Front Row @ Versace Spring 2018

Many expected the front row of Versace’s Spring 2018 show to be celeb heavy, but tonight was all about celebrating an icon, so only a trios of stars were front and center.

I was very excited to be seated behind them.

Amber Valleta: I’m sure you’re thinking this tuxedo dress was a bit of a snooze, but this picture doesn’t tell the true story as the party was at the back. The open back was accented with chains for a true rock n’ roll Versace touch.

Charlene, Princess of Monaco: I have never been in the presence of royalty, so this was quite an honour. I was immediately captivated by how statuesque Charlene was. And even more so by her graceful manor and calming presence when the room felt so hectic. There was no diluting the spirit of Versace in this look, her highness perfected her ode to 80s Versace in a cut-out chainmail dress and biker jacket accented with silver medusa’s.

Lewis Hamilton: Now, it was 24 degree today – warmer in the venue – and Lewis was wearing a wool coat, cashmere sweater and leather trousers – not too dissimilar from those he wears on the racetrack. As a fellow weather cautious Brit who also travelled to Milan in leather jacket, I won’t judge Lewis too harshly, but you won’t be surprised to learn that after this picture he was quick to ditch the coat. His assistant/stylist shared that she pulled the look as she wanted something unique that no one else would’ve been wearing, before we shared a joke that sometimes you just have to suffer for a short period for fashion. Good to know that men share this sentiment too.

Supermodels pay tribute to Gianni Versace

When I was told that Versace were going to do something special to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Gianni Versace’s death, I immediately booked a ticket to Milan because I wanted to be a part of the celebration.

If you don’t know the story already, Versace is the reason why I fell in love with fashion.

The show was highly emotional, with a voiceover reminding us why we fell in love with fashion, how Gianni changed the landscape of fashion, and why we still love and miss him 20 years on.

The Spring 2018 show paid a beautiful homage to his unparalleled work. I felt a huge sense of nostalgia. It took me back to my teenager years flicking through issues of Vogue and wishing to be part of that world one day.

I’ve been to countless shows, but this one felt different. You could feel something in the air; even the models had a more determined pattern to their stride.

All was revealed when the curtain dropped following the finale.

Cue goosebumps upon goosebumps as the REAL supermodels Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen strode forward with Donatella Versace to George Michael’s ‘Freedom’.

I won’t lie, I was fighting back the tears, others couldn’t, and I don’t blame them such was the heightened emotion of it all.

After speaking to some of the models who weren’t even born during Gianni’s era, they shared that there weren’t that many dry eyes backstage after the show.

If you didn’t see the show head to Versace.it.

It’s a 14 minute trip down memory lane, and a fitting celebration of a true fashion icon.

Kim Kardashian In Versace – Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates ‘ICONS By Carine Roitfeld’

As Kim Kardashian has reintroduced the platinum-blonde strands for this season’s edition of New York Fashion Week, she certainly has put any wallflower tendencies behind her.

At Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates ‘ICONS By Carine Roitfeld’, where she joined Selena Gomez and Nicki Minaj, she matched hair and gown with this liquid-silver Versace design and coordinating choker neckpiece.

What I’m most impressed by is that she was able to keep the gown from slipping right off the girls, so dangerously low did it seem to ride.

Matt and Luciana Damon In Versace and Atelier Versace – ‘Downsizing’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Matt and Luciana Damon brought some his and hers glamour to the ‘Downsizing’ Venice Film Festival premiere this evening (August 30).

Matt Damon: The actor joined his co-stars Hong and Kristen opting for a classic, no-fuss black, shawl collar Versace tuxedo. I only wish the trousers hasn’t been so long.

Luciana Damon: Oozing movie star glamour, Luciana looked stunning wearing an Atelier Versace Fall 2017 gown. I’m drinking everything in from the radiant red hue, to the elegant bronze and rose gold beading, to the flowy sheer skirt. This might just be the best she’s ever looked, styling her gown with a Versace heels and clutch.

Emily Ratajkowski dons La Perla & Versace for her Jimmy Kimmel visit

Emily Ratajkowski made her first ever appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ where she talked about the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that Kimmel’s mum kindly made for everyone at the Emmys last year, and the fact that she doesn’t count calories in order to maintain her svelte shape.

Arrival: As you would expect the model rocked a sexy pink La Perla outfit which was part tuxedo, part sheer dress. I can’t say I’m that fond of the creation, but she manages to wear it well enough to showcase at least one of her USPs. The look was simply styled with Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Darcie’ sandals.

Show: Summer calls for statement prints and vibrant colour schemes, so what better way to hail the season than this Botticelli-esqe printed shirt dress which was presented during Versace’s Spring 2018 menswear show. I was significantly more excited about this look for the reasons stated about plus it didn’t feel predictable. Donatella wore the sleeveless version as she took her bow.

Pixie Lott In Versace – The Global Gift Gala Party

Pixie Lott was invited perform at Eva Longoria’s Global Gift Gala party at STK Ibiza on Friday (July 21) Spain, where she entertained guests including Lucy Mecklenburgh.

After a brief flirtation with pink hair, it was back to blonde for the star, who took to the red carpet in Versace.

I love how the bold, graphic print on this Versace dress channels youthful edge, making a huge impact with minimum effort.

Pixie isn’t standing barefoot on her tippy toes, she’s actually wearing Public Desire perspex heels so the focus lands firmly on her frock.

Liberty Ross In Vintage Versace – ‘The Defiant Ones’ New York Premiere

Liberty Ross certainly defied convention while attending ‘The Defiant Ones’ premiere on Tuesday (June 27) in New York City alongside Priyanka Chopra.

Keeping it short and not-so sweet, the actress wore her bondage style vintage Versace Fall 1992 mini dress with confidence.

There was drama aplenty with a leather bra and belt strap harness design with a simple black form-fitting skirt bringing a moment of calm to the dress.

I love the drama of this look. Classic Gianni Versace at its finest.
