Sophie Marceau In Vionnet, Saint Laurent, Balmain & Armani Privé – Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet Roundup

Sophie Marceau In Vionnet, Saint Laurent, - Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet Roundup

Sophie Marceau has been busy making the rounds at the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival, attending four different premieres over the last week in Cannes, France.

‘The Sea of Trees’ Premiere: While I appreciated her willingness to go left in the sea of glittery Cannes gowns with this black-and-white Vionnet design, this mod hybrid look simply made me wish for either the leather jumpsuit or the full Grecian-style gown in its entirety rather than unusually fused together.

‘Shan He Gu Ran’ Premiere: Here, the French beauty does abide by Cannes’ dazzling dress code in her Saint Laurent multicolour front-slit, backless gown. Ordinarily, I would have nixed the bejeweled earrings given the high-octane shine of the dress, but when in Cannes…

Zoe Kravitz In Vionnet – 2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Zoe Kravitz In Vionnet - 2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala

Zoe Kravitz attended amfAR’s 22nd Cinema Against AIDS Gala at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Thursday (May 21) in Cap d’Antibes, France.

The ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ star has gone from favouring black to all white.

Her last look hailed from the Valentino Sala Bianca Haute Couture collection, whereas this ethereal look came courtesy of Vionnet.

The gown has some subtle, interesting elements to it, but sadly they are covered by her long braids so the eye goes straight to her red lip.

Could Zoe have spiced this look up a bit, or do you like this less-is-more approach?

De Grisogono Divine Party

De Grisogono Divine Party

Actresses and models were in attendance at the de Grisogono Divine Party, held during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday (May 19) in Cap d’Antibes, France, where de Grisogono jewels were naturally the most striking accessory of the evening.

Karlie Kloss: The model stepped up her game in an embellished Oscar de la Renta gown in a vibrant shade of blue, although the skirt really needed to be steamed.

Joan Smalls: Her statement earrings popped against the all-black look, where the Givenchy Couture semi-sheer gown flaunted a sculpted, futuristic vibe.

2015 Tony Awards Meet The Nominees Press Reception

2015 Tony Awards Meet The Nominees Press Reception

The 2015 Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Junket was recently held at The Paramount Hotel on Wednesday (April 29) in New York City, ushering in a range of stage and screen talent for the event.

Carey Mulligan: While I’ve never been one to disregard a quirky fashion piece, her cartoonish UFO and shooting star blazer would have likely benefited from sleeker styling, beginning with more fun and more boldness in her beauty look.

Helen Mirren
: Never one to lose her sense of sophistication, she was elegant in a navy blue dress sleekly punctuated by a white belt and handbag, although a clutch would have been just as appropriate and significantly less cumbersome.

Elisabeth Moss: That nearly neon, red-orange lippie was my favourite part of Elisabeth’s look, echoing the scattering of embellishment on her prim little blue Noon By Noor dress. I almost wish her shoes had been just as bright.

Holliday Grainger In Vionnet – ‘Cinderella’ London Premiere

Holliday Grainger In Vionnet - ‘Cinderella’ London Premiere

Holliday Grainger attended the premiere of ‘Cinderella’ held at the Odeon Leicester Square this evening (March 19) in London, England.

I love how her Vionnet orchid white flowy gown, made up of sumptuous pleats, projects an ethereal statement while the draped detail and red lip keeping the look distantly modern.

Are you charmed by this look?

Emily Ratajkowski In Vionnet – Vionnet Fall 2015 Show

Emily Ratajkowski In Vionnet - Vionnet Fall 2015 Show

Emily Ratajkowski attended the Vionnet show during Fall 2015 Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday (March 4) in Paris, France.

The actress, who tends to stick to a specific style of dress – usually of the Cushnie et Ochs variety – opted to cover up her famed assets wearing a one-shoulder Vionnet tri-colour dress with a hint of deconstructionism.

While the dress is eye-catching, my eyes fell instantly to her Paula Cademartori ‘Cocca’ clutch with its neon patent-leather inserts and intricate design popping against the navy- and aqua-blue elements of her frock.

The Casadei pumps are a bit of a snooze and I wish she’d tied her hair back, but this is a very refreshing look from the usually one-note red carpet starlet.
