Rachel Weisz lit up the red carpet at the premiere of The Brothers Bloom on the opening night of the 44th Chicago International Film Festival in Illinois recently.

The stunning actress wore a Yves Saint Laurent Resort 2009 sleeveless snake print dress, which she matched with strappy Guiseppe Zanotti heels.

Another perfect look for the stunning star.

Yves Saint Laurent’s Spring 2009 felt like a homage to the late designer with many tuxedo jackets, kimono jackets and superb tailoring.

The opening jackets were teamed with pants which had a dropped crotch and came in three lengths.

Transparency was another theme of the collection, with sheer blouses, jacket, and top over matching bras.

This was a classic collection with silk shorts suits, high-waisted tulip skirts, and elegant black shift dresses.

What I loved from the show are the leather mesh booties. OK they look incredibly painful to walk in, but they are so well constructed.

Top of my wishlist.

A tired looking Naomi Campbell was of course in the front row as the current face of the brand. She was wearing the celebrity favourite uniform YSL Trib Two Platform Pumps, with a grey YSL Fall 2008 skirt suit, with a black patent belt.

Yikes. Claudia Schiffer might like this animal print, but the print is not loving her.

Classy, classic, tailored. Of course it is Dita von Teese, who is also wearing the YSL Trib Two Platform Pumps.

Natalia Vodianova wore a very androgynous Givenchy Spring 2009 all black ensemble.

Yikes again. This time for Stephanie Seymour. The supermodel wore an Azzedine Alaia high-waisted leather skirt, with a jersey long sleeved top. This was fabulous, but the leggings really ruined this look for me.

Emma Watson has really impressed me this Paris Fashion Week. Some girls her aged would have been intimidated by the event and over dressed, but Emma has kept her looks consistently youthful, light and fresh.

She wears her snake embroidered YSL tee, with black YSL tapered pants, YSL Fall 2008 platform sandals and she carried a silver metallic YSL tote.

I have the YSL Y-Mail purse which I treasure, and carry everywhere with me.

The Y-Mail collection – which includes totes, clutches and purses – was created for Spring 2008 as a tribute to the brand’s first official headquarters at Paris’ famous Rive Gauche, on the left bank of the Seine River.

The clutch also has the postmark as the YSL logo. The clutch is shaped just like an envelope and comes in black patent.

For this Fall 2008 season Paul Smith have created their own similar envelope Paul Smith Daisy Zip Wallet, with a postmark and address.

This wallet can be purchased from my-wardrobe.com for £200/€251,40/$393.47.

Whilst doing my usual browse in Topshop yesterday I came across this Lantern dress by Boutique which, I am sure you will agree, bears a very strong resemblance to the YSL Fall 2008 dress, which appeared on the runway in taupe with a black asymmetric panel.

The sleeveless Topshop Boutique silk dress is beautiful, and I especially love the puffball skirt. I am not a fan of buying things that are ‘Dry clean only’, but at only £65 I could not resist this dress.

Both Sarah Jessica Parker and Naomi Campbell of have worn this YSL dress.

Naomi wore the runway version, and SJP’s YSL dress is a closer match to the Topshop dress.

Looking at SJP here, I have plan to accessorize my dress in a similar way, but I will also add a belt.

Regular readers will recognise this YSL Spring 2008 grey dress, which is still the most worn dress on the red carpet this year.

Topshop have recently added this grey Bandeau dress by Boutique to its collection, which bears a strong resemblance to the dress that appeared on the runway.

The strapless jersey dress with front side pockets is available from Topshop for only £60.

Despite Kylie Minogue being from Australia, us Brits have very much adopted her as a native.

Having grown up seeing Kylie in Aussie soap Neighbours, singing cheesy pop songs on Top of The Pops, to becoming a credible pop artist and style icon, I feel very proud to see her received an OBE from Prince Charles today at Buckingham Palace.

When the former Neighbours star found out last December she would be made an OBE for services to music, she said: “I feel deeply touched to be acknowledged by the UK, my adopted home, in this way.”

Kylie wore gold strappy sandals with white YSL dress from the Spring 2008 collection which is adorned with multi-coloured sequined stars.
