Weekend Red Carpet Roundup

weekend roundup

The weekend brought with it a garden variety of ensembles from Los Angeles to London, and more. Here, a glance at the looks and the starlets who wore them.

Emma Roberts: Joining Diane Kruger and Freida Pinto, the actress was at the 8th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Liberty State Park on Saturday (May 30) in Jersey City, New Jersey. She styled her sunny yellow Christine Alcalay Spring 2015 dress with Michael Kors Benji straw wedge sandals, an M2malletier Mini Amor Fati leopard pony bag, and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi Chantilly sunglasses, all topped off with a braided ’do.

Elsa Pataky: Elsa was the picture of girly charm, as she joined Emily Blunt at the Audi Polo Challenge at Coworth Park on Sunday (May 31) in London, England. Her rose-printed Ulyana Sergeenko demi couture dress was adorable yet I would have loved to see it without the pink sweater. Casadei nude suede pumps assured her legs went on for days, with a Paula Cademartori clutch finishing the look.

Sophia Bush: The actress was at Glamour USA’s June ‘Success’ Issue dinner party at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California on Friday (May 29). While her Vivienne Westwood Fall 2015 dress, worn with a Rauwolf clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals, was rather elaborate with its heavy print and silhouette, she ensured the look stayed fresh with her hair and makeup on the barely-there side.

Noomi Rapace In Vivenne Westwood & Vionnet - ‘The Sea of Trees’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Noomi Rapace was at the ‘The Sea of Trees’ premiere and the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala, both hosted during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.

‘The Sea of Trees’ Premiere: The Swedish star’s Vivienne Westwood asymmetrical gown didn’t boast any bold beading or shiny sequins, but the designer’s signature silhouette manifested in an intense red hue with tonal striping was enough to make a dramatic impact, with a matching crimson red lip rounding out her entrance on Saturday (May 16).

amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala
: For the gala, hosted at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Thursday (May 21), she breathed some vibrant life into her elegant black lace Vionnet backless gown with her strawberry lip and turquoise handbag—even if the clutch was a bit too big.

Best Dressed Of The Week - Celia Freijeiro In Vivienne Westwood, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Burberry Prorsum & Chris Hemsworth in Salvatore Ferragamo

This week you selected Celia Freijeiro in Vivienne Westwood for your best dressed this week, while I went gaga over the stunning Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Burberry Prorsum.

When it came to the fellas, even with such a strong diverse group, there was one very clear winner; Chris Hemsworth in Salvatore Ferragamo.

Noomi Rapace In Vivienne Westwood – ‘Child 44′ London Premiere

Noomi Rapace In Vivienne Westwood - 'Child 44' London Premiere

Noomi Rapace attended the UK Premiere of ‘Child 44′ at Vue West End on Thursday (April 16) in London, England.

The Swedish actress wore a black and gold gown from Vivienne Westwood Fall 2015 collection, which is the designer’s version of a modern princess gown with a rebellious edge.

You would think someone as petite as Noomi would be swamped by this elaborate piece, especially with those puffy sleeves, but I think she carries this off with grace.

Despite my positive outlook on this, I’m not sure it will go down too well.

Celia Freijeiro In Vivienne Westwood – Valle-Inclán Theatre Awards

Celia Freijeiro In Vivienne Westwood - Valle-Inclán Theatre Awards

Celia Freijeiro hosted the Valle-Inclán Theatre Awards held in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday (April 14).

I’m certain this gown needs no introduction as it’s classic Vivienne Westwood.

From the hypnotic colour, to the draped design and corseted waist, there is no chance of me growing tired of Vivienne’s signature gowns any time soon.

The gown is further enhanced by Celia’s beauty, flowing locks and effortless styling.

One of the BDOTW list me thinks. Do you agree?
