The Fashion Awards 2017 Red Carpet Roundup

The long list of stars continued in full force at The Fashion Awards 2017 on Monday (December 4) in London.

Kaia Geber: I loved seeing the young model have some fun with the flirty nature of ruffles in this Ralph & Russo Spring 2018 two-piece, cold-shoulder look. It was style-forward, chic, and sweet at the same time. Messika jewels completed her look.

Adwoa Aboah: There was no sequin left unturned in this Halpern Spring 2018 sequin number, but it was the platform footwear that compromised its fresh potential.

Jourdan Dunn: The sultry seduction of the Versace label was fully celebrated in this orange gown. But I most loved the model’s gorgeous beauty look.

Solange Knowles In Vivienne Westwood – Billboard Women In Music 2017

Solange Knowles was honored with the Impact Award at the Billboard Women In Music event on Thursday (November 30) in Hollywood, California, joining fellow honoree Selena Gomez.

As you know, I can fall in love with just about any Solange look, but there’s something about this Vivienne Westwood Resort 2018 oversized tailored jacket and trousers combo I wasn’t buying.

When it comes to the construction, flawless. The tailoring is impeccable.

It’s just the supersized nature of it all which is almost, dare I say, comical.

Everything is so big, which in turn makes her head look so small; like she’s having an out-of-body experience.

I want to bow to her greatness, but I will have to pass on this one.

Phillipa Soo In Vivienne Westwood Couture – ‘The Parisian Woman’ Broadway Opening Night

Phillipa Soo attended the Broadway opening night party of ‘The Parisian Woman’ at The Hudson Theatre on Thursday (November 30) in New York City, following her performance.

When it comes to her Vivienne Westwood Couture corseted gown, I’m totally enamored by the fuchsia pink and royal blue colours more than the design itself.

Had there been a more defined shape around the waist I would’ve been in love as I do like the dual-bodice and hot-pink train.

Opting for colour co-ordinated Sam Edelman ‘Addison’ heels over plain pumps also adds to the charm.

Diana Ross In Vivienne Westwood – 2017 American Music Awards

Diana Ross attended the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday (November 19) in LA, hosted by her daughter, Tracee Ellis Ross, and attended by Ashlee Simpson Ross and son Evan Ross.

The legendary singer delighted the audience with a rare performance at the music awards show, which honored her with the lifetime achievement award.

Opting to entertain both on and off the red carpet, Diana wore a corseted black paper taffeta dress from the Vivienne Westwood Fall 2017 collection.

The look was styled with a cobweb like headpiece and flowing train which really made her stand out on the red carpet.

2017 MTV EMAs Red Carpet Roundup

While many will still be talking about Rita Ora’s double bathrobe moment at the 2017 MTV EMAs on Sunday (November 12) in London, there were plenty of other daring looks to likewise borrow some of the spotlight.

Leomie Anderson: I love how the model looked to vintage Vivienne Westwood inspiration in this Fall 1994 look. Her high ponytail and combat boots added another layer of sassy edge to the look that had plenty of modern edge.

Demi Lovato: Proving that plaid and a paper-bag waist can somehow maintain a sexy appeal, Demi worked the proportions of this Styland suit to her advantage. Giuseppe Zanotti plafforms were clearly necessary given the length of the pants, with Messika jewelry rounding out the look. If the super-long extensions get a pass, it’s only because of this being a MTV occasion.

Tallia Storm: Her Topshop ‘Cosmic Star’ embellished slip dress offered an accessible interpretation on red-carpet dressing. I can easily see the socks and platforms being a sticking point, however, they did bring funky appeal, with an Alexander McQueen clutch for a bit of overt British flavour to finish the look.
