Salma Hayek In YSL – ‘Puss In Boots’ London Premiere

Seriously, how many more premieres does this ‘Puss In Boots’ movie need?

It feels like Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas have lapped the world twice plugging this movie.

It has been seven months since the first Cannes Film Festival photocall back in May, so that means either this movie can’t be any good, it has a huge budget or neither actor has any other projects in the pipeline.

I wouldn’t be complaining if Salma was giving us some great red carpet looks à la Miss Rosie Huntington-Whitely, but they just seem to be getting worse and worse, which is surprising considering her access.

On this occasion she donned a YSL black suit with a mint green halter top from the Spring 2012 collection.

I would’ve forced myself to like the look had it not been for the hat.

The hat makes this look feel too costumey for me.

Salma Hayek In YSL Edition Soir – ‘Puss In Boots’ Paris Premiere

Salma Hayek was in France on Sunday night for the ‘Puss in Boots’ Paris premiere.

The actress wore Yves Saint Laurent from head to toe, pairing a dress from the Edition Soir 2011 collection with the YSL Tribtoo platform pumps in black patent leather.

The black taffeta and velvet dress is a perfect choice for the fun, kid-centered event, while front pockets give a modern and edgy touch.

Loose curls and natural makeup completed the look.

Sidewalk Style: Lady Gaga In YSL, Aquilano.Rimondi & Moschino

Lady Gaga was in London to perform on ‘The X Factor’, no doubt in a bid to entice people to watch the dated show.

The singer stepped out in four looks this weekend starting with this YSL Spring 2012 ensemble on Saturday.

Who would’ve thought that the singer would be the first to showcase this collection?

Her pretty pink ruffled top was teamed with a black skirt with a split, which was accented with a belt. The fit of the skirt is a bit off for me. It looks too big. The belt is supposed to be covering that fact, but it is doing the opposite by highlighting it.

Black leather gloves, sky-high Louboutins and cat-eye sunglasses completed this look.

Gemma Arterton In YSL – Amazon: An Exhibition In Aid Of Sky Rainforest Rescue

Gemma Arterton was present at the private viewing of ‘Amazon: An Exhibition In Aid Of Sky Rainforest Rescue’ which took place this evening in London.

The actress wore a YSL chain-embellished crepe jumpsuit from the Fall 2011 collection.

This chic number had a Grecian feel to it because of the decadent gold chain which cascades down her back before wrapping around her waist.

The top-half of this jumpsuit looks exquisite on Gemma, but I’m not sure about the pants.

They aren’t particularly flattering as they make her appear wider than she actually is, plus they are heavily creased.

Gemma decided to go with a sleek updo, which was a great call. Had her hair been down it would have taken away from the sexiness of the back.

She finished her look with a nude pout and subtle shimmery eye shadow. The only jewelry she needed were two gold rings.

Rachel Zoe would pull off this ensemble without a glitch. This outfit totally screams out her name.

You can buy Gemma’s YSL jumpsuit from
Net-A-Porter US and Net-A-Porter International.

Elettra Wiedemann Rosselini In YSL – Vanity Fair’s ‘Man of the Year 2011′ Awards

Elettra Wiedemann Rosselini was in Madrid, Spain last night to attend the Vanity Fair ‘Man of the Year 2011? Awards.

She wore a YSL Spring 2011 strapless dress.

This is quite possibly the worst dress to hit the red carpet this year.

I’ll take Bryce Dallas Howard’s ‘I’m not pregnant’ Reem Acra dress over this flamenco-inspired look any day.

It’s too long, it’s too literal considering where she is, it’s too cheesy, the shoes work on the runway, but not on Elettra – and the belt looks like it’s suffocating her.

This should’ve been left as a runway piece.

Alexander Skarsgard In YSL – ‘Melancholia’ New York Film Festival Premiere

Alexander Skarsgard joined Kirsten Dunst on the red carpet for the ‘Melancholia’ Premiere during the New York Film Festival this week.

The very handsome actor wore a classic Yves Saint Laurent navy wool suit with a fitted khaki dress shirt.

A navy satin tie and brown dress shoes with double monk straps completed his look.

I’m glad to see another actor isn’t going for a red carpet look outside the typical black suit.

Having breathed the same air as Alexander at the Mulberry party during New York Fashion Week, I admire Kirsten for not passing out in his presence.
