Reese Witherspoon In Tom Ford – 2015 Oscars

ReeseWitherspoonInTomFord2015Oscars

Reese Witherspoon looked radiant as she walked the red carpet of the 2015 Oscars at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday (February 22).

The Best Actress nominee wore an off-the-shoulder Tom Ford gown with black detailing and intricate Tiffany & Co. diamond jewels.

The classic silhouette and color scheme are chic and timeless on the classic Hollywood A-Lister.

And as for Reese’s beauty look–the always lovely star looks like she found the fountain of youth on her way to the event. Perfectly understated with radiant skin and a soft glow in her cheeks and that shiny effortless hair–it all proves why Reese is America’s sweetheart.

Rita Ora In Marchesa – 2015 Oscars

87th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

Rita Ora is one of the featured performers at the 2015 Oscars, and as such, she took to the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on Sunday (February 22).

Exuding drama in spades, the British songstress was the picture of opulent grandeur in a Marchesa midnight corset gown with gold-leaf embroidery.

Gorgeous Bulgari and Lorraine Schwartz jewels were rightfully in alignment with the magnificence of the dress and its long train.

Just as notable about this sculptural statement is that it oozed sophisticated without Rita’s sometimes-questionable style theatrics.

Plus, I loved the modernity delivered by her sleek, white-platinum pixie and nude lip.

Gwyneth Paltrow In Ralph & Russo Couture – 2015 Oscars

Gwyneth Paltrow In Ralph & Russo Couture - 2015 Oscars

Gwyneth Paltrow graced the red carpet on Sunday (February 22) at the 2015 Oscars, hosted at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

The presenter and ’Mortdecai’ star wore Ralph & Russo Spring 2015 Couture.

Gwyneth looked elegant in a one-shouldered blush pink gown with an oversized rose detail on the shoulder. As usual, the actresses looked fantastic, but I wish she had opted for the more dramatic runway version of the gown, because she has the strong red carpet presence and fashion sense to pull it off.

Nevertheless, Gwyneth’s uber-feminine style was a breath of fresh spring-like air on the red carpet. And her super sleek hair and oversized berry-hued and diamond-encrusted drop earrings were a welcome dose of wow-factor.

Sienna Miller In Oscar de la Renta – 2015 Oscars

Sienna Miller attended the 2015 Oscars held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday (February 22).

For her turn on the red carpet, she wore a bright navy guipure and black open flower macramé gown with sequin embroidery from the Oscar de la Renta Fall 2015 collection.

Sienna is an absolute dream in this gown. As is customary with an ODLR gown, the details are intricate, and she is the perfect statuesque beauty to bring them to life.

Her makeup is also perfection. Stunning contouring, radiant skin, smokey eyes and pink lips all have me swooning.

Are you as captivated by Sienna’s look as I am?

Rosamund Pike In Givenchy Couture – 2015 Oscars

Rosamund Pike In Givenchy - 2015 Oscars

Rosamund Pike was another lady in red at the 2015 Oscars, hosted at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood, California.

I was delighted to see that the ‘Gone Girl’ Best Actress nominee continued her rise back to the top that we first saw at Friday’s Women in Film pre-Oscar party.

This vivacious crimson Givenchy Couture number created a visual spark on the red carpet with its dimensional, intricate embroidery sexily cinched in with a visible corset.

A front slit completed the gown’s sultry hourglass appeal and showed off her matching sandals.

Rosamund finished the sassy-elegant look in minimal fashion—dainty Lorraine Schwartz earrings, alongside a swept-back bun and barely-there rose-tinged makeup were all she needed.

Cate Blanchett In Maison Margiela Couture – 2015 Oscars

Cate Blanchett In Martin Margiela - 2015 Oscars_

Cate Blanchett graced the red carpet on Sunday (February 22) at the 2015 Oscars, hosted at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

The red carpet maven wore an unusually less-is-more style versus her typical wild card choices, but the Maison Margiela Couture design – created by John Galliano – looked sleek and effortless on the actress.

The high-neck column gown had a slight train with unfinished hem lines on the sleeves for a romantic feathered effect. Cate looked elegant and at ease in the gown, which she amped up with a bold turquoise floral bib necklace by Tiffany & Co. that beautifully mirrored the color of her eyes, making the jewels stand out even more.

As for beauty, Cate looked ethereal with a voluminous back-swept style, slightly smudgy eye colour and a nude-pink shade on her lips.

Do you love Cate’s unusually simple fashion choice, or wish she’d wore a statement-making gown like we’ve come to expect from her?

Kerry Washington In Miu Miu – 2015 Oscars

Kerry Washington In Miu Miu - 2015 Oscars

Kerry Washington attended the 2015 Oscars, hosted at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood, California.

As she wasn’t one of the nominees of the evening, the ‘Scandal’ actress dialled back the drama in a comfortably relaxed Miu Miu embroidered peplum gown.

The light champagne hue was lovely on her, with Fred Leighton floral strand earrings adding a much-needed punch to the more subtle look.

Still, the effect was more lacklustre than I would have wished for an evening such as the Academy Awards.
