There were many more lovely ladies who attended the InStyle Summer Soiree held at the Mondrian Los Angeles in West Hollywood, California yesterday evening.
Darby Stanchfield: The ‘Scandal’ actress instantly caught my eye, not only because of the striking contrast between her gorgeous flame-red beehive and electric-blue drop-waist Paper London dress, but mostly because of her pronounced eyebrows, which gave the look a futuristic vibe, further punctuated by her sculptural Kzeniya clutch and Emporio Armani silver pumps.
Ashley Tisdale: Although this sleeveless Clover Canyon ‘Orchid Trip’ neoprene dress is very much expected from Ashley, I love the soft pastel pieces styled with the look. The black clutch is very much the odd man out here.
Analeigh Tipton: The actress was one of many who also opted for neutral tones, wearing a chic tunic top and matching trousers by Ermanno Scervino accented with a black waistband. Opting not to go with black accessories, she wore white Casadei sandals and carried a gold Stark clutch, with Dannijo earrings completing the look.
Lily Collins made a guest appearance on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ to promote her latest movie ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ yesterday evening.
Continuing the bold-outfit, bolder-dark-lip-colour trend which earned her the most-commented post yesterday, she opted for an eye-catching neon-yellow Versace Resort 2014 dress with a blood-red lip colour.
As much as I love the long-sleeved mummy-like bodycon ruched wrap dress against her pale skin tone, I prefer the shorter length as presented in the look book.
No prizes for guessing that I am also not a fan of the heavy dark-green Casadei platform shoes, especially when those sexy Versace sandals are making my heart ache.
Are the length of Lily’s dress and her shoe choice killing your love for this look too?
To celebrate 15 years at Liverpool Football Club, Steven Gerrard, aka Stevie G, was honoured with a testimonial match against Olympiacos followed by a Gala Dinner held at the Liverpool Echo Arena on Saturday.
Alex was, of course, on hand to support her husband, arriving at the match surprisingly not wearing Balmain.
Instead, she wore a laidback look consisting of the very popular Isabel Marant ‘Maryloe’ mankolam-paisley jersey dress, as worn by Emma Roberts and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, styled with Isabel Marant ‘Memphis’ booties (worn by everyone including Emmanuelle Alt, Kate Moss and Miranda Kerr) and a black Givenchy ‘Pandora’ bag.
For the dinner she scrubbed up rather nicely, wearing a beautiful printed strapless Versace gown with a central slit styled with a black clutch with gold hardware, black sandals with gold accents, a chunky gold cuff, perfectly coiffed tresses, a red mani-pedi and a not-so-orange tan.
Selena Gomez didn’t take to the red carpet for the 2013 Young Hollywood Awards in Santa Monica, California yesterday evening, but she was spotted on stage where she accepted two awards: the ‘Fan Favourite Album’ award and the ‘Most Anticipated Tour’ award.
She showcased her great figure wearing a Versace Fall 2013 black fitted dress with leather studded panels at the shoulders and waist which she styled with black Jimmy Choo ‘Madison’ sandals, with a pop of colour coming from her red talons.
I guess she showed me that just because it’s summer doesn’t mean you can’t rock a sexy black frock. I was expecting her to rock up in another crop-top-and-shorts situ.
Her wild tresses were held back in a centre-parted ponytail.
Are you as thankful as I that she selected the commercial version of this dress?
Mena Suvari put her style in gear, as she took to the red carpet for the fifth annual Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival 2013′s opening night on Wednesday at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California.
The actress played quite the golden girl in top-to-toe Versace; a look that hit on the design house’s opulent heritage.
Her Versace Collection halter cocktail frock was draped at the sides and featured an open back that led to a flirty full skirt. The dress’s sprocket and gold leaf prints, not to mention the gold Medusa belt, was classic Versace.
A brushed gold cylinder clutch and metallic sandals upped the shine quotient, and she intensified the drama with oxblood nails.
With all that metal and those intricate cogs and gears, this look could have walked into excessive territory. But Mena managed to keep it fresh with the dress’s shorter silhouette, along with her radiant, rose-tinged makeup and sleek long bob.
Jennifer Hudson joined Sophia Bush on the red carpet yesterday evening for the 2013 Do Something Awards held at Avalon in Hollywood, California.
The singer, who also performed at the event, wore a Versace head-to-toe look consisting of a leopard-print blouse and black flared shorts which she accessorized with Medusa accented jewels and white ankle-cuff studded pumps.
Sporting blunt bangs in her hair with light-brown and blonde streaks adds a funky punk edge to the look, with smoky eyes and nude lips rounding off her beauty regime.
I love this look from head to toe; it’s sexy and fun, but I’m not a fan of the sheer tights.
Anna Faris promoted her TV show ‘Mom’ during the Television Critics Association’s Summer Press Tour for the CBS/CW/Showtime panels held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, followed by the party.
Television Critic Association’s Summer Press Tour: Reviving the black-and-white trend, the actress wore a graphic Alice + Olivia zig-zag crochet peplum dress from the Spring 2013 collection which she styled with black sandals.
CW, CBS And Showtime 2013 Summer TCA Party: Anna’s second look would’ve have certainly got her noticed on the red carpet as she donned a bright yellow Versace frock with body-contouring panels and a single gold stripe. Complementary Jimmy Choo ‘Smooth’ gold sandals, a Jennifer Meyer bracelet and Dana Rebecca earrings completed her look.
Both looks are so sexy and chic. I find myself being very impressed with the Alice + Olivia frock as I didn’t know a crochet dress could look so good; however, the bold Versace is my favourite of the two.
