On Monday (February 3) afternoon, Alesha Dixon was spotted leaving her hotel for the next round of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ auditions in Birmingham, England.
After giving us so much colour so far this season, the judge opted for all black, wearing a Versus black turtleneck top with a Versus box-pleated skirt featuring the brand’s signature gold-tone Versace button.
Once again, the skirt sits a little too high for my liking and she should’ve worn a black bra, but I love the playfulness of this look, rounded out with sexy black strappy Topshop shoes.
The blonde hair is also starting to grow on me.

Katy Perry graced the red carpet at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday for the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball.
The singer embodied the spirit of her hit single ‘Roar’ by wearing a fuchsia feline animal print Versus Versace floor-length dress, which in true Versace fashion was slashed and accented with the brand’s signature gold safety pins.
Creating her own rebellious drama, she styled the look with a high ponytail, fuchsia lips, and large gold-hooped earrings with muted pumps raining on this parade.
Miley Cyrus was remarkably reserved on the red carpet of the 2013 American Music Awards, held on Sunday at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.
The boundaries-breaking songstress has lately kept us on our toes, keeping us guessing about which fashion side we’ll see—overtly skin-baring or sophisticatedly dazzling.
She left the daring edge for another occasion—no doubt for her closing performance later in the show—simply parading out a Versus Versace white pantsuit for her more androgynous arrival.
Sure, the jacket was plunging and there was a flicker of punk edge thanks to the oversized gold safety pin accents. But tame was still the name of this game, right down to her standard black Saint Laurent pumps and small dose of Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
She even went for a bare-faced approach (her bleached eyebrows have thankfully been restored) whilst leaving her cropped ’do without its signature voluminous attitude.
Perhaps this look only felt lacklustre because we are used to Miley making such a style scene. Still, there was something refreshing about this safer statement.
Versus has always had an undeniably cool attitude built on the house of Versace’s legacy.
Creative director Donatella describes it as follows: “Versus Versace is like a revolution in fashion. It takes the DNA of Versace, and makes something completely new. Versus Versace is the future, and it’s only just beginning.”
For its latest collection the brand has collaborated with singer M.I.A. and based its prints on those of ‘Versace’ fakes found on market stalls.
“It’s always been part of the M.I.A. culture – to talk about bootlegs, and people that sell them or make them” the singer said, “So when I was approached by Versace, it just seemed like a good idea to take all that and reverse the cycle, get Versace to copy the bootleggers. And then for the bootleggers to copy Versace copying the bootleggers, and just to keep that cycle going. It was just to basically reconnect the cycle in a way that is, I think, only possible through what I can offer Versace in the collaboration. So it was about bringing the concept of M.I.A. and the concept of Versace together.”
The collection features a street-style inspired line of graphic prints. Gold medallions, the Greek key and the Versace logo are all blown up for a colourful fall outing.
You can shop pieces from the collection, including jersey dresses, leggings, T-shirts, a maxi dress, a backpack and sneakers, exclusively at Browns Fashion now in both womenswear and menswear.
Selena Gomez was spotted outside the Ed Sullivan Theater prior to her guest appearance on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ yesterday afternoon.
The young singer wore a Versus Versace J.W. Anderson Collection Resort 2014 look which consisted of a cropped long-sleeved black top with signature gold buttons at the shoulder and a black knee-length skirt with two slits at the front.
Keeping the black-and-gold theme going, she added Giuseppe Zanotti pumps plus a selection of gold Melinda Maria jewels, including large pyramid drop earrings and a three-stud ring.
I can’t say I’m a fan of the messy high-top braid but I do love her makeup, which included a rich orangey-red shimmering lip colour.
Do you love this look or are you still willing the crop-top trend to end?
