When we think of the Vitkor & Rolf Spring 2010 collection, we immediately think of multi-coloured asymmetrical pieces which we’ve seen worn by Rihanna, Anna Paquin and Lady GaGa.

Well there were some none tulle pieces in that collection.

Jessica Alba wore a Viktor & Rolf Spring 2010 nude dress with the cute runway bow belt when she attended the 7th Annual Global Green USA Pre-Oscar Party in LA last night.

I love the embroidered details on the dress and the cape-like detail on her shoulders.

She paired her dress with black strappy Casadei sandals and a silver clutch.

I really loved the runway heels, but I don’t hate Jessica’s choice.

Another BDOTW contender for me. What do you think?

Rihanna was the Best Dressed at the “Salute to Icons Honoring Doug Morris” event last night.

I really love her in this Viktor & Rolf Spring 2010 tulle corset dress, which is not an easy dress to pull off.

The pastel pink and baby blue add a softness to the look, plus I love how she picked simple Louboutin pumps to complement the dress and not compete with the dress.

She doesn’t get too overwhelmed by the voluminous asymmetrical neckline which must have been difficult to manage.

The dress appears to be slightly modified from the runway, with a piece of the pink tulle missing from the hip where Rihanna rests her hand to pose.

The singer wore some interesting blackened gold and white diamond feather earrings from Georgina Chapman’s Garrard collection.

If she was going all out at this event, I wonder what she has in store for us tonight at the Grammy Awards.

Check back later to find out.

Yesterday Rihanna was on the Oprah Winfrey Show where she performed a cover of Bob Marley’s classic “Redemption Song.”

Her cover of the 1980 Marley track is available to download from iTunes now, with proceeds going to the Haiti Relief Fund.

I knew it wouldn’t be long before we saw Rihanna wearing one of the looks from Viktor & Rolf’s Spring 2010 collection and I absolutely love it.

Although I wish she’d saved it for the Grammy’s as it would’ve made a bigger impact.

She wore the one-sleeved two tone tuxedo dress with a black tulle fan detail and pink bodice.

The hair is constantly evolving as she’s now sporting curls in her honey blonde do.

Do we like it, or do we LOVE it?

This is an incredibly long post, so please click ‘read more…’ below to see the rest of the looks from this amazingly well dressed event.

I was starting to lose hope that I would ever see this amazing Marchesa Fall 2009 dress on the red carpet.

Olivia Wilde has fulfilled my wish by looking drop-dead gorgeous wearing the strapless nude suede dress.

I love those embroidered floral details, the complementary taupe clutch and her nude Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps.

I don’t know much about Amber Heard, but I’m really impressed with her on the red carpet and shocked that she always manages to wear such big name designers.

Last night she looked sensational wearing this red Christian Dior Spring 2010 belted gown with a chiffon bodice and a satin skirt.

Since Charlize Theron has been M.I.A. on the red carpet in a while, I guess John Galliano might have been looking for an interim muse.

It’s not often we see 3 great Dior Spring 2010 looks in the space of 2 days.

Miss Dior herself – Marion Cotillard wore Dior to the Critic’s Choice Awards on Friday, then Chloe Sevigny wore Dior to the NY Times Style Magazine’s Pre-Golden Globe Awards Party on Saturday.

It’s always a pleasure to see Camilla Belle on the red carpet.

The actress wore a grey Valentino Spring 2010 dress with a satin bow detail on the hip.

I love the way the cape and skirt fan out.  It would’ve been amazing to watch this dress in motion.

I’m not sure about those stunning heels with the dress, but the heels are divine on their own.

On Friday I was worried that after Apphia Michael wore Viktor & Rolf to the Wallpaper Design Awards, that we would only get to see these pieces from this Spring 2010 collection inside magazines.

Anna Paquin delights us by wearing a strapless pink tulle dress with exaggerated hips.

She also blows my theory that only one of each look was ever made for this collection, as hers is pink to the runway’s grey and blue.

An Alexander McQueen knuckle duster clutch, Boucheron diamond studs, a Tom Binns necklace and black gladiator heels complete her look. Read more…

Apphia Michael (PA & Office Manager) from Wallpaper* magazine wore one of the stunning asymmetrical tulle pieces from the Viktor & Rolf Spring 2010 collection, to the Wallpaper* Design Awards in London last night.

I was sure we would only ever see these pieces in editorials, so kudos to Apphia for taking on this grand piece.

Apphia swept her long hair over one shoulder which totally covered the half bodice. I think she should have kept her hair behind her shoulders. Why cover a single inch of this creation?

Viktor & Rolf pieces are usually worn by the likes of Roisin Murphy, so it’s nice to finally see it on the red carpet.

Lady GaGa wore one of the shorter pieces in her recent Elle editorial, but it was Katy Perry who first wear a dress from this collection when she presented the MTV EMAs last year.

December 3rd, 2009

As part of their Spring 2010 collection, Victor and Rolf have created a collection of five cocktail dresses.

In fact they will be creating a small capsule of LBD’s in every collection from now on.

The design duo want to reinvent the LBD and offer something extra from the main collection.

In the words of the designers “the garments capture our take on the spirit of a woman”.

Feminine they most certainly are with gorgeous soft bows, lace and references to lingerie.

I’ve been drooling over the dresses and can’t decide which one I love the most.

What do you think of the collection?

The dresses will available from December in high end department stores.

I see trouble ahead for the rumoured Victoria Beckham Collection Spring 2010 campaign girl.

In an interview with Allure magazine, Victoria Beckham said “Don’t have all your legs out and all your boobs out. Cover something up”.

Ooops Blake obvisoulsy doesn’t live by that rule, and why should she when she looks this fabulous.

The Gossip Girl actress looked stunning wearing a beautiful bow-fronted Marchesa Spring 2010 white embroidered blazer with black shorts.

J’Adore.  She can’t do wrong for me at the moment.

Sophia Bush was covered up wearing a Helmut Lang powder print dress, but that didn’t stop her looking any less fabulous.

I’m glad to see Sophia is not sticking to the obvious labels and trying something new for a refreshing change, as it helps her stand out from all the Hollywood starlet Herve Leger wearing clones.

Sophia and I obviously have the same taste, as I added this dress to my favourites this week.

Julianne Moore’s Viktor & Rolf Spring 2010 tuxedo jacket-like draped dress is soften without the sleeves.

I really like the modification, but if she was going to wear tights that thick she might as well have stuck with the original runway version.

Writer/director Rebecca Miller wasn’t about to be outdone by these actresses.

She also glammed for this screening by donning a very chic tailored Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2009 keyhole black dress with a red floral design, a high collar and gathered sleeves.

European actresses Marion Cotillard and Penelope Cruz seemed to be inseparable, as I couldn’t find a picture of them apart.

Cruz wore head-to-toe black, whereas Marion stood out by wearing a taupe dress with embellished details.

I much preferred Robin Wright Penn as a blonde.

I understand she wants to ‘wash that man right outta her hair’, but brunette was not the way forward for her.

What’s with all the drastic colour changes lately?  First McPhee, now Robin.

Also the Herve Leger dress isn’t really doing anything good for her.
