Tang Wei In Vionnet – ‘Blackhat’ LA Premiere

Tang Wei In Vionnet - 'Blackhat' LA Premiere

Tang Wei joined her co-star Chris Hemsworth for the premiere of their latest movie ‘Blackhat’ held at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX on Thursday (January 8) in Hollywood, California.

The Asian beauty, who makes her debut in a Hollywood movie, was looking just as gorgeous as her co-star, wearing a Vionnet Spring 2014 gown.

While this might be deemed to summery, I adore the softness of this mellow yellow gown, which reveals a sensual open back.

Styled with super-glossy side-swept tresses, she completed her look with a gold metallic clutch.

Taylor Schilling In Vionnet – 2014 American Music Awards

Taylor Schilling In Vionnet - 2014 American Music Awards

Taylor Schilling joined her ‘Orange is the New Black’ co-star Uzo Aduba on the red carpet for the the 2014 American Music Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (November 23) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a Vionnet Resort 2015 black and white one-shoulder dress featuring intriguing asymmetrical cuts including a peplum detail.

Breaking up the monochrome nature of her look she spliced it with a touch of colour via her patent red Brian Atwood ‘Marella’ pumps and a gunmetal Lee Savage ‘Stack’ clutch.

At first I wasn’t on board with the nude makeup and side-swept wavy tresses, but the makeup complements the easy nature of this look and a pop of colour wasn’t needed as the pumps provided that, plus the hair doesn’t get in the way of the sharp neckline.

Jordana Brewster In Vionnet – No Kid Hungry Campaign Fundraising Dinner

Jordana Brewster In Vionnet - No Kid Hungry Campaign Fundraising Dinner

Jordana Brewster attended the No Kid Hungry campaign fundraising dinner held at Ron Burkle’s Green Acres Estate on Saturday (October 25) in Beverly Hills, California.

The actress wore a beautifully understated Vionnet light-blue plissé dress with a deep V-neckline, blue glacier stripes and a grey mohair grosgrain belt from the Fall 2014 collection.

Maximizing the feminine allure, she opted for grey suede accessories including an octagon clutch and Pierre Hardy pumps.

There are many dresses with a summery sunny deposition which also feel right to be worn during Fall; this is just such a dress.

Allison Williams In Vionnet – 2014 Global Citizen Festival

Allison Williams In Vionnet - 2014 Global Citizen Festival

Allison Williams attended the 2014 Global Citizen Festival to end extreme poverty by 2030 in Central Park on Saturday (September 27) in New York City.

The ‘Girls’ actress, who once had a love for purely ladylike dresses, has been switching things up of late.

Summer may be giving way to fall, yet the actress has no qualms about showing off her toned abs, wearing a Vionnet black knit two-piece featuring a sporty contrast neck and waistline.

She added a pop of colour via her ruby nails, with wavy tresses and glossy lips completing her look.

Usually I would’ve been wanting more interesting footwear, but I have no issues with them on this occasion – perhaps because they blend into the red carpet, but more likely because they add a ladylike polish to the look.

Rosario Dawson In Vionnet – amfAR Milano 2014

Rosario Dawson In Vionnet - amfAR Milano 2014

Rosario Dawson attended the amfAR Milano 2014 Gala on Saturday (September 20) in Milan, Italy.

Having seen and spoken to her during a party at New York Fashion Week – where she told me she wants her red carpet style to take a new direction – I got to realize that these pictures often don’t do her justice and that she’s a lovely, down-to-earth woman.

However, this Vionnet Fall 2014 Couture look was not the right look for her.

Even the likes of Diane Kruger and Cate Blanchett would’ve failed to make this overwhelming look work.

While she’s never afraid of a challenge, this has too much going on, with the end result not being a flattering one.

Beautiful in construction, this one should have been left on the runway or confined to the pages of an editorial.
