‘Dukes of Melrose’ Launch Party Red Carpet Round Up

Celebs came out to help Cameron Silver and Christos Garkinos celebrate the launch of their new Bravo series, ‘Dukes of Melrose’, held at the Sunset Tower Hotel on Thursday evening. They all, of course, wore vintage pieces from the hosts’ boutique, Decades Inc.

Sophia Bush: Finally getting those bangs cut to a perfect length, the actress wore a vintage 80s Halston one-shoulder gold dress with a wrap skirt, which was styled with a snakeskin MCM flap wallet clutch and gold Ruthie Davis platform peep-toes.

Isabelle Fuhrman: Turning back time to the 60s, young Isabelle wore a vintage Norell bright-yellow long-sleeved shift dress, which she styled with a bright-yellow MCM bag. Between the two pops of colour and the gorgeous smile, needless to say she was my favourite at this event.

Leven Rambin: J’Adore Leven’s classic YSL Le Smoking 80s pant suit. It’s such a simple yet impactful look, with the bold shoulders, satin lapels and high-waisted pants. Her red lip colour further adds a bold statement, with a gold clutch and black sandals completing her gorgeous look.

Cobie Smulders In YSL - 'Safe Haven' LA premiere

Cobie Smulders made a welcome return to the red carpet last night for the ‘Safe Haven’ LA premiere held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.

The ‘How I Met Your Mother’ star wore a YSL jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, which was accented with a jewel brooch.

Her look was also styled with black Tom Ford pumps and given an edge via her Perrin Paris glove clutch.

On this occasion, the voluminous ‘do works with the rock ‘n roll theme of this look.

I often say, “I’ve never met a jumpsuit I didn’t like”, well I don’t like this one. I find it really unflattering on Cobie and she didn’t need that brooch.

It’s been a while since we saw quirky Katy Perry on the red carpet; lately it has been glamour all the way.

She attended a celebration of Carole King and her music to benefit Paul Newman’s The Painted Turtle Camp at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

The singer wore a very familiar YSL Edition Soir gown.

Familiar not so much in colour, but in style. Just this year alone, both Kylie Minogue and Emmy Rossum have worn this gown.

The main difference between them and Katy is that Katy’s gown has embellished details on the bodice which she has offset with a decorative Amrapali necklace, which probably wasn’t needed but does enhance the overall look.

Wavy raven tresses and gold ankle-strap Giuseppe Zanotti pumps completed her look.

Do you love the new Katy Perry, or are you longing for the quirky Katy to return?

Michelle Ryan attended the 58th London Evening Standard Theatre Awards, held at the Savoy Hotel in London on Sunday evening.

The former Eastenders actress didn’t get it quite right for me in this YSL suit.

I like the idea, and the pops of red liven up the look, but the suit is terribly ill-fitting.

From the cut of the blazer – I would’ve liked a narrower waist – to the length of the pants – just too damn long – there is nothing I like about this look.

Kate Moss was spotted leaving her hotel in Paris, France on Wednesday en route to the Colette boutique to promote her book ‘Kate: The Kate Moss Book’.

She also wore a look from the Saint Laurent Spring 2013 collection.

This collection is more suited to Kate Moss than Lady Gaga, who kinda ruined this collection for me.

Kate didn’t deviate too far from the runway look, wearing a sheer black blouse – sans pussy bow – with sleek straight cigarette pants with a black patent belt, which was worn with a lace cropped collarless jacket with lace accents, ruffled trims and a tasselled detail.

Her standard just-got-out-of-bed, wavy, purposely messy tresses, a black Longchamp bag and black ankle-strap pumps completed her effortlessly chic look.

Salma Hayek also attended the 2012 Bambi Awards held at the Stadthalle Düsseldorf in Germany yesterday evening, where she collected the ‘Best International Actress’ award at the prestigious ceremony.

Proving that Lady Gaga doesn’t have the monopoly on the Saint Laurent Spring 2013 collection, the actress wore a black dress from said collection.

The plunging dress, with an embellished gold trim which snakes around to her back, was styled with gold jewels, including a selection of cuffs on both wrists and a black shoulder bag with a gold chain.

My first reaction to this look was total boredom, but it grew on me quite quickly.

Salma tends to make a lot of missteps but on this occasion the dress is flattering, the twins are on display in a tasteful way and she accessorized perfectly – nothing to fault from me here.

Many stars gathered at Chateau Marmont’s Bar Marmont in Hollywood, California on Friday evening for Cameron Silver’s ‘Decades: A Century of Fashion’ book party hosted by Marina B.

Tracee Ellis Ross: She may have been decked out in all black, but the peplum detail, gold dangling earrings and green and yellow statement earrings keep me very interested.

Marisa Tomei: The actress’ love affair with British designers continued as she wore an Erdem Fall 2012 look. Her purple and black dress with an overlay bodice was styled with black pumps.

Liz Goldwyn: The stylist to the stars wore a Jonathan Saunders Resort 2013 grey floral print dress we have seen on Bella Heathcote. Read more…
