpicking aside, June has never claimed to be a fashion plate and looks incredible for being 84-years-old. Most importantly she’s having a great time.

Olivia Wilde In Valentino – Oscars 2014

A pregnant Olivia Wilde glowed on the red carpet on Sunday (March 2) at the 2014 Oscars, hosted at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

The actress, starring in the upcoming ‘Better Living Through Chemistry’ film, stunned in Valentino Pre-Fall 2014.

All through her pregnancy Olivia has nailed her red carpet style (like this high-fashion look) and her black and white design at the Academy Awards was no exception. The mock-turtleneck style hugged her baby bump giving a very sexy silhouette, which was enhanced with an open back detail and punctuated with a modern bow detail at the nape of the neck.

Olivia continue the black and white colour palette with her accessories: a cocktail ring, drop earrings, and arm party bangles from Lorraine Schwartz.

I love this red carpet look. What do you think of this sexy, yet covered-up design?

Chrissy Teigen In Monique Lhuillier – Oscars 2014

Chrissy Teigen made an out-of-character choice on the red carpet at the 2014 Oscars this evening (March 2).

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue covergirl and newlywed wore a voluminous gown from Monique Lhullier Fall 2014 paired with a clutch and shoes by Jimmy Choo and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

We’re used to seeing Chrissy in uber-sexy, slinky gowns and she stepped out of her comfort zone while delivering a major fashion moment. The abstract print and pockets make this dress feel incredibly modern even though the cut reads couture.

Chrissy made a smart call not overwhelming the look with jewelry; the earrings are just enough to add a touch of glamour while letting the dress do most of the talking.

The tousled, swept back hair also adds to the modernity of the look.

I absolutely loved seeing Chrissy embrace a more contemporary type of sexy. How about you?

Kristen Bell In Roberto Cavalli – Oscars 2014

Kristen Bell In Roberto Cavalli - Oscars 2014

Kristen Bell walked the red carpet at the Oscars 2014 held at the Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday (March 2) in Hollywood, California.

The star wore a strapless, blush-colored Roberto Cavalli gown with elegant beaded detailing.

The gown was definitely a subtle approach to the fashion face-off that is the Academy Awards, but Kristen looks ladylike and beautiful, and the Ferragamo box clutch is a trendy touch.

She accented the look with Piaget’s Rose Empress necklace and Rose earrings in white gold and diamonds.

I am not a fan of the dated updo, but her flawless skin and pink lips are the perfect makeup choices for the look.

Maria Menounos In Johanna Johnson – Oscars 2014

Maria Menounos arrived at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre this evening (March 2) for the 2014 Oscars wearing a white, beaded gown by Australian designer Johanna Johnson paired with an Ashlyn’d clutch

The actress and TV presenter’s dress skews a bit bridal, which is unsurprising since the designer designs wedding gowns in addition to eveningwear. However, the messy updo keeps her from looking like she is ready to walk down the aisle.

The crystal accents on the waist and shoulders as well as the beading add that something special that you look for in an Oscars gown and a daringly low back (not pictured) keeps things sexy.

Julie Delpy In Jenny Packham – Oscars 2014

Julie Delpy graced the red carpet on Sunday (March 2) at the 2014 Oscars, hosted at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

The ‘Before Midnight’ actress sparkled in a Jenny Packham Fall 2014 design.

Julie seemed to be inspired by flapper-era style when she chose her shimmering gown. The deep neckline and cinched waist, complete with a crystal detail, showed off the actress’ hourglass figure in the most lovely way. Chopard jewels and a Jimmy Choo ‘Carmen’ clutch were the perfect accessories.

In theme with the 1920’s style, Julie chose a soft wave and red lip combo that paired beautifully with her dress.

I think Julie nailed the classic bombshell look. Do you?
