‘Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom’ Special Screening Red Carpet Roundup

'Mandela Long Walk To Freedom' Special Screening Red Carpet Roundup

There were some models who took to the red carpet yesterday evening for the ‘Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom’ screening hosted by U2, Anna Wintour, and Bob and Harvey Weinstein with Burberry in New York City.

Anne V: Working a black-and-red look, the model wore a Versace Fall 2013 embossed sleeveless dress with black accessories in the same manner as Nieves Alvarez. I would’ve loved her to have worked either fierce smoky eyes or a bold lip colour with this look.

Chanel Iman: She did work a smoky eye with her pretty J. Mendel Resort 2014 seafoam silk-mousseline and satin-faced chiffon gown featuring geometric-cut pleating.

Sessilee Lopez: Turning to her go-to designer and friend Zac Posen, the pregnant model donned a Zac Posen pretty printed Spring 2014 gown with ruffled shoulders and a V-neckline.

Considering the star of the movie Naomie Harris didn’t wear a gown, did Chanel Iman and Sessilee Lopez overdress for this screening?

Best Dressed Of The Week – Elizabeth Banks In Versace & David Gandy

Best Dressed Of The Week - Elizabeth Banks In Versace

We both crowned Queen Elizabeth Banks and the gorgeous David Gandy as best dressed this week.

Elizabeth looked stunning in her Versace orange gown which was just one of many great looks she presented to us during ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ promo tour.

David wasn’t all about this good looks; his attention to detail, colour coordination and impeccable sense of style earned him this weeks honour.

Lady Gaga In Versace – 2013 American Music Awards

Lady Gaga In Versace - 2013 American Music AwardsLady Gaga reached deep into her grab-bag of looks at the 2013 American Music Awards, held on Sunday evening at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

In grand Gaga fashion, Mother Monster made another dramatic, head-turning entrance as she arrived on the red carpet sitting atop a white human horse, activated by two people underneath. Perhaps she’s simultaneously channeling a romantic white knight and damsel in distress.

The eccentric ‘Applause’ songstress was just named the face of Versace’s Spring 2014 campaign, so she naturally wore a confection from that collection.

The lavender cutout gown, accented with an armor-like harness of chains and charms, even appears to a manipulated version of the one she’s donning in the Italian fashion house’s ad.

The elephant (or horse) in the room? With her long blonde locks and cheekbone-chiseled bronzer, just call her Donatella Versace 2.0.

Eva Longoria In Versace Collection – 2013 Person of the Year honoring Miguel Bose

Eva Longoria In Versace Collection - 2013 Person of the Year honoring Miguel Bose

Following her Global Gift Gala in London this week, Eva Longoria headed to Las Vegas, Nevada for the 2013 Person of the Year honoring Miguel Bose held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

Working a figure-flattering Versace Collection dress, the actress styled her draped one-shoulder white gown with yellow-and-black detailing at the neckline with gold accessories including a Cartier bracelet and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.

As you know, I’m only really a fan of Eva’s style when she’s working the red carpet at Cannes, but this week she’s surprised me by presenting two gowns in a row that I actually like. And it’s not just the dresses I like, but the styling too.

‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ LA Premiere Menswear Roundup

'The Hunger Games Catching Fire' LA Premiere Menswear Roundup

There were some swoon worthy gentlemen who joined Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks and Jena Malone on the red carpet on Monday evening for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ LA premiere

Liam Hemsworth: The handsome actor wore a Dior Homme black wool notch-lapel suit, white cotton shirt and a black-and-white polka-dot tie styled with David Yurman accessories.

Josh Hutcherson: The actor donned Dolce & Gabbana again, wearing a three-piece suit with a speckled-print tie to add some pizzazz to the look. On this occasion I wish the trousers had a slimmer fit.

Sam Claflin: The actor’s tieless streak continued. He wore an Alexander McQueen Prince of Wales double breasted jacket with a white open shirt, signature printed scarf and black trousers. I like the individual pieces, but not as it is styled here.

Alan Ritchson: You are always guaranteed to stand out in a Versace Collection suit, so the handsome actor selected a teal-green two-button suit with notched lapels, which he styled with a white Versace shirt and black skinny tie.

Does Alan upstage the main stars in their dark suits, or do you prefer their more classic red-carpet look?
